I’m thrilled to be here today at Ramblings From This Chick to share my favorite book boyfriend…um, boyfriends. You see, I can’t decide. I’ve been in love with these two men for almost the exact same amount of time…say, oh, 23 years or so. They’re both tall, dark and dreamy and when I think of them I get, well, quite steamy.
Let me tell you a little more about the loves of my young reading life…
First we have Caine, Marquess of Cainwood from Julie Garwood’s Guardian Angel. Powerful and charismatic, Caine is an ex-government operative who is out for revenge against the pirate who killed his little brother. Brooding and lethal, no one who has gone up against Caine has come out the winner.
On the other hand, we have Anthony Mallory from Johanna Lindsey’s Tender Rebel. Anthony’s more your charming rake, with a devilmaycare attitude, a sharp wit and a fabulous sense of humor. No one who has gone up against Tony has come out the winner, either—in the boxing ring at Gentlemen Jackson’s, that is.

Hi Heather! You've got your self some great heroes.
Can my heroes be both? I love myself a devil may care hero but then when it comes to their lady, they can be as commanding as they like, but then I wouldn't listen to them anyways. They're not always right and I'm not always agreeable. And I like to take hold of the reins, so my heroes have to be able to keep up with me on that front.
Oh, Kipha! Then you would love both of these men :) Remember, I told you they fell for fiesty redheads? I can assure you at more than one point in each of these books, the heroine takes the reins...much to our heroes' consternation and delight ;)

I like either, also. Devil may care is good because he can be caught in love without realizing it is coming. The commanding hero is good because he thinks he has everything under control, but can't control love.

Johanna Lindsey's Mallory Clan is one of my favorite families. The women are bold and brash and the men all that and much more. I love Julie Garwood's historical novels, especially the Highlander series with Brodick and Ramsey. Yummy!

I like a healthy mixture of both! The commanding hero seems to offer you a great sense of safety, the devil may care with their heartwarming humor. The combination would be really hard to resist!
I think a combination of both sounds hot. But I do prefer commanding. I haven't read those particular Julie Garwood and Johanna Lindsey books but I have read some of them. I have to admit that the one Johanna Lindsey book I read, I absolutely despised. Maybe I should give her a second chance though. Garwood has grown on me, on the other hand. I've probably read 4 or 5 of her books and everyone I seem to like more than the last.
