ARC Review: Royally Endowed by Emma Chase

I have loved this series from Emma Chase since the beginning. Each book is entertaining and she always knows how to deliver such sweet and sexy stories, while also bringing the perfect amount of humor as well. Royally Endowed was everything that I have come to know and love from Emma Chase, and this series is so good! 

Logan has been Ellie's bodyguard since her sister got together with Prince Nicholas of Wessco. She has had a crush on him ever since and though Logan knows it, she was young and he was focused on making something of himself. But when she finishes college and is more determined than ever, Logan finds it harder to stay away from her when she is the only one he wants.

I loved these two. Their world is anything but normal, yet their story to me seemed as though these were just two normal people. I loved that Logan was protective of Ellie and cared about her so much. I really believed that he would do anything for her. Ellie was smart and sweet and I thought that she was great for Logan. They had a great connection and strong chemistry and I really enjoyed their story. I loved that things developed naturally and that they didn't feel rushed or instant like so many stories do these days. It made it all seem so real, and was something I could really believe would happen. 

Overall, this book was really good and was right up there with the first in the series for me. It was a fun and sweet read, and Emma Chase definitely delivers here with Ellie and Logan. This book is a standalone story, but I have enjoyed each one in the series and recommend reading them all if you can. It is so much fun to see how things progress over the course of the series and to get to see familiar faces with each new book. Another great one from Emma Chase and I can't wait for more from her!

ARC Review: Royally Matched by Emma Chase

I am absolutely loving this world that Emma Chase has created! Royally Matched was every bit as good as the previous book in the series, and I find myself wanting to get lost in these books and never wanting to leave! Each book is a standalone story and can be read on it's own, but I highly recommend reading them all as they are fantastic stories! 

Henry never thought that he would become king, but now that he will be he finds himself having to grow up. The Queen agrees to give him some space, hoping that it will help her grandson accept his new role but while she is giving him space a chance meeting with a TV producer finds Henry coming up with a reality TV show in which the most eligible bachelorettes must compete for him. But Henry soon finds himself drawn to Sarah, the girl that is unlike any of the others. 

I really loved Sarah. She was sweet and easy to relate to. Smart and a book worm, I found myself connecting with her unlike what is usually possible for me with heroines. Henry I already loved from the first book, but I found myself growing to love him even more! He is so much fun, charming and loyal. He is impossible not to like, and I really loved him with Sarah here. They had great chemistry and the tension between them was captivating. Their connection was interesting and strong, and I just loved everything about their relationship. 

Overall, I really love this series and I think readers are going to love Royally Matched. If you are looking for a great contemporary series that is sweet and sexy, fun and different, this is definitely a series that you need to be reading! Emma Chase is a fantastic writer that fills her stories with emotion and steam as well as wit and charm, and this series is no exception. I always enjoy her stories, and I cannot recommend these books enough!

Audiobook Review: Overruled by Emma Chase, Narrated by Jason Carpenter and Charlotte Penfield

I usually start with the review of the book/story first but Jason Carpenter and Charlotte Penfield were so fantastic that their narrations were really fun and made the story that much more enjoyable. 

Carpenter really understood Stanton Shaw’s character. From the beginning of the story where he is finding himself as a new father/law-school student/ boyfriend away from the mother of his baby. Carpenter’s southern drawl was perfect and his quips added to the funny dialogue. 

Charlotte also really understood Sofia Santos. Penfield brought out Sofia’s funny, smart and sexy side. 

Usually a story like this would get on my nerves because Stanton really takes a very long time to figure out that although he always assumed Jenny the mother of his daughter-Presley would be his end game. When she received an invitation for her wedding his world starts to spin. Desperate to convince Jenny that they belong together, he asks his friend with benefits/ co-worker, Sofia for help. 

Sofia is very like Stanton. They are both tough and talented attorneys. They are completely compatible. They have a very mutual understanding. They enjoy their physical relationship and both are content with it. Sofia has found that her feelings for Stanton have changed but she remains committed to showing Stanton the she is his friend, even if it means helping Stanton win back Jenny. Stanton’s obsession with winning back Jenny got very old but the other aspects of the story helped keep me engaged in the story. 

My complaints: Stanton and Sofia, to me, seemed to lack chemistry even though they are very intimate all the time. I wanted Sofia to ruffle more feathers. The great benefits of this story: The secondary characters were fantastic. They really enriched the story and added to the development of the main characters. The southernisms were endearing and sweet. Another aspect of this story that I really enjoyed is that Chase didn’t include any unnecessary drama with Jenny and her fiancée nor Sofia and Jenny. They were very mature and authentic characters. This was such an enjoyable listen and the narrators were fantastic!

ARC Review: Royally Screwed by Emma Chase

I have really enjoyed everything that I have read from Emma Chase, and Royally Screwed was no different. While I haven't read her Tangled series, her Legal Briefs series is one that I highly recommend. Royally Screwed is the first book in her newest series, and I think that fans of hers are going to love it! Royal Screwed is a standalone story, but after visiting this world she has created I can hardly wait to return! 

Nicholas is a prince, and since he is the oldest, he knows that one day he will become king. He has always done whatever has been asked of him, but everything changes the day he meets Olivia. Olivia is a commoner, working in her family's coffee shop. When Nicholas shows up, she has no idea who he is and when he offends her, she throws a pie in his face. But when Nicholas shows back up asking for her forgiveness, Olivia finds herself unable to stay away. Though Olivia and Nicholas find themselves looking for a future together, Nicholas will have to decide who he is and what that means for his future. 

Nicholas was charming and I absolutely loved him! He was everything you could want in a book boyfriend and prince. He was caring and took his status seriously, which I adored about him. He was loyal to not only those he cared about, but also to his people! Olivia was fantastic as well! She was loyal to her family as well, and I loved that she was so hard working. She really gave so much of herself to others, and I thought that her sweetness and personality was perfect for Nicholas. These two had off the charts chemistry and I loved their banter! It must be said that Emma Chase absolutely shines when it comes to fun and sexy banter! 

Overall, this book was so good and I didn't want to put it down! It was everything I have come to know and love from Emma Chase, yet set in a delightful and delicious new world! She told an amazing story that left me hungry for more. I loved Nicholas and Olivia, yet I really loved the secondary characters as well. I highly recommend this book, and I think that readers are going to love this book just as much as I did. My favorite Emma Chase book had been Appealed, but Royally Screwed might just have become my new favorite.

ARC Review: Appealed by Emma Chase

I was so excited to read Appealed by Emma Chase! After seeing Brent previously in this series I just loved him and couldn't wait to get to know him better! Appealed is a standalone, though it is the third book in the Legal Briefs series. Each of the stories are interconnected and a few things might be spoiled, but they are very easily read as standalones. I have to say that Appealed is my favorite of the series though! Loved it and couldn't put it down. 

Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph have a history. At one point they were best friends, until everything changed. Now they haven't seen each other in 14 years, and they are no longer even close to friends. Brent doesn't like to lose in court and out, and he has set his sights on Kennedy. But Kennedy doesn't lose either and has no intention or allowing him anywhere close to her. Out for revenge, things quickly go from bad to worse when he finds out that Kennedy is the prosecutor on one of his cases. But the passion between them is undeniable, and soon they both find themselves with feelings that never went away. 

I really loved Brent! He was so much fun and I loved his attitude. He had lost his leg as a child, and yet it never slowed him down. He was determined to live life to the fullest and didn't let it get in his way. He was sexy and confident, and one of those guys with so much charm you can't help but fall for him. Even when he did things that would drive me nuts, I couldn't help but love him. Kennedy was smart and driven and had also been through a lot. She had been bullied when she was younger and had some bad things happen that had her feeling insecure at times and unable to trust anyone. I really felt for her, even if there were times that she came off as bitchy. It was clear that she was just trying to protect herself, and I really liked her with Brent. Once she started to let him in a little and see where things could go, it was very easy to like her and I could see how perfect they were for one another. The heat between these two was very strong, and I loved their chemistry. 

Overall, this book was so good and I had such a good time reading it! I loved the witty banter between Brent and Kennedy, and seeing them go toe-to-toe in the courtroom was the best sort of foreplay. They had such a spark between them that I just knew things would be explosive once they finally gave in and went for it. Appealed had everything I look for in a great story. It is very rare to find such a well balanced story, but Emma Chase has done it here! Appealed is funny and sexy, charming and emotional, and I think that no matter what genre you read is one that readers will enjoy. Emma Chase is a great writer and you can't go wrong with anything she has written. I can't wait to read more from her in the future and see what she comes up with next.

ARC Review: Sustained by Emma Chase

Sustained is the second book in The Legal Briefs series by Emma Chase, with each book being a standalone novel about interconnected characters. If you are new to the series, don't worry about jumping in here though as I hadn't read the first book and had no problems with Sustained. This book was sexy and sweet, and I really liked the characters. I will definitely be reading more in the series and can't wait to go back and read Overruled. 

Jake Becker is used to keeping his life as simple and drama free as possible. He is great at his job and prides himself on his blunt but honest approach to life. He likes his hookups to be one night only, and strictly sex with no strings. But everything changes for him when he meets Chelsea McQuaid and her six orphaned nieces and nephews. What starts out as Jake helping Chelsea with some legal problems quickly turns into more, and suddenly Jake finds himself knee-deep in things he never planned on. But between the One Direction concerts, emergency room visits, and piano lessons, Jake finds the McQuaids getting under his skin. But can he give up the life he had for the one he never expected he would want? 

I really loved Jake! He was so sexy and such a great guy. I loved his no-nonsense approach to everything he did, and I loved how he threw himself into helping Chelsea and the kids with no hesitation. He saw something in all of them and it was just this instant connection with all of them. Seeing him help each kid and treat them as though they were people and not children made me love him so much more. He was great with them without trying to hard or going to extremes. He just had to be himself and they all loved him for it. I didn't feel as connected to Chelsea here as I did Jake, and I think part of that was that this book is told from Jake's POV. It was harder to get to know her and what made her tick. I felt like we didn't really did deep when it came to her character, other than the brief conversations about what her life and interests had been before her brother died and the kids became her responsibility. I wish that we had seen a bit more of just her with Jake, and been given more development between them. When they were together it was great, but unfortunately the kids sort of took over here and stole the show leaving little time for just Jake and Chelsea. I did love the moments that it was just them though, and they definitely had a ton of chemistry. 

I am not the biggest fan of kids in romance novels, simply because they do tend to steal the show. As adorable as they are, I am always left feeling as though the connection between the hero and heroine just tends to never fully develop for me and if it does that the reader doesn't get to really see it. That was the case for me here, with the six children. I loved them and found them beyond entertaining. Their personalities were so different, and I felt as though Emma Chase did a great job making them each so unique and different. But I also felt like with the six of them and the constant shenanigans that there was just too much going on. It was just too big a part of the story for me to really feel as though Chelsea and Jake had a relationship that was separate from the kids. It was a ready made family, and I would have liked to have seen them bond more as a pair beyond just as a whole. I did love them all together though and that isn't to say that I didn't like the way things ended up. I will definitely be looking for more from Emma Chase in the future though, and I am really excited to read the first book as well as the next book featuring Brent. I can't wait to get to know him better after seeing him here. If you are a fan of Emma Chase, this is definitely one you won't want to miss. Funny, sexy, and sweet, this book has everything you could want in a great romance story.

Audiobook Review: Sustained by Emma Chase, Narrated by Sebastian York

So.Damn.Good. I just want to sit and bask in the awesomeness that was Sustained. It was yet another book from Emma Chase that I loved and once again is solidifying why she is one of my favorite authors. From beginning to end I was hooked and I just couldn't get enough.

I'll be honest I wasn't 100% sure how I was going to like this book. I'm not the biggest fan of books with kids. 90% percent of the time I feel like they are used as props or comic relief and don't really bring much to the story and tend to annoy me. Yeah, that wasn't the case with with book at all. I honestly found myself craving scenes with the kids. I laughed at their antics and hurt when they hurt. I feel like Emma Chase brought each and every kid (there were 6) to life and gave them all personalities and made me fall in love with them all. They were adorable and I loved how they were with Jake. So damn cute.

Oh Jake. Jake, Jake, Jake...sexy as hell Jake. I liked him. A LOT! He was sexy, fierce, passionate and so caring when it came to Chelsea and the kids. I loved his take charge ways and honestly I really loved him with the kids. Some of my favorite parts of this story revolved around him and the kids. As for him and Chelsea I thought that they had great chemistry together. They were hot and sexy and I was rooting for them from the beginning. I loved that they didn't immediately rush into things. They both got to know each other before things really took between them. And let me tell you, they were HOT together.

I will say that I do feel like Chelsea was a bit too much of a goody goody. She just came across as this perfect character and it just didn't ring all the way true to me. Maybe it's because the book is told in the POV of Jake only and he's only seeing the good but I would have liked her to be a bit more raw. Don't get me wrong, I liked Chelsea a lot.

Seriously though, these two together were so great. They were hot and sexy but also so much more. I loved that they became a team. They helped each other out and backed one another up. Theirs wasn't a rushed HEA. Their relationship was a slow simmer that built up throughout the book. It was intense at times and oh so sweet at others.

Let me just say that Sebastian York has one hell of a sexy voice. He can read me stereo instructions and I'll be hooked. I feel like his voice was just made to narrate Emma Chase books because he does her characters justice. He's able to convey so much and he makes me believe in the characters and their actions 100%. I felt like he brought Jake to life and I couldn't get enough.

Sustained really was a fantastic book and I just can't wait to read more from Emma Chase. I am loving this series and the characters that encompass it. I'm itching to get my hands on the next book something fierce. Seriously, I can't recommend this book enough.

ARC Review: Overruled by Emma Chase

I admit that I've been looking forward to this book ever since it was announce. 1. It's from Emma Chase and I freaking love her books. 2. It's about lawyers and I've just been loving stories featuring lawyers lately. So when this showed up on my doorstep I immediately got to reading. I really liked Overruled and I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the series. I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.

Stanton Shaw is no Drew Evans but I still really liked him. He's a cocky, sexy southern boy and who can resist those? I admit there where times he would do or say something that kind of aggravated me but I get it. I will say that I really liked that he was a stand up guy and I LOVED that he was such a great father.

As for Sofia I really, really liked her. Normally I'm not always the biggest fans of heroines but I really loved her. I loved that she doesn't take anyone's shit and she's fierce and independent. Not only that, but she's kind and funny.

Let me just say that Stanton and Sofia are hot together. Some of their scenes had me blushing and I just couldn't get enough. I was rooting for these two and I loved that the author gave us an epilogue so we were able to see how things progress in the future.

All in all, Overruled was fantastic and I can't wait to get my hands on the other books in the series. Overruled was sexy, funny, sweet and damn hot and I couldn't put it down. I definitely recommend this one!

Review: Tied by Emma Chase

*sigh* What a perfect ending to an all around fantastic series. From the first page to the last I was hooked and I couldn't seem to put this book down. I loved it. I can't tell you how much I've come to like these characters, especially Drew. He makes me laugh and that is no easy feat when it comes to books. But with this series I just can't help but have a smile on my face and with Tied there was no exception. I laughed quite a bit and I'll even admit that I teared up a few times. I'm sad that the series is over but I am completely satisfied with how things ended.

I will say throughout most of the book my anxiety level was high. I was worried something crazy would happen and with the way I've come to care about these characters I wasn't sure if I could handle anything crazy. I can safely say that you do not need to worry. Yes, crazyness does ensue but nothing that you won't be able to recover from. Honestly, I laughed my way through this one.

Fans of the series won't want to miss this one. It's the perfect ending not only for Drew and Kate but everyone else we've all come to love. I think Emma Chase did a fantastic job of wrapping everything up. Not only that, but we get to see Drew and Kate finally get married and it was everything I could have wanted and more. Seriously, don't let this book pass you by. Not only is this a must read book but a must read series. One of my favorites and I definitely plan on revisiting these books over and over again. I just can't say how much I loved this series.

ARC Review: Tangled by Emma Chase

Stop what you are doing and get this book right now! Seriously, if you haven't read Tangled you are missing out. This book by far blew my expectations out of the water and I just couldn't get enough. From the first page to the last I just couldn't stop turning the pages. Tangled put a smile on my face and I just adored it.

Told only in the pov of the hero Drew, I found Tangled to be a breath of fresh air. I've had this on my Kindle for quite awhile and have been hesitant to read it because I thought it was going to be another rich alpha hero meets poor naive heroine. Yeah, that is definitely NOT this book. The characters in Tangled were realistic and seemed like people I could actually know.

I loved the chemistry between Drew and Kate. Their relationship starts off rocky with them both trying to one up and best the other but underneath all that animosity you could see and feel the sexual tension between the two. And once they finally gave into it things were explosive!

I simply adored this book and I can't wait to read more from Emma Chase. This is definitely going on my keeper shelf and I will definitely be re-reading this one in the future. I highly recommend you go out and get this book, you won't be sorry.
