ARC Review: Sexy by J.A. Huss

I am a huge fan of JA Huss! I love her edgy characters and writing style, and I know that whatever I read from her will be something new and different. She always writes something completely original and fresh. Sexy is a standalone contemporary romance, which is something a bit different from her typical story. It was really great though, and just proved that she can write anything!

Fletcher Novak is used to women wanting him and he knows exactly what both men and women alike are looking for. He works as a stripper, but he also coaches women in how to get the man of their dreams. So even though Tiffy Preston dislikes Fletcher instantly, she knows that he can definitely get her the man she hasn't been able to get to notice her before. But is she ready to let him tell her exactly what to do, and what happens when she can't help but start to see what all the other women see in him?

Fletcher was more than just a sexy body and charming personality. He was deeper than what most gave him credit for. I loved him right from the start, and I enjoyed his honest and blunt delivery with others. He always told them how it was and he didn't say anything that he didn't mean. There were no false promises or lies, yet he had a way of flattering women. Tiffy was hard for me to connect to though, and if I am honest I really didn't like her for most of this book. She irritated me, and I hated how she treated Fletcher. She made assumptions and judgments, and she never really made any effort to get to know who he was even when she was proved wrong. Fletcher was constantly telling her that she didn't know him and she would admit that was true, but she wouldn't ever really ask him anything about himself either. I wanted her to stop judging him and assuming that she knew exactly what was going on when it was clear that she didn't. These two had a ton of chemistry though, and the sparks were clear from the beginning. They were sexy together and generated a ton of steam.

Overall, this was a good story and Fletcher is definitely worth the read alone. He is so much more than meets the eye, and I really enjoyed getting to see what was beneath his gorgeous exterior. JA Huss is a great writer, and she never disappoints. Fans of hers will enjoy this book and I think those who might have been hesitant to try her darker stories will really like Sexy. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to see what Huss writes next!

ARC Review: Meet Me in the Dark by JA Huss

Wow! This book was another fantastic read from JA Huss. Meet Me in the Dark was so much more than what we are given in the blurb, and I honestly cannot even begin to tell you everything about this story because you have to just experience this one. What I will say is that if you are a fan of romantic suspense and like your stories dark, this is one that you have to check out! I was drawn into this story right away, and I honestly couldn't put it down.

Sydney has spent the last eight years doing what she had to do to survive. When the man that was sent to rescue her from a cult-like group eight years ago left her behind, she was forced to stay with the man she was trying to escape from. Merc left telling her that he would be back for her someday, but he has never returned. Merc knows that he needs to take care of some things, and one of those is Sydney. He knows exactly what he needs to do and how to handle her. But when the opportunity he has been waiting for finally arrives, he quickly realizes that Sydney isn't what she appears to be. As Sydney and Merc spend more time together, they both begin to realize that there is so much that neither of them knew before. What will happen when the truth about everything is finally revealed?

Merc was a complete badass. He was sexy and strong, and always in control. He is one of those guys that you just love to hate and yet find yourself loving him regardless. My opinion of him changed over the course of the book, as I wasn't sure at first if I would like him at all. But as the book progressed, we really got to see what made him who he was and that made me understand him so much better. The more I understood why he did the things he did, the more I began to fall for him. Sydney was one of those characters for me that I honestly didn't know what to think for much of this story. She comes off a bit weak and people definitely underestimate her, Merc included. But she is actually very strong, and her determination was what made me like her so much. She was so much more than you see right away, and the more I learned about her the more fascinated I was with her character.

Overall, this was another winner from JA Huss. She is absolutely a go-to author for me when I want something unique and fresh. I love that she doesn't write cookie cutter characters or stories, and I know that with each book I am going to get something completely unexpected. I never know what will happen next, and yet I always really enjoy the journey. JA Huss has a way of drawing the reader in and making you experience things that you would never expect. Just when I think that I have everything figured out, she changes the game completely and I absolutely love that. Huss is a fantastic writer, and I am definitely looking forward to reading more from her. Her stories are not for everyone, and I recommend that you take her warnings seriously. But if you like dark suspense, Meet Me in the Dark is a must read! I have loved everything I have read by her so far, and I think she is one of those authors that is worth it every time.

ARC Review: Three, Two, One (321) by J.A. Huss

After reading her Social Media Series, I couldn't wait to read more from JA Huss. I absolutely loved Vaughn and thought that his story was so original. I also loved that while the story and ending were very satisfying, it also was nothing like I expected. So I knew that I had to read Three, Two, One as soon as I heard about it. This book is truly hard to classify as any one genre, but I would say that it is an erotic suspense that has dark elements and a non-traditional ending. While it isn't your typical HEA and it is a menage, I was happy with the ending. This book is one that I really can't explain much about without giving away everything, so I will just tell you that it is absolutely worth the read and to give it a shot.

JD and Ark are best friends. They work and live together, and are rich from selling sex. One morning they come across a girl huddled under the awning of a bookstore. She is barefoot and is crying, and appears cold and lost. JD and Ark are both immediately drawn to her. All three of them have secrets, and yet they all fit together. But as they get to know each other, they find themselves bonding in a way that feels right. But can the three of them truly be together with secrets between them, or will their trinity be destined for heartbreak?

Each of these characters was completely original. They were flawed and imperfect, and yet that is what made them so real and appealing. They each had something to offer, and it is what made them incomplete without the other two. JD was charismatic and charming, and you couldn't help but like him. He had a painful past that he was never able to get over, and yet he is also the one that was always smiling and taking care of Blue. He was just so fun, and yet you knew there was so much more to him that he didn't show many people. Ark was darker. He preferred to remain behind the scenes and more often then not he sort of sat back and observed rather than participated. Yet he also felt so deeply. He was always thinking and brooding, and it was clear that he was smart. He wanted more, and yet he held himself back so much and kept so much from everyone. Blue was lost and yet at the same time she was exactly where she was meant to be. She had been through so much that no one knew, and yet she was able to open herself up to JD and Ark and give them her trust. She needed both of them, just as they both needed her. These characters were so complex and different from one another, yet they fit together perfectly. The chemistry between them was off the charts, and these three were beyond hot together!

To say this book is sexy is an understatement. JA Huss knows how to write steam, but she also knows how to develop so much emotion and feeling between the characters that it goes beyond simple heat and chemistry. I honestly cannot say how amazing this book is and go into detail without giving anything away, but this book was more than I could have ever expected. It is unlike anything I have ever read before, and is so much more than a menage. For those worried about the non-traditional ending, I would really recommend still giving this book a chance. JA Huss manages to deliver on every single emotion. While there were parts of this story that broke my heart and were hard to get through, I also found myself very satisfied with how things ended. They weren't neatly wrapped up and tied with a bow, but they felt very real and true to the story. JA Huss is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, and I honestly cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. This book blew me away, and I know that it will stick with me.

Review: Home by J.A. Huss

Home is the final installment in the Social Media series by J.A. Huss, and while I have been waiting for it's release I have also been dreading the end. I have absolutely loved Grace and Vaughn's story, and I am not sure that I will ever be ready for their end. That being said, I really loved this final part to their story and I thought that J.A. Huss did a fantastic job of giving Grace and Vaughn the perfect ending for their characters.

Home picks up where we left off in Profile, with Grace back at home and out of danger. But while Grace might be back physically, she isn't the same girl that Vaughn first met. As Grace and Vaughn struggle with everything that has happened and the effects that Grace's past has had on her, Vaughn's past begins to resurface as well. While Vaughn tries to deal with the newest threat to his and Grace's relationship, they both begin to wonder if they can make it through together.

I have loved Vaughn and Grace from the very beginning. Vaughn has always been a cocky alpha, determined to get what he wants. But then Grace came along and for the first time he had to work for it a bit. Grace was feisty and fun and so different from what Vaughn was used to. I loved seeing these characters grow and change over the course of this series and it was so fun to watch them challenge each other. Grace and Vaughn were so perfect for one another from the very beginning, but I thought that they really seemed to just get stronger with each installment. They were supportive of one another and I loved seeing them fall in love and figure out how to work together as a couple. These two were far from perfect and they both made mistakes along the way, but their imperfections are what made these two work so well together. They had off the charts chemistry, but they also had such a strong emotional connection and completed each other in ways that no one else could.

Overall, I really loved this series. Each installment was as good if not better than the previous one, and I thought that J.A. Huss did such a wonderful job of letting the reader see all the different sides to these characters. She continued to impress me with each new installment, and I loved the way she had everything tie together and make sense in the end. This really was a great ending to the series, and although I am sad it is over I really think that she could not have written a better ending for these two. I know that Vaughn and Grace will always be a favorite book couple of mine, and I will reread their story over and over in the future. Grace and Vaughn were so real and I really thought that J.A. Huss gave the reader something so unique and different with this series. I can't wait to see what J.A. Huss comes up with next, and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Review: Profile by J.A. Huss

Profile is the fifth installment in the Social Media series by JA Huss, and somehow she manages to top herself every time! This series is fantastic and I can't recommend it enough. Make sure you start at the beginning as these are not standalones. I love these characters and I am both excited for more, and sad as the ending nears.

After the shocking ending of Status, Profile picks up with Grace's past resurfacing. While Grace is forced to confront her past, she does so differently than the first time. She is a fighter and she will do whatever it takes to survive. Vaughn will stop at nothing to ensure that Grace is safe and prove his love to her. But will they be able to survive her past as well as the truths that are yet to be revealed?

This book had such a different feel than all the rest of the series so far, but I really loved it! There is so much action and intensity this time around, and shockingly there is very little sex. But I actually loved that this one wasn't filled with the steamy stuff, because we really got to see the connection that has formed between Grace and Vaughn. They are so much more than just the sex that they started off as, and their feelings for one another are deep. This part was really all about Grace, and we got to see how she has grown and evolved after everything she has been through. She was so strong and was determined to fight, and I loved her for it. Vaughn was amazing as well, and we really got to see his evolution as well. Gone is the cocky jerk who took what he wanted with little though of anyone else, and in his place is the devoted and committed guy who would do anything for his girl. His love for Grace really showed in this part, and I couldn't have loved him more for it.

This installment really blew my mind, and I think that JA Huss has done a brilliant job of writing Grace and Vaughn's journey. This series is ever changing, and I love every bit of it. It is so different than what it started like with Follow, but yet that is what I love the most. JA Huss is a talented story teller, and I am really impressed with her writing. I have become a huge fan of hers, and I love that she writes her story how she sees it. There are some that won't appreciate the turn that this story has taken, but to me this one just keeps getting better. This series keeps you guessing and I can't stop turning the pages and waiting for the next installment. This serial is a must read, and I know that it definitely won't be the last thing I read from JA Huss. I can't wait to get more of Vaughn and Grace in Home.

Review: Status by J.A. Huss

I have been anxiously awaiting each installment in the Social Media series by JA Huss, so I couldn't wait for Status to release. This is part four in the series, and these need to be read in order. I really don't know how she does it, but JA Huss manages to top herself with each new installment. This series just keeps getting better and better, and I love Vaughn and Grace so much!

Vaughn and Grace are still dealing with everything that happened at the end of Block. Vaughn isn't giving up on a future with Grace and continues to pursue her. Grace and Vaughn finally start to make some progress and things between them seem to be better than ever. But then some truths are revealed that send them into turmoil once again.

This installment really showed Vaughn and Grace acknowledging not only their feelings, but also their fears. Things between them have become so real, and they are both in unfamiliar territory. I loved seeing them settle into their relationship a bit more though, and it was really great to see them having fun and enjoying one another. Their time spent together at Vaughn's place was so relaxed and easy, and it was such a different side of them. I have loved the heat and chemistry between them from the start, but it was really great to see another side to them. I liked that we were able to see them have a few normal moments, and it really showed how far they have come.

This part was shocking and I am still reeling after finishing this one. I am extremely anxious for more of these two, but I also find myself dreading the ending. I am not ready for this series to be over and I don't want to let go of these characters. That being said, I can't wait to find out what happens for them! I have a sort of love hate relationship with serials, but luckily JA Huss doesn't make us wait long for each installment. This series is an absolute must read, and I highly recommend that you check this one out if you haven't already! I can't wait to read more from JA Huss!

Review: Block by J.A. Huss

Block is the third installment in the Social Media series by JA Huss. I am absolutely loving this series. With each installment I read, JA Huss continues to impress me. These characters are fantastic, and I am enjoying every bit of their journey. If you aren't reading this series you are definitely missing out. Make sure you start at the beginning though because these are not standalone and you don't want to miss a single thing.

In Block, Grace is fighting Vaughn every step of the way. She thought that things were on the right track even though she knew that her feelings for him were likely deeper than his for her. But after an amazing night together, Vaughn stops contacting her. Grace throws herself into her work and starts to bond with her client Kristi. Just when Grace thinks that Vaughn is gone for good, he shows back up and refuses to take no for an answer. But will Grace let him back in again after everything that has happened between them?

We got to see more of Grace's back-story in this book, and I was so excited to see some of what made her the way she was. There is still so much of her that is a mystery, but I loved getting some of her history. I felt like Grace and Vaughn really sort of switched places in this book for the first time in this series. It has always been Grace that wanted more and Vaughn that was fighting what was developing between them. But for the first time we really get to see Vaughn start to acknowledge that he feels more for her than he ever expected to, and he has to really chase her. Vaughn and Grace are so intense and passionate, and I love how strongly they feel things. I can't wait to see more of these two and the amazing chemistry between them.

This was a great installment, and I think that this series just keeps getting better. Grace and Vaughn have so much ahead of them still, and I am looking forward to seeing what JA Huss has in store for them. I highly recommend this series, and I think that if you are looking for a steamy romance you really can't go wrong with this series. I love how different these characters are and I think that they are unlike any others I have ever read before. Grace and Vaughn have definitely become some of my all time favorites, and I am anxiously awaiting the next in this series.

Review: Like by J.A. Huss

Like by JA Huss continues Vaughn and Grace's story from where things left off in Follow. I am absolutely loving this Social Media series, and I couldn't wait to get more of Vaughn and Grace. JA Huss definitely did not disappoint with Like, and it made me love these characters even more than I already did. Things continued to heat up between these two, and they are so freaking hot together.

After abruptly leaving St. Thomas, Grace is home in Denver and is trying to return to normal life. She has just started her new job and is trying to figure cope with life after Vaughn. The real life Vaughn was nothing like her fantasy Vaughn and as much as she would like to move forward with her life she is finding it hard to do. Especially because Vaughn isn't giving up easily. Vaughn has made it a point to show her that he wants her in his life, and isn't above harassing her on Twitter to get her to give them a chance. But Grace struggles with everything that Vaughn is asking for and wonders if she can give him so much of herself.

I love these two. There is still so much we don't know about either of them, and I love getting a little bit more each time we see these two. They are both struggling with their feelings and attraction to one another and what it means for them. But at the same time they have found something in each other that they never had with anyone else before, and I find it really interesting the different ways each of them deal with it. Vaughn and Grace are so hot, and I really love seeing all their sexy tweets and texts. These two never fail to keep me flipping the pages to see what dirty things they will come up with next. I love how well Vaughn already understands Grace, and it shows with each one of his actions. He wants to care for her, but he also knows that there are certain ways to go about getting through to her. Grace wants more from Vaughn, but she also sees that he doesn't do relationships and that the way he does things is the only way he knows how to. But they are both letting each other in more, and I found it really interesting to see more of what they were thinking and feeling in this installment.

Honestly, I am loving this Social Media series by JA Huss. I devour each installment and then can't wait for more. This is definitely a hot series that is so different and unique from anything I have read before. I love their dirty tweets, and the amount of chemistry and steam between these two is off the charts. But I also love how JA Huss has done such a great job of really showing these two getting under one another's skin, and I really can't wait to see what is in store for these two next. Their story is far from over, and I am loving every bit of it. I highly recommend this series for erotica fans and everyone looking for something super sexy and hot. I can't wait to read more from JA Huss.

Review: Follow by J.A. Huss

Follow is the first part in the Social Media serial by J.A. Huss. This serial will have six parts with each installment being released every two weeks. The story continues from one installment to the next and should be read in order. I knew going in that there would be cliffhangers, and honestly I am not the most patient person. But I was so drawn in by the blurb and the idea of this story that I really just could not wait to get my hands on this one. I have to admit that I really loved this first part, and I cannot wait to get more. The next installment is called Like and I will be anxiously waiting for more of Grace and Vaughn.

Grace Kinsella has publicly stalked movie star Vaughn Asher on social media sites for years. He has been the subject of all her dirty tweets, and they are filthy enough to make porn stars blush. When she ends up on vacation with her friend, the last thing she expects is for the subject of her dirty tweets to become a part of her real life instead of just her fantasy. When Vaughn reads a sexy tweet that is about him on her phone, he sets out to get her to submit to their every desire. Even though Grace had heard of his reputation, she quickly finds that Vaughn is even more dark in private than anyone knows. Vaughn is determined to show her the pleasure that awaits them both if she will submit to his control, but Grace struggles with giving him that kind of power regardless of her own desires. When faced with the reality versus her fantasy, Grace must decide whether she is willing to take the risk with Vaughn or if she will be unable to give in to what they both want.

I liked both Vaughn and Grace. Vaughn was sexy and charming, and I really loved his personality. He was blunt and honest and wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind. I loved that he was able to lay everything out for Grace and didn't try to bs her. I thought that he was really great and despite his need for her submission he was also understanding with her. He let her challenge him a bit and even though he was strict about what would happen between them, he was actually very lenient and I liked seeing his amusement with Grace and her attitude. Grace was really easy to like. She was this total dirty tweeter who wasn't afraid to say in detail exactly what she wanted, but when confronted in person about her desires she was much more shy and reserved. I liked that Vaughn had to sort of coax her out of her shell with him, and I loved that he constantly pushed her out of her comfort zone. She was used to hiding behind her social media profile, and it was nice to see her being challenged. I thought that they had amazing chemistry, and were super hot together! But I also saw that they weren't just connecting on a sexual level, and I think it will be very interesting to watch as their feelings continue to develop for one another.

Overall, I thought that this was a great start for Grace and Vaughn and I can't wait to see where things will go from here. These two were super sexy and I enjoyed watching their power struggle over control. I like that they challenged each other and it was really fun to watch these two circle one another. Right now these two are just getting to know one another, and I look forward to seeing them as their feelings start to strengthen and how they will deal with each other after this first interaction and where the story was left. I am so glad that we only have to wait two weeks for the next part, and I honestly will be counting the days. I highly recommend checking this one out, especially if you are looking for something really different and sexy! J.A. Huss started this one off with a bang, and I loved every bit of it!
