Guest Post with Author Louisa Bacio and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome Author Louisa Bacio to the blog. Louisa is currently on tour celebrating the release of her book The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: A Threesome Wedding Adventure and has stopped by to chat. Before I give the floor over to Louisa, lets get to know her a bit.

Louisa Bacio enjoys soaking up the sun in Southern California, and spending time with her family.

Bacio’s work includes the Sex University series, with her debut novel Physical Education and the follow-up All-Girls Academy. Her story “Two’s Company” can be found in I Kissed a Girl: A Virgin Lesbian Anthology. Other short stories can be found in the Seducing the Myth anthology, and Rekindled: An Anthology of Reunited Lovers.

In addition to writing and editing, Bacio teaches college courses in English, journalism, film studies and popular culture.

When Inspiration Strikes

Grazie to Dani for letting me guest today on Ramblings from This Chick. Today, I’m going to ramble on a bit about the setting inspiration of my new release, The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: A Threesome Wedding Adventure.

I was in Vegas in April 2011, relaxing by the shimmering pool with a vodka cranberry in hand when book 1, The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: A New Orleans Threesome was released.

In the cabana next to us, five 20-something “tech geeks” ordered up a bevy of hot bodies to come keep them company. We’re talking literally here. We overheard them ask the host where they could meet some single women, and soon enough said host escorted in the lovely bikini-clad ladies who liked to order premium liquor by the bottle.

With the first out-the-door sales doing well, I was asked to think about sequels for the series, and to turn in proposals. Soon after, we strolled over to Bellagio, and wondered at the artistic ensemble of rainbow-colored butterflies. I started to think about what it would be like to visit Vegas for the very first time, especially if one was sheltered, and say … lived in one city for their entire lives and never left.

The stereotype when it comes to vampires is how worldly they are … most often, they’ve lived for so long, and possess an unlimited income, that they can travel around the world. Or, they can use supernatural powers to pop to one place to the next. What happens, though, when said vamp is a homebody?

Hence began the inkling for The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: A Threesome Wedding Adventure.

Eventually, the book morphed into a hybrid, based upon that same concept. After living in New Orleans for his entire undead life, Lawrence decides to go wild. If Vegas offered up everything that the threesome needed – primarily same-sex marriage – then they may have spent more time in Sin City. Wouldn’t that be the perfect place for a vampire?

Until next time,
Louisa Bacio

Planning a wedding can be stressful and crazy-making. Planning three weddings at the same time? That’s insanity. While The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf embark on a nuptial excursion, Silver & Nick hold down the home fortress in New Orleans.

And as if everyone doesn’t have enough to deal with, the Voodoo King comes calling with a magic elixir that diminishes sexual inhibitions and an eerie quiet spreads across the French Quarter. Life as they know it may never be the same.

The threesome is forced to put off honeymoon bliss in order to banish the demons of their past, and embrace the uncertainty of the future.

  4. Carin and Phoenix -- Amazing what money can buy! These also looked more like college students out to have a good time, rather than "paid" escorts. And, one complimented me on my bathing suit! ;-) Thanks for stopping by.
