Sealed With a Kiss Event with Amanda Forester

Amanda Forester Amanda Forester holds a PhD in psychology and worked for many years in academia before discovering that writing historical romance was decidedly more fun. A Publishers Weekly Top Ten author, her books have been given starred reviews from Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and Top Pick from Romantic Times Book Reviews. Whether in the rugged Highlands of medieval Scotland or the decadent ballrooms of Regency England her novels offer fast-paced adventures filled with wit, intrigue, and romance. She continues her Highlander series, which includes THE HIGHLANDER'S SWORD, THE HIGHLANDER'S HEART, and TRUE HIGHLAND SPIRIT, with THE HIGHLANDER'S BRIDE to be released fall of 2015. Sir Gavin Patrick is a Highland warrior sent to fight against the English who threaten to conquer France. When he saves the life of a French noble he is more than willing to accept a reward for his service, though having the dubious honor of escorting the noble's pampered daughter to Scotland to meet her betrothed, is not at all what he had in mind.

Along the way they meet much adversity: raiders, kidnappers, betrayal, an abandoned baby, and a storm of the century. Through it all, Lady Colette proves to be so much more than Gavin first thought, and he does the one thing he knows he must never do; he falls in love.

Check out Colette and Gavin's love story in The Highlander's Bride.

After several years of fighting in France, all Sir Gavin Patrick wants to do is go home to Scotland. He thinks his life will be easier off the battlefield, until he is saddled with a passel of orphans, a massive treasure to transport, and a sharp-tongued French heiress, Lady Marie Colette, whom he is honor bound to escort to her Highland fiancé. The situation gets worse when they are forced to pose as a married couple to sneak out of France. Stuck in a small cabin on a long voyage, Gavin and Colette fight against their forbidden attraction while pretending to be a happy couple... yet they both want to do so much more than pretend.

How sad their letters. I can't imagine being in love with one person only to have to wed another.

I can hear the Scottish accent as I read Sir Gavin's letter. Adding to the ever growing TBR list (I may have to get an iPad with more storage!)

I adore Amanda Forester's Highlander romances and own every single one of them except for The Highlander's Heart. So I'm not entering for a copy of True Highland Spirit...I just wanted to say "Hi" to Amanda and tell her I'm thrilled she has a new release coming out. I can hardly wait for The Highlander's Bride! And the letters in this post are heartbreaking! But I am also sure Amanda will find a way to let Colette and Gavin reach their HEA. :-) Thanks for this post. jdh2690@gmail.com
