Meet the Reviewers

Meet the reviewers of Ramblings From This Chick

Dani - I am a self professed book junkie and I always have my nose stuck in a book. When I'm not reading (which is very rarely) I'm usually watching television or listening to music and just enjoying life. I created RFTC as a fun way to share my love of books with others. I can chat books for hours and still keep going. I <3 books!

Casey - I'm a 27 year old who has loved reading for as long as I can remember! My favorite genre is romance, but I will read just about anything! I live in Lees Summit, MO (Kansas City) with my husband and our 2 furbabies. We have a black lab named Ace and an orange cat named Crush. When I'm not reading, I enjoy cooking, paper-crafting, jewelry making and pretty much anything DIY!

Diana - I love reading! I read different genres but I'm always reading a romance novel. Nothing makes me happier than discovering a new author or getting lost in a story. I have a huge reading list and keeping adding to it, at this point it will take me two lifetimes to get through all my books but I love it! My bookshelves and virtual bookshelves are filled with great stories that I have re-read or am waiting to read. Every story is an adventure!

Hannah - A Texas native and stay at home Mom who would rather read than clean so she spends her days reading, and taking care of her two kids, but her husband has been known to distract her with video games and movies. She reads so many books she has a hard time keeping track of them so started up her own blog, Hannah’s Words, to help keep track of what she’s read and her thoughts on them as well as helping other find good books. Hannah’s favorite reads are Paranormal, Suspense and Historical; some of her favorite authors are Julia London, Rebecca Zanetti and Catherine Coulter.

Lorraine Joy - I’m as young as I can pass for and as old as necessary to be in charge. If Tim Horton’s were a charity, I would be a philanthropist. Meanwhile, I’m an author of my diary and a peddler of my questionable inner thought life. I am consistently inconsistent and consider daily showering to be among my most significant achievements. I read and review books about sex and romance because neither is as readily available in daily life as I imagine they should be. I prefer the kind of laughter that leaves you doubled over in pain. Somewhere there are little people who call me Mommy and a big guy who calls me baby and it all works.

Lacy - A 26 year old mom to four little monsters; two boys and two girls. She loves to read, write, sing, dance, and learn. She has acquired an Associate’s in Criminal Justice and is slowly working toward furthering her education in Psychology and English Literature; these are her favorite subjects. Currently, she is also writing her first Paranormal Romance at what many, including herself would consider the pace of turtle. One of her favorite poets is William B. Yeats while his brother Jack B. Yeats is one of her favorite painters. William Shakespeare and Homer are just two of the writers at the core of her love for the written word. According to her, every piece of writing is art, but her favorites are PNR, Western Romance, and Poetry. Her best friend is her younger brother Trace and despite being a social butterfly, she is a homebody. She hopes to achieve her dreams in writing, finish her education, and of course teach her children while they grow into decent, caring individuals.

I like to call myself a Book Drunk Sloth because I'm so obsessed with reading and sloths. I am 27, and I have a husband, two dogs,a cat, and a fish. I work as an engineer to pay for the bills, but if I could I would read all day instead! Other hobbies include tatting, crochet, knitting, coloring, camping, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, listening to music, watching movies, and of course spending time with my family. In my early reading days, I read only fantasy books. I am ashamed to say I was one of those people who looked down on "smutty romance books". Luckily, a friend of mine tricked me by giving me The Duke and I by Julia Quinn. She guilt tripped me into reading it, and in doing so hooked me to historical romances. I've since then found fantasy romances which are my favorite. I'm so glad my friend opened my eyes to the wonderful world of romance.
