ARC Review: The Jezebel by Dylan Allen

I have loved the Rivers Wilde series so far, and that continued here with The Jezebel. Each book is a standalone story, but I love the way they connect and you get to see different sides if you read them all. Though it isn’t necessary to enjoy The Jezebel, I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already.

I loved Regan and Stone. Each was both strong and unique, yet had vulnerabilities and fears that made them relatable. I felt for both of them, and yet because of who they each were I knew that they’d find a way through it all. Their chemistry and connection were there from the start, but as is often the way, life had other plans for them. Their journey wasn’t easy, but everything that happened led to who they became and it was impossible to imagine them being any different than they were. I couldn’t get enough of them and honestly felt like they were made for one another.

The main thing that kept this one from being a five star for me was something personal, and that is that while necessary to tell this story there were several jumps in time. I personally struggle with that in books, with it oftentimes distracting me from the story and becoming cumbersome to try and follow. While I got this story spanned a large stretch of time, I found myself being drawn out of the story at times because of the jumps and that kept me from being as captivated as I might have been. I still loved the story and the characters though, and it was great to see familiar faces again. I highly recommend this book and the entire series and I cannot wait for more from Dylan Allen in the future.

ARC Review: Between Now and Always by Dylan Allen

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the final book of Dylan Allen’s Forever Trilogy, Between Now and Always! This book felt as necessary to me as breathing after reading the first two books in the series! These aren’t standalones and must be read in order, but trust me when I tell you that these three books are absolutely amazing, and you won’t regret reading a single word here!

Beth and Carter have been through so much, yet their connection is unbreakable and undeniable. While they are clearly connected in a way that is rare and special, life has been unkind to both of them and circumstances have them wondering if things will ever go their way. I felt so much for each of them over the course of this series, and that was especially true here. I can honestly say that these two felt like more than just characters in a book to me, they were easy to root for and I really felt like I was right there with them through every triumph and every heartbreak. I loved them both and their journey is one I won’t forget anytime soon.

I won’t say how things turn out or what happens here, but I honestly felt like Dylan Allen did a fantastic job with this book and how everything played out. I couldn’t get enough, and didn’t want to put their story down. It was hard waiting for more after each of the first two books, but so worth it. Carter and Beth are fantastic and multi-layered characters that are so genuine and real, they are easy to relate to and fall in love with. While I have loved everything I’ve read from Dylan Allen, the Forever Trilogy is hands down my favorite so far. I look forward to seeing what she writes next, and can’t recommend this series enough!

ARC Review: Between Now and Heartbreak by Dylan Allen

Between Now and Heartbreak is the second book in Dylan Allen’s Forever Trilogy, and this book is not a standalone story. If you haven’t already started this series, I highly recommend that you do. But you definitely need to start with Between Now and Forever before starting this book, trust me it’s worth it!

This book was every bit as intense and emotional as the first book was, and honestly I couldn’t get enough. Dylan Allen is a great story teller, and I was hanging on every single word here. Carter and Beth were the same characters I fell for in the first book, but we got to see even more of them here from their pasts to the present. I feel for both of them so much, but especially Carter. His struggles make him who he is, but I just hurt for him and all he continues to go through. While we did get a lot more of both Beth and Carter here, there story is far from over and you can just tell that there is so much more for them yet to go through.

Dylan Allen has captivated me from the very beginning of this series, and honestly I am beyond anxious for book 3. I need more of these two and I am both excited to see what is next, I just know I’m not prepared at all. It takes an amazing writer to have the reader feeling everything and experiencing it right along with the characters and Dylan Allen always does that with everything I have read from her, but especially with Beth and Carter. I recommend these books so much and can't wait for more!

ARC Review: Between Now and Forever by Dylan Allen

Dylan Allen is a great writer and I couldn’t wait for the start of her new series! Between Now and Forever was everything I had been hoping for and more. This one didn’t disappoint at all, I was captivated from start to finish and I need more!!

Beth and Carter were complex and well written, as is always the case with characters from Dylan Allen. They are multi-faceted and you feel like you are living their story right along with them. I felt for them and couldn’t get enough of the chemistry between them. They are everything and I honestly can’t wait for the next installment in this series!

This book was a great introduction to the characters and I am really looking forward to getting to know them more and watching as they grow and things change in the next few books. Dylan Allen is such a talented storyteller and if you haven’t read anything by her before, you are definitely missing out. This book will hook you with the first word and keep you invested in Beth and Carter all the way through. While I don’t always love having to wait for more in a story, I can promise you that it is worth it to take a chance on this book now rather than waiting!
