I will admit that on first glance, The Bronze Horseman isn’t the type of book I would have picked up if not for the glowing, gushing praise I’d seen for the book online. It’s on a lot of people’s top tens so when I saw it on sale I downloaded it to my kindle and…promptly forgot about it.

Fast forward about a year. I was bored. Nothing I’d read engaged me and then I decided to finally read TBH.

Well, I have no idea why I waited so long but the book blew me away. It’s long, over 700 pages and I did nothing but read for 2 days until I finished it.

Alexander is the most tragic, hot, insanely sexy, loyal and frustrating hero I’ve ever read. And Tatiana, was more than his match. Their story, told against the backdrop of the blockade of Leningrad was heartbreaking, real and the struggles they went through stayed with me for days.

To me the sign of a great book is when you can’t stop thinking about it. I thought about Alexander and Tatiana for weeks. I convinced all my girlfriends to read the book and every single one of them felt the same.

This couple will break your heart. But man, it will be so worth it.

The golden skies, the translucent twilight, the white nights, all hold the promise of youth, of love, of eternal renewal. The war has not yet touched this city of fallen grandeur, or the lives of two sisters, Tatiana and Dasha Metanova, who share a single room in a cramped apartment with their brother and parents. Their world is turned upside down when Hitler's armies attack Russia and begin their unstoppable blitz to Leningrad.

Yet there is light in the darkness. Tatiana meets Alexander, a brave young officer in the Red Army. Strong and self-confident, yet guarding a mysterious and troubled past, he is drawn to Tatiana—and she to him. Starvation, desperation, and fear soon grip their city during the terrible winter of the merciless German siege. Tatiana and Alexander's impossible love threatens to tear the Metanova family apart and expose the dangerous secret Alexander so carefully protects—a secret as devastating as the war itself—as the lovers are swept up in the brutal tides that will change the world and their lives forever.

I had The Bronze Horsemen recommended to me and I dutifully put it on my wish list. I suspect I'll really love it. I've procrastinated getting to books and then fell in love with them too, kicking myself that I waited so long for the wonderful reading experience.
Congrats on your latest Bad Boys release and thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

What a unique love story, The Bronze Horseman. I think it is "calling" to me! Good to "meet" you, Juliana, though I know you've written quite a lot. I'm afraid I got stuck in the historical romance genre and am just now moving toward romantic suspense and contemporary romance. A whole new world has opened up for me! Thanks for this post's introduction to you (for me). jdh2690@gmail.com
