Guest Post with Author Robyn Thomas and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome author Robyn Thomas to RFTC. Robyn is celebrating the release of her book, Famously Engaged and has stopped by to chat. Please give her a warm welcome.

Robyn is a cheesecake connoisseur, caffeine addict, and mother of two boys. Happily married, she lives in Melbourne, Australia. Writing romance helps her balance the effects of living in an all-male household. Robyn loves romantic comedies, art glass, cooking and browsing in quirky gift shops.

Places to find Robyn:

Beth Carlisle, my heroine in Famously Engaged, is a chef so today I’m going to talk about cheese!

When the slice of cheese you live on turns from cheddar to Swiss overnight, and the holes are big enough to fall through, it’s time to grab hold of what matters most. Beth is alone after attending her mother’s funeral. She’ll need three things to get through the next week: her home, her ex-husband and her talent for blocking out the world while she cooks. Jake Olsen, my hero, poses a threat to all three from the moment he arrives on her doorstep.

His presence attracts paparazzi who are eager to report on his sudden ‘engagement’ to a non-celebrity. Beth’s hold on her home begins to slip because living there is different now that she’s housing a rock star and fuelling a media frenzy. To make matters worse, the siege conditions limit her ability to stay in close contact with her BFF, her ex-husband, Brad. With all of that going on, cooking takes on an even greater importance. Her kitchen is her sole refuge… until Jake’s personal chef shows up.

The three things she most needs are all out of reach and Jake stands in their place. He doesn’t have the history her home has, he hasn’t been an integral part of her life every day since she was eight, and the refuge she finds in his arms is strictly temporary. It’ll never work between them because he’s some rare and exotic sliver of cheese and she’s always imagined sharing her future with a big block of plain, ordinary cheddar. Can he convince her to upgrade?

A chef and a rock star. They couldn’t be from more different worlds…

Rock star royalty’s favorite son, Jake Olsen, couldn’t help but interfere after listening to his future brother-in-law talk non-stop about his ex-wife, Beth Carlisle. Jake decides that the only way to get the groom’s mind off his ex-wife is to give her a fake fiancĂ©.

Before Jake can convince Beth of his plan, he's forced to move in with her to avoid the paparazzi. Their instant attraction makes for a sizzling "first date", but soon Jake’s fame gets in the way and Beth wants out. Too bad Jake's figured out just why her ex is so obsessed with her, and he's afraid he's not going to be able to give her up either.

Now it's up to Jake to convince this chef together they make the perfect recipe.

I like that cheese analogy - I love Asiago - I wonder what that means?

Hi Di, lol, I had to look it up. Apparently you can substitute aged parmesan for it, so I'm a fan already. Must get some to try... just as soon as I unpack enough moving boxes to make my kitchen workable :-)

Hi Eva, you're most welcome. And being an Aussie, I'm more than happy to ship it anywhere (not just US.)
