ARC Review: In Silence She Screams by Amo Jones

Midnight Mayhem and Elite Kings Club are two of my favorite series and Amo Jones is definitely an auto-buy author for me! I absolutely couldn’t wait for In Silence She Screams as this features characters from both of these amazing series. While I’ve loved everything I’ve read from Amo, this book was on a whole other level!

Not only could I not put this book down, but this one had me experiencing all the emotions! Kyrin, Eli, and Lilith were everything! I felt for each of them, and honestly they fit so well together, it was clear that these three were meant for one another. Their story is raw and gritty and full of heartbreak and tough times. I can’t even begin to put into words what all they made me feel or all the reasons they worked so well. This book left me absolutely speechless, and in need of the next book in this series immediately.

I never want to leave this world behind. As tough as it can be at times, Amo has created these characters that are so captivating and easy to become invested in that you just don’t want to leave them behind or move on. I know I will go back and read both of these series again, but In Silence She Screams is definitely one to check out and if you haven’t read either series yet, you are seriously missing out!

ARC Review: Well Played by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

Well Played by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward was such a great read! I enjoyed this one from start to finish. The book centers around Presley and her young son Alex who just inherited half an inn from his great grandfather and a professional football player, Levi. Levi just so happens to have inherited the other half of the inn and is Presley’s Ex’s older brother. Things don’t get off to the greatest start between them, and soon go from bad to worse when they can’t agree on whether to restore the inn or sell it. They come up with a bet on whether or not Presley could sell out the inn before Levi leaves for camp. But when things start to heat up between them, they realize they have a lot more to worry about than just the inn.

I really loved the characters here. Presley and Levi had great chemistry, and I really loved the connection between them. Though things started off rough, as they got to know each other and realized that there was more to each of them, it was clear that these two were what the other needed. They were sweet and sexy, and I loved seeing them grow closer. Levi was also so great with Alex, and I just loved the relationship they were all building.

Overall, this book was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward never disappoint. I think readers will really like Well Played. The characters were likable and easy to relate to and had me invested right from the start. You can’t go wrong with these authors individually, and they are so great together. I love their co-authored books and Well Played is definitely one of my favorites of theirs!

ARC Review: The Aristocrat by Penelope Ward

Penelope Ward has been one of my go-to authors for a long time, and at this point I don’t even read blurbs for her new books because whatever she writes I will read. She never disappoints with her solo or co-authored books, and The Aristocrat is no exception! I was hooked from page one, and I couldn’t put this book down. This book in my opinion is best experienced blind, and I’m so glad I didn’t spoil it for myself.

I loved the characters here so much. Leo and Felicity were everything, and I enjoyed seeing how they met and the friendship and relationship that formed between them. They had such a great connection and chemistry, and it was so genuine and believable. Their circumstances provided so many obstacles for them, yet they knew that what they felt was real. I also really loved the supporting characters here as well, and they made this story so much more rich and developed. Sig was fantastic and I honestly would love to get a book for him as well.

I won’t go into the details on this one or how it ends, but this journey is definitely worth the read and I highly recommend it! The Aristocrat is another fantastic read from Penelope and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her next release!

ARC Review: The Spark by Vi Keeland

Another great read from Vi Keeland! The Spark was everything I had hoped for and more. From start to finish I enjoyed this one and didn’t want to put it down. Fans of Vi’s will love Autumn and Donovan, and new readers will as well.

Autumn and Donovan have something between them right away that was undeniable.. Their chemistry is off the charts and their connection even stronger. I loved them both and felt like they were so real and genuine. They were perfect for one another and so right together, in a way they couldn’t be with anyone else. I enjoyed seeing their vulnerabilities and how they were there for one another. Also, Donovan just might be the sweetest hero ever and I couldn’t get enough of him!

I highly recommend this one, just like all of Vi’s books! She never disappoints and this one is not to be missed!

ARC Review: Before Us...There Was Him by Lou Stock

This was the first book I’ve read from Lou Stock and I really enjoyed it! Before Us...There Was Him had me from the first page, and I didn’t want to put this one down! Besides real life interruptions, I didn’t stop reading. Lucas and Riley were impossible not to fall for and I honestly can’t wait to read this one again.

Lucas and Riley’s story had it’s ups and downs, but their connection was what kept me captivated. Their chemistry was off the charts, and it was clear that these two shared something unique and special. Each one had their issues and vulnerabilities, but together it was clear that they clicked right from the start and helped to make each other better.

I am really looking forward to reading more from Lou Stock, and I think readers will love this one like I did. This book was different and fresh, and I highly recommend it. If you are new to Lou Stock like I was, I think this is one worth taking the chance on. If you are already a fan, I’m sure you’ll also love this one. (Feel free to drop some more recommendations for me in the comments on what I should read next from Lou!)

ARC Review: Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas

I don’t typically read a lot of F/F stories, but knowing it was Penelope Douglas and seeing this gorgeous cover I knew I had to give it a shot! I absolutely loved Clay and Liv’s story and I think this book will be one that a lot of readers enjoy.

Liv and Clay on the surface have little in common except the school they attend. I really enjoyed getting to know each of them as individuals and as they circled one another. There was so much tension and attraction between them. I also really loved that this wasn’t your typical bully NA read. This one was unique and original in a way that only Penelope Douglas can deliver. Clay and Liv had their own insecurities and vulnerabilities, and seeing them grow and change over the course of this book kept me turning pages and unable to put this one down.

I also fell in love with Liv’s brothers while reading! I loved how fierce and protective they were. The loyalty their family had to one another is something I couldn’t get enough of and I honestly hope that Penelope will give us their stories someday as well.

If you are on the fence about this one, I highly recommend giving it a shot. It was good, fresh and original. While I know F/F isn’t everyone’s jam (typically not mine either!), the story here is worth the read and I think readers will love it like I did.

ARC Review: Mr. Garcia by TL Swan

I have become a huge fan of TL Swan’s this year! After binge reading her entire backlist, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Seb’s story. Mr. Garcia definitely didn’t disappoint and I honestly think Seb is right up there with Cameron & Nathan for my favorite heroes of hers now! (although don’t ask me to pick, because they are all honestly amazing!)

Seb and April’s story grabbed my attention right away and I couldn’t put their book down. I loved Seb and April’s connection and attraction, and the chemistry between them was beyond smoking! These two were so perfect for one another, but their journey was anything but easy. These two each had their own issues and insecurities, and I really felt for both of them. Seeing their vulnerabilities and struggles made them relatable, and it was easy to see how they each reacted the way they did at times even while frustrating each other.

I honestly cannot recommend TL Swan’s books enough, and Mr. Garcia is at the top of that list! While this book is connected to Mr. Masters and Mr. Spencer, (both of which were fantastic!) this is easily read as a standalone. I highly recommend checking out Tee’s books if you haven’t read anything by her yet, trust me you won’t be disappointed! If you are already a fan, Mr. Garcia is everything you know and love from her while on a whole new level! I can’t wait for more from her and will be rereading this one and all her other’s while I wait for her next release, The Casanova!

ARC Review: Not Pretending Anymore by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

I’ve been in a book funk lately and Not Pretending Anymore by two of my favorite authors Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland was exactly the book I needed to pull me out! This book was excellent from start to finish and I couldn’t put it down! These two never disappoint, but honestly Declan and Molly’s story could very well be my favorite from them ever!

Declan and Molly meet when Molly is looking for a roommate. She reluctantly agrees to let him take the room she is trying to rent out, though originally she wanted a woman roommate. These two quickly become friends and agree to help each other with their crushes by pretending to be in a relationship. Of course things soon change when they both start questioning where the line is between pretend and real as their feelings for one another begin to grow.

Declan was fantastic! I loved him so much. His sense of humor and his caring personality mixed with his vulnerability and sexiness made him impossible to resist. He was so charming and I couldn’t help but fall right along with Molly. Molly was sweet and funny and her personality fit so perfectly with Declan’s. These two had a strong bond right from the beginning that just continued to grow with each page. They also had crazy chemistry that jumped right off the page and you could tell just how hot they would be if they gave in to things for real.

Overall, this one was everything I was hoping for and more and I can’t recommend it enough. Vi and Penelope knocked this one out of the park and I can’t wait to reread it for more Declan and Molly as I am not ready to leave them behind. Can’t wait for more from Vi and Penelope as always!

ARC Review: Fighter's Best Friend by A. Rivers

This was my first book by A. Rivers, but it won’t be my last! I really enjoyed it and was drawn in from the very first page. While this is the second book in the series, you aren’t missing anything  by not having read the first book. I will say that even though I was able to read and enjoy this one as a standalone, I am anxious to read the first book in the series though.

Gabe and Sydney were great. I could see how close they were and the special bond they shared, yet also the struggles that each of them faced. They were vulnerable and genuine, the kind of characters that make you believe their story is real and keep you from being able to put their book down.

Overall, great story and characters. Tons of chemistry and connection, everything I look for in a good romance. I definitely recommend Fighter’s Best Friend and can’t wait for more from A. Rivers!

ARC Review: Wild Wind by Kristen Ashley

Out of all the books and series I have ever read, the Chaos MC series by Kristen Ashley has to be in my top 5! I adore these protective alpha men and their strong and unique females! I have been waiting to get Jagger’s story since I got more of him with Dutch’s book. It did not disappoint, and he is definitely up there on my favorite brothers list! Wild Wind is a standalone novella within the Chaos world, but for full enjoyment and some amazing books I recommend reading the entire series!

J and A had both been through so much and I really felt for both of them. Though the circumstances of their meeting were terrible (at a cemetery while he was visiting his dad’s grave and she was attending her mom’s funeral), their connection was clear and felt genuine. Their interactions over the years had me sucked into their story right away, and I loved seeing where they would pop up and run into one another. The chemistry between them was super hot and I couldn’t get enough of them. These two were made for one another, that was obvious right from the start. Jagger had so much to him, and my heart broke for all that he had been holding in and hadn’t dealt with. A pulled was exactly what he needed to tackle his issues and I loved her for standing by his side through it all.

This one was great and I honestly could have had a full length novel of these two, though this story was completely satisfying! I just loved them both so much that I would have loved even more. J and A were unique and perfect in their own ways, and I loved that they were so apologetically themselves. I can’t wait to go back and read Chaos from start to finish and experience the club and brothers all over again, especially Jagger! Highly recommend this one and all the Chaos books. You can never go wrong with a Kristen Ashley book!
