My Favorite Book Boyfriend Event Kickoff and Giveaway

Welcome to the My Favorite Book Boyfriend Event. Ramblings From This Chick is turning 2 and I couldn't think of a better to celebrate than to ask a bunch of awesome authors to come by and share who their all-time favorite book boyfriends were. Not only is each author that comes by sharing their choice of boyfriend, but they will also be giving away the book said boyfriend is from along with a book of their own. But that's not all! Each participating author as donated goodies to go towards a grand prize. So you will have lots of chance and opportunities to win some pretty awesome books!

Sounds like fun right?

I thought I would kick things off by sharing my favorite book boyfriend.

This was really a no-brainer for me. From the moment he stepped on the page in Dark Lover, Zsadist had my attention. I knew there was so much more to him then what was being reflected on the pages, that he was brutally evil bastard that killed women for fun. I just knew there was more to him and his story. Flash forward to his book Lover Awakened, you already start to see some of the cracks in that facade. Yes, he's brutal and slightly evil. I mean, if he were my enemy I wouldn't want to be caught dead in an alley with him. But underneath all of that he's fierce and loving warrior who would do anything to protect the ones he loves. ANYTHING. He might not always show his true feelings (unless when it comes to Bella and Nalla) but you know that he's a loyal companion who you would gladly have at your back.

*Sigh*

Who's your all-time favorite book boyfriend?

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there’s a deadly war raging between vampires and their slayers. And there exists a secret band of brothers like no other - six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Of these, Zsadist is the most terrifying member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

A former blood slave, the vampire Zsadist still bears the scars from a past filled with suffering and humiliation. Renowned for his unquenchable fury and sinister deeds, he is a savage feared by humans and vampires alike. Anger is his only companion, and terror is his only passion—until he rescues a beautiful aristocrat from the evil Lessening Society.

Bella is instantly entranced by the seething power Zsadist possesses. But even as their desire for one another begins to overtake them both, Zsadist’s thirst for vengeance against Bella’s tormentors drives him to the brink of madness. Now, Bella must help her lover overcome the wounds of his tortured past, and find a future with her…

It's hard to pick my all-time favorite, but I am definitely on board with your picking Z! I could re-read his book over and over and never get board.

I can't count how many times I've read his book as well as listened to the audio book. I still cry like a baby every time I read it. Love him and love his book. It't my all-time favorite. Love it!

Hard question but I would go with gregori from Christine Feehan's dark series. The man is hot, intimidating and can turn into a wolf...yummm

Love the idea of the Book Boyfriend Event!
My favorite book boyfriend has to be Jericho Barrons from Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. He is so unabashedly feral...I love, love, love him!
Yep, total Barrons obsession!

I have to say that it is really hard to pick just one, but if I have to I would say it is Vlad from the Night Huntress series. There is just something about a smoking hot (literally) prince of vampires! I love that he has his own series now.

Well, I have never read the BDB books but everyone talks about them so I guess this year I will have to start the series! My all time favorite book boyfriend is probably Conrad Flynn from Operation Sheba by Misty Evans. Love, love, love him. Who wouldn't love a spy who wants to save the world? :)

Jamie Frasier from the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. Who doesn't want a big, red headed Highlander to take care of them?

Donna E said...

Don't think I have a favorite book boyfriend -- I mostly like all the men in the books I read. But Rhett Butler from "Gone with the Wind" comes to mind.

RFTC Blog said...

Ah, good catch. Lol.

I'm not sure if he is my favorite, but he was my first book BF so he always holds a special place in my heart. Ash Redfern from Daughters of Darkness by LJ SMith.

I have many favorite book boyfriends. One of them is Creed Saint-Pierre from Her Vampire Husband.

Kim said...

Oh my gosh! That's a HARD question to answer. I think my favorite changes on what book I'm currently reading.

Crystal Rister said...

That's really hard to answer since it changes with each great book I read... I have had a many book crushes. But the one that has always stuck is Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.

lorimeehan said...

I love Ian MacKenzie from The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie by Jennifer Ashley.

Unknown said...

I actually couldn't choose. It changes depend on my mood. Sometimes I like him bad, wicked, powerful, an alpha-male. But sometimes I like him to be calm and soothing, a very down-to-earth beta-hero kind. :D
But here's some of them: Leo Hathaway from Married by Morning, Chase from Texas! Chase, Alex from Then Came You, Roarke from In Death series (for his wealth, power, and his library :D), Ian Mackenzie from The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, Jack from Suddenly You, and more.

jmcgaugh said...

My all time favorite would be Gabaldon's Jamie Fraser.

Crispin "Bones" Russell from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. I know there are many books out there I haven't had the pleasure of reading yet, but my heart belongs to Bones. He is my ideal book boyfriend :)

I'm going with Zane K - WereHunter Sherri Kenyon
he likes LUSCIOUS women!!!

CMD said...

I don't read PNR, so I haven't read the BDB (I know, I must be like the only person in the world who hasn't, haha). There's entirely too many great book boyfriends to pick an absolute favourite, but I'll go with my most recent re-read: Zach McBride from Pamela Clare's BREAKING POINT (book #5 in her I-Team romantic suspense series). He's got just the right amount of alpha-ness without being overbearing.

Texas Book Lover said...

See this is just too hard of a question for me to answer. There are so many fabulous alpha men in books for me to choose my absolute favorite. Every time I start to lean to one I think about another and another and end up going in this huge circle and never decide on one. A few of my favorites in that circle are (in no particle order) Bones, Barons, Roarke, The BDB's, Ash & several other of the Dark Hunters, and, and, and...

Leannessf said...

Too many good ones out there - Barrons from Fever series by Moning!

Thanks,
Leanne

For me it's Adam Hauptman from Mercy Thompson and Pritkin from Cassie Palmer! Thanks for giveaway. That's a fun question :) Damaris

I think I am going to have to go with Gavin from Collide right now. I agree with several posters and I think any of the boys from the BDB series would certainly fit the profile.

JenniferK said...

I love Reyes from Darynda Jones' Charley Davidson series.

rebecca said...

Ack! I have to pick one? I guess I'll go with my very first--Nat, from The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. I literally read three copies of that book to pieces....

Di said...

I can't possibly pick - maybe I'm fickle cause it's often who ever I'm reading about. But some of my favorites are Lori Foster's guys and Stephanie Laurens heroes, and my new favorites Monica McCarty's Highland Guard.

Roarke from In Death series. Always him, and others just make it into my harem, lol. I love how he so supportive into Eve, but still alpha to the core. Alpha doesn't mean he see the heroine is below them, it mean he understand about her but still can make reader swoon with his manliness ;)

Unknown said...

My forever book boyfriend is Rhage from the BDB, A big blonde who likes tootsie pops...mmmmm.

My all time favorite is Rhett Butler, but I love them all.

Jolene and Family said...

I have to go with Wraith and Con from Larissa Ione's Demonica series!

I don't think I have a favorite book boyfriend because I tend to love the male character in most of the books I read. I love when I find a book where I can become invested in the characters and find things about them that I love.

I have not read the BDB series yet — it seems like every time I go to the library they are all checked out — so my fingers are crossed for luck.

Thank you for the giveaway!

Best Wishes,
Lindsey V.
