Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" is my favorite book of all time because that was the book that made me a book lover.
Dragonsinger by Anne McCaffrey. I love the world and characters she created.
A duke of her own by Eloisa James. I love how strong the heroine is.
I have to go with Gone with the Wind....because, well, just because! Love the book, love the film! It's a timeless love/hate story.
The Giver. It's a classic for me.
Whitney My Love by Judith McNaught.
I don't really have any one specific favorite book so much as many favorites, but one I really liked was The Weight of Words by Georgina Guthrie. It's such a great book.

A Prayer For Owen Meany. I can read it over and over
Wizard's First Rule. It is the book that got me into Fantasy. I love how well developed the world and characters became throughout the book/series.
I don't have an all time favorite. There are so many amazing books I've read plus I am indecisive so that doesn't help either.
I have many favorites, so it's hard to pick just one. Gone With the Wind first came to mind, but I also loved When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James and Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson.
Which ever one I am reading that I cannot put down is my favorite.
Gone With The Wind... its a classic and yard stick by which I measure all other books.
Don't have just one - I'm enjoying Janet Chapman's 'For the Love of Magic' right now - loved her Highlander series & this is a connected series.
All time, that is a toughie but if there was one book I was stranded on an island with probably would be Forever Amber, it was the book that hooked me into reading.
I love ALL the romance book I read...The two I go back to in my mind are Hannah Howell's Highland Bride because I love Scots and Gillyanne was such an ae,wesome strong capable heroine. Robin Schone had a novella, A Lady's Pleasure that had scenes in it that I still haven't forgotten. Thanks for the giveaway.
Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. It has plenty of action, a great hero and heroine, lots of interesting and fun secondary characters, a touch of humor and romance at it's starting stages.

I'd have to say Dragondrums (Harper Hall Trilogy#3) by Anne McCaffrey b/c I read it when I was 12 and it was the first "romance" that I was thrilled to read about (Menolly and Sebell... 4evah!)
Paradise by Judith McNaught because it's the first real adult romance book I read.
Don Quixote by Cervantes because I'm not the "ideal heroine" and I loved that Don Quixote only so the "good side" of his Dulcinea!
It's Not Easy Being a Bunny by Marilyn Sadler. I used to read this to my girls when they were little and they loved pretending to be the different animals. Brings back some great memories. Hopefully in about 5 to 6 years I can be reading it to some grandkids!
Jackson Rule by Dinah McCall. This was a very heartbreaking and uplifting book!
My favorite childhood book, and it still brings back a lot of fond memories, is "Caps for Sale". My favorite adult book is harder. I have lots of favorite authors but choosing just one of their books is just too hard. I have several books that I love going back to and re-reading them. So for now, I stick with my childhood favorite.

Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt! I love that book! I read it when I was in middle school and that was what got me to love reading. I read any kind of fantasy/romance book after that and maybe that's why I'm so into historical romance book
There are so many good books, I used to say Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Devereaux was my favorite but I think it changes regularly. Thanks for being so generous. lisagk(at)yahoo(dot)com

Gone With The Wind--something my grandma enjoyed reading...she let me borrow her book
Oh wow tough choice. Probably "Colter's Woman" by Maya Banks. It was the first book to turn me into an erotica fan. The book was so realistic I wanted to be part of the family!

Imdalind Series By Rebecca Ethington. Because it's the most original book I've read in a long time C:
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. But, Deborah Harkness's A Discovery of Witches trilogy is not far behind currently...
So hard to pick just one! How about childhood book would be Ann Frank's Diary. Later in life, Harry Potter. As I reached some level of maturity, Great Expectations. Last but not least, Persuassion. All of them because they hold some kind of hope in spite of their struggles and griefs.
