Feature and Giveaway: Wrecked by Shiloh Walker

In the nineties, Abigale Applegate and Zach Barnes were the most beloved sitcom child stars in the world. Then they grew up and left Hollywood behind…

Whatever happened to Abigale Applegate?

She’s been wondering the same thing.

With her Hollywood dreams long gone, Abigale now has a nice, neat, uncomplicated life—until the day her perfect fiancĂ© needs to talk. Dumped, a little more than shattered, and totally confused, Abigale turns to Zach, her best friend since forever, to help her pick up the pieces. He does it with a gift—a copy of Wreck This Journal. She can vent her frustrations, and sketch out a new plan. Zach just hopes he’s part of it. Because he’s been in love with Abigale his entire life.

When the journal falls into Zach’s hands, he discovers Abigale wants a new man. And fast. Nothing more than a hot distraction. Zach has a strategy, too. He’s going to be that man. It’s his last chance. Abigale might be out to shake up her life, but Zach’s out to reinvent it. Now, all he has to do is convince Abigale that life can go as planned.

I am a friends to lovers story, so I like them. : ) I can't think of a specific book I've read, but it's only 5:30am, so my brain isn't functioning yet. Thanks for the chance to win a copy of your book. It sounds really good!

I used to be fairly ambivalent about them, but I've read some really good ones and have since become a fan. I find they're one of the few things that work realistically in novellas because the connection between the cahracters is already there.

Love Shiloh and looking forward to reading this!

Friends to lovers can be really good, or not so much. I think it is very realistic since so many people in real life have gotten together that way.

love them, I think they could be fun. Hummm.. How about The Marriage Mistake, the two were kind of friends as children.

I think they're GREAT. Even better is when it's a surprise to both.

I love them! Whether it's a surprise attraction after a long friendship, or one that's been one or both sided, I think they're great.

When it comes to favorites, I don't have any that I can think of off the top of my head, but I've just recently read Shey Stahl's Racing on the Edge series which is a fantastic set of friends turning into lovers books. It follows one couple through the years and is just wonderful.

I dont have any favorites but I do like reading them. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

I love them. I don't have any favorites. I think I like them because it proves that you don't always see what's right in front of you.

I like friends to lovers stories when they're well written. I love the sexual tension and then the aha moment when they realize how they feel about each other.

I don't have a favorite but I do love the friends-to-lovers scenario!

Cassi Carver said...

I wrote a friends-to-lovers story and it was the hardest thing I've ever written. The problem was that they were perfect for each other and there was no good reason for them not to be together. Try creating conflict for two easy-going characters who totally love each other. NEVER again! LOL

LOVE them. My mind is totally blank right now re: a literary version, but my all-time movie favorite is When Harry Met Sally!

Kelly Metz said...

I love them, probably because I lived it. I was friends with my husband first and we've been together nearly 11 years now.

I enjoy 'em - it's a good way to start a relationship & they know a lot about each other that can make the story fun.
