Her next book, THE GREATEST LOVER EVER, is released on December 31.
Places to find Christina:
How lovely of Danielle to invite me to this wonderful party! Thank you for having me with you today.
My theme is “A Kiss Between Friends on Christmas Eve”. My hero decided to write a poem on the subject. I always say there’s nothing like bad poetry to tell a lady a gentleman loves her!
Happy holidays to you all and I hope you enjoy this little Christmas offering!
***
To Amelia, on Christmas Eve
by An Indifferent Poet
With good cheer of the season
We dance and make merry
The house all decked out
Ivy twines with red berry
The soiree is ending
Guests drift away now
You pause looking wistful
’Neath the kissing bough
And it comes to me
That a maid who is standing
In that tempting spot
A kiss is demanding
Not from me, oh, no!
For we are but friends
If I take that kiss
All bonhomie ends
But I watch you and wonder
How that mouth, so merry
Would taste beneath mine
Be it honey or cherry?
Alone now, eyes meet
My pulse starts to race
My heart starts to hammer
At double the pace
Who is this girl
I’ve known all my life?
A friend, not a lover
A friend, not a wife
But your smile, your eyes
Your laughter, so dear
The way I can’t think straight
Now you are near…
And even as honor
Demands I desist
I draw you closer
And you don’t resist
For you’ve known all along
What I’ve surely missed
It’s by far and away
High time that we kissed.

THE SWEETEST SCANDAL
Beautiful, exuberant, and stubborn Georgiana Black has more spirit than sense—which she learns when an ultimatum to the Earl of Beckenham ends their engagement. Six years later, Georgie is less concerned with impending spinsterhood than with making sure her young sister doesn’t make the same mistakes she did. But soon Georgie stumbles into a scandalous encounter with none other than her former fiancĂ©. Beckenham is still breathtakingly desirable—and as iron-willed as ever…
THE TRUEST TEMPTATION
Beckenham’s brief engagement to Georgie taught him one thing—when it comes to a wife, he wants a woman who will do her duty and cause no trouble. When the fiery Georgie falls unexpectedly into his arms, Beckenham remembers just how lushly delectable she is. Suddenly, the idea of actually marrying Georgie is irresistible. Convincing her will take more than a simple proposal, however. In a battle of wills, can passion conquer pride?

Love your poem, Christina! And I'm truly sorry I haven't read anything by you yet...as you are a new-to-me author of historical romance. BTW, that is my fave genre for reading, so it's about high time I DID read something of yours, isn't it? I'm so glad I got introduced to you on this post. jdh2690@gmail.com

How is Amelia to resist such a poem? But now I'm curious about the name of the lovelorn hero who writes such wonderful poetry to his beloved.
