ARC Review: The Club by Lauren Rowe

Wow, this book was amazing. The Club sucked me right in from the very first page, and I absolutely couldn't put it down! It was so refreshingly different, and I just loved every bit of it. Lauren Rowe has created such a different story and set of characters and I just couldn't get enough. I already can't wait for the next book because I need more Jonas. I will tell you that these books have cliffhangers and continue from one book to the next, but trust me it is worth the read. Luckily, all three books are now released so you don't have to wait to start the next one.

After hearing his brother talk about The Club, Jonas Faraday can't stop thinking about it and decides to join. When Jonas fills out the online application, he never expects to get a private message back from his intake agent. Jonas is immediately drawn to her and is compelled to learn everything he can about her. As Jonas becomes obsessed with learning who she really is, he enlists his brother and a friend to help them find her. But after he finds her will he continue to only want a short but passionate affair, or will she be the one to finally change his opinion about relationships? And what will happen to his newly purchased membership to The Club?

I freaking loved Jonas. Right away I could tell what would draw women to him, and he never disappointed. He was cocky and confident, and super sexy. But he was also sweet and thoughtful, and extremely smart and deep. This guy seriously had it all, and with each new layer revealed continued to make me fall in love with him just like Sarah did. Jonas Faraday is truly one of a kind, and I loved every side to him. Sarah was fantastic as well. She was smart and sassy, and I loved that she was a bit of a rule breaker. She did what she felt like, and wasn't afraid to challenge Jonas or put him in his place. These two were the perfect match for one another because they made each other better. They pushed each other when needed, and offered support and encouragement as well. Not to mention the chemistry between them was smoking hot! These two really clicked on all levels, and I couldn't wait to see how things between them would shake out.

I will admit that there were a few times in this story that things were a bit slow, and I think part of that was due to some inner monologues and details given. While normally that would made me lose interest in the story, it didn't in this case. It actually made me want to keep reading, because I loved getting inside Jonas and Sarah's heads. I liked seeing their thoughts and feelings, and I was so glad that Lauren Rowe decided to give us both of their POVs. The banter between these two was fantastic, and they were perfectly matched in every aspect. I never expected the twist, and it made me that much more intrigued with this story. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next, and learning more about this fantastic world that Lauren Rowe has created. I highly recommend giving this book a shot. Jonas is more than enough reason to read this story, and I can't wait to dive into The Reclamation.

ARC Review: The Redemption by Lauren Rowe

The Redemption is the third and final installment in The Club series by Lauren Rowe. This series continues from one book to the next, and these absolutely need to be read in order. I was sucked in right from the start though, and I have not been able to put these books down. Trust me once you start, you will not want to stop until you have devoured every last word. Jonas is fantastic, and I adore his character so much. I couldn't wait to start this book after the cliffhanger from The Reclamation, and trust me Lauren Rowe delivered.

The Redemption picks up right after the events of The Reclamation with Jonas having just found Sarah. Jonas struggles with his demons more than ever and is determined to get to the bottom of who is behind The Club. He won't rest until those that hurt Sarah are forced to answer for what they have done. As Jonas and Sarah work together to bring down The Club, they must face more obstacles in their relationship. Will they be able to make it out alive and together, or will there be too many things standing in the way of the love they have found in each other?

I have loved Jonas from the very start, even when he has had his moments. He is so much more than you first think, and I have really loved getting to know him throughout this series. He is cocky and arrogant, but he is also so sweet and vulnerable. We got to see a lot more of his childhood in this book, and it really helped to explain so much about him. I didn't think it was possible to love him more, but Lauren Rowe proved me wrong. Jonas has definitely made it onto my all time favorite book boyfriends list. I loved Sarah as well. She is the perfect match for Jonas. She always stands by him and supports him, but she also isn't afraid to put him in his place when he needs it. She is strong and feisty, and I loved seeing her show Jonas that things happen and that he shouldn't always blame himself for them. The awesome witty banter between these two continued in this book, and I was so happy to see that nothing had changed when it came to that or their insane chemistry! These two are off the charts hot together, and they just seem to get better with each book.

Overall, I have really loved this series. This is one of those that you go into not knowing what to expect since it is a new author, and then you wonder where they have been. Lauren Rowe has given us a solid series that in my opinion was great start to finish. These books never disappointed, and kept me on the edge of my seat and anxious for more. Jonas and Sarah's relationship was always at the heart of the story though and I love these two more than I can say. But I have to say that this book might just have been my favorite of the series. I love Jonas and Sarah, but the secondary characters in this series are just as great! I loved the whole gang working together in Vegas, and thought that they just made the perfect team. If you haven't read these yet, I definitely recommend them. I think that they really do offer something for everyone, and you never know what is going to happen next. This series gave me all the feels and I cannot wait to see what Lauren Rowe writes next.

ARC Review: Floored by Melanie Harlow

Floored is the third and final book in the Frenched Series by Melanie Harlow. I absolutely love this series and while I am not ready to leave these characters behind, I couldn't wait to read this book! If you haven't read the previous books in this series, you can still read Floored. But I would highly recommend starting at the beginning. Melanie Harlow has never disappointed me, and this book had everything that I have come to know and love with her writing.

When Erin Upton's townhouse gets robbed, she is too embarrassed to tell the cops exactly what she was doing when it happened. Especially since the hot cop that shows up is none other that Charlie Dwyer, the boy that once terrorized her when she was younger. Charlie is just as cocky as he always was, but when they continue to run into each other she can't help the attraction between them. When he offers to help her one night with some work on her dance studio, things quickly change between them and they finally give in to the passion between them. They both agree it is a one time thing, as Charlie doesn't date and Erin has no time to deal with Charlie and his arrogance. But soon they find themselves unable to stay away from each other, and their one time turns into several. Can they turn whatever it is they are doing into more?

Charlie and Erin were super hot together, and I loved watching these two circle each other. They were so drawn to each other, and it was clear right from the start. The banter between them and witty conversations they had were fantastic. They were so well matched and I found it hilarious how they interacted with one another. They were almost complete opposites, and yet they fit together so perfectly in every way that mattered. They challenged one another and it was nice to see each of them out of their comfort zones when it came to the other. Charlie was super hot, and I loved that he was so alpha and commanding in the bedroom. But I really enjoyed seeing the softer side to him when he let it out. He had so much beneath the surface, and I liked seeing Erin bring it out in him. Erin was smart and independent, and I liked that she didn't let Charlie walk all over her. She might have been a bit shy at first, but she really came into her own and wasn't afraid to explore her desires with Charlie's help.

Overall, this was a great story and a wonderful end to this series. I really loved Charlie and Erin. Floored was laugh out loud funny while also being sweet and sexy. Melanie Harlow does a great job of writing fun and unique characters that you can't help but fall in love with, and Charlie and Erin were no exception. It was great to get more of the others from the series as well, and I felt like Melanie did a great job of wrapping things up and letting us know how things turned out for everyone. While I will miss this series and the characters, I know that I will go back and read these books over and over again. I am excited to see what else Melanie Harlow writes in the future, and I look forward to whatever she does next. If you haven't checked out this series yet, you are seriously missing out!

ARC Review: The Reclamation by Lauren Rowe

I really loved The Club and was left wanting more, so I couldn't wait to start The Reclamation. I honestly cannot say enough how much I am loving this series by Lauren Rowe. Be aware though that these are not standalone novels, and absolutely need to be read in order. If you haven't read The Club yet, you should stop reading in order to avoid possible spoilers. Also, if you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend that you check it out because it's fantastic!

The Reclamation picks up right after where The Club left off with Jonas and Sarah returning home to find that her apartment has been trashed as well as her friend Kat's. They know that The Club is behind it now that Sarah and Jonas have figured out the truth. Jonas and Sarah are determined to do whatever it takes to be together, but The Club will do anything to make sure that the truth doesn't get out. Can Sarah and Jonas make it out safe and together, or will the danger be more than they can survive?

I loved Jonas and Sarah in the first book, but after reading this one I love them even more. We got to know them both better in this book, and we really learned a lot more about Jonas and his past. Things have become much more clear as far as his actions and responses go. I wanted him to open up to Sarah more, but it was clear that he is trying. Sarah has been able to help him begin the healing process, and she couldn't be more perfect for him. These two are so connected on every level, and I really liked seeing them continue to strengthen their relationship. They are both dealing with new territory here and they both have issues and insecurities. But they also are learning more about each other and I was really glad that they didn't try to fight their feelings or run away from one another. These two were just as hot together as the first time around, but they also had so much more love and emotion between them.

Overall, this was a great second installment. I loved seeing more of these two as well as Kat and Josh. I love that the banter between Jonas and Sarah continued, and I really feel like these two challenge each other in the best way but yet they also know when the other needs support and encouragement. The love between them is clear, and I like that they are able to show it to one another without having to verbalize it. Music has been such a part of their relationship from the beginning and throughout their story I love finding out which song they will use to express themselves next. This series is well written and different, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what Lauren Rowe has in store for them next. I will warn you that there is a huge cliffhanger at the end of this book, but worry not because the third and final book in this series is already out.

ARC Review: Bring Me You by Ryleigh Andrews

Let me start off by saying that this book absolutely wrecked me. I have been trying to get my thoughts together to write this review, and it feels almost impossible. I have to give it Ryleigh Andrews, she packed a powerful punch with her debut novel Bring Me You. This one turned me into an emotional mess, and had a ton of ups and downs. The ending left me completely shattered, and I need the next book now. I am not kidding, I would do just about anything to get more of this story because I absolutely hate where this one left off. It is a great story don't get me wrong, but talk about the mother of all cliffhangers.

When Mia heads to visit her best friend Luke and his daughter Kaitlyn, he drags her to a work party. There he introduces her to football star Ethan Christopher. They instantly hit it off, and despite knowing that there will be distance between them decide to start a relationship. Though Mia refuses to fully open up to him, things take off quickly for them and they soon find themselves falling in love. But when Mia's band gets their break, the time apart between Mia and Ethan grows. Soon with Mia's touring and Ethan's schedule, they find themselves struggling to keep in contact. Soon both Mia and Ethan are making bad choices that could lead to their downfall.

I loved Ethan for the majority of this book. That is until close to the end when he did something that seriously made me want to punch him and ask him what he was thinking. The whole time he had been this great guy, loving and supporting. We got to see all the sweet and thoughtful things that he did for Mia, and he seemed to be such a fantastic guy. I loved seeing his POV and where he was coming from. That being said, we weren't getting the whole picture. He had also done some really bad things that neither the reader nor Mia had any idea about. Mia on the other hand had issues from the start. She was sweet and caring, and I loved her friendship with Luke and his daughter. They started off as so much more, and at the beginning I was kind of hoping that they would be more, until I started to fall for Ethan right along with Mia. But Ethan was so good for Mia that it was impossible not to want those two together. Mia clearly had demons that hadn't been dealt with, and I wanted so badly for Ethan to be the one to help her. I guess that is part of what wrecked me so badly with this story, because I feel as though he completely missed what was right in front of him while he was off doing things he shouldn't be.

Overall, this story was really interesting and I absolutely could not put it down. I knew going into this one that it was the first in the series, but I never expected to be feeling the way I was at the end of this one. I am still shattered by what happened, and unfortunately I tend to blame Ethan more than Mia. If it weren't for his actions, I don't think that Mia would have been in quite the shape she was in or have done the things that she did. I really hope that these two can find a way to heal themselves and move past everything that has happened. I am still rooting for these two to figure things out, and I really hope that they find their HEA without a lot more hurt and heartache along the way. I honestly can't wait for more, and I really hope that we get the next book soon. I thought that Ryleigh Andrews did a great job with this story and this was a really solid debut for her. I did think that there were a few times that things got a bit repetitive though and there were a few times that things were a bit confusing or didn't quite make sense. That was the only reason for this being a four star read for me instead of a five star. I am looking forward to the next book and also to seeing what else Ryleigh Andrews writes in the future.

ARC Review: Forked by Melanie Harlow

I have been excited to read Forked since I first heard about it. I really loved Frenched and couldn't wait to get more of Melanie Harlow's writing. I thought that Forked was a great addition to this series, and everything that I had loved about the first book was present in this one too. It was funny and sexy, and thoroughly entertaining. I am becoming a huge fan of Melanie Harlow's and I honestly can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Coco Thomas wants to get out of her parent's house and buy one for herself without anyone else's help. Unfortunately the house she wants is way out of her price range. When her best friend Mia offers to let her have all the commissions for herself while Mia is preparing to get married, Coco jumps at the chance to help plan an engagement party for a spoiled mafia princess. But when the princess orders Coco to secure the hot celebrity chef Nick Lupo, Coco starts to regret her choice to take the new client on. Nick Lupo broke her heart years ago and the last thing Coco wants is to see him again. But with her dream house on the line, Coco sets out to get his help. Nick agrees to help Coco as long as she spends the weekend with him, but he is determined to right the wrongs he made years ago. While the attraction and feelings between him and Coco are as strong as ever, Nick will have a long way to go in order to earn her trust back.

I really liked Nick and Coco together. These two were fun and flirty, and I loved the tension between them. They had a history together, and the love between them was clear. They had both made mistakes, but they were so young that it was understandable. Their main problems were communication and the fact that they both acted a bit impulsively. But I never questioned their feelings for one another. I thought that it was great to see them find their way back to one another though and I was glad to see that Coco made him work for it a bit. While the sex between them was hot and proved that things between them could be great, they both had a lot of feelings and past regrets to deal with. I will say that Coco was a bit childish at times though, and she acted immaturely several times. I wanted to smack her and tell her to act like the adult she wanted others to treat her as. But she eventually figured things out with the help of her best friends, and I was glad to see that her relationship with Nick was worth the risk.

Overall, I thought that this story was enjoyable and I had a great time reading it. Melanie Harlow is a fantastic writer and always brings out strong emotions with her great characters and story lines. I really enjoy her books and they always have me laughing while also bringing the emotions and steam. I am really loving this series, and I think that each couple is unique and impossible not to fall in love with. I honestly can't wait for more in this series, and I know that each book will be one that I enjoy. I have to say though that I am really excited to read her book Speak Easy. I don't normally read much in the historical genre, but the characters are familiar to readers of Forked and I find the concept for this book fascinating! I can't wait to get Tiny and Joey's story, and I think this one will be just as fun as Forked and Frenched were after hearing about Tiny and Joey in this book! I definitely recommend this series and you can read these as standalones, but I absolutely recommend starting at the beginning because you won't want to miss any of these books!

ARC Review: Conquer Me by Geneva Lee

I have been dying to get my hands on Conquer Me since I finished Command Me, and I absolutely could not wait for more of X and Clara. I loved these two right away, and I knew that their story was going to be interesting. Geneva Lee definitely did not disappoint with the second book in The Royals Saga and if you were a fan of the first book, I think that you will really like the second one. These absolutely need to be read in order as the story continues from one book to the next, so make sure that you start at the beginning if you haven't already read Command Me. This series is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites though, and I am already anxious for the next book!

Conquer Me picks up after the events of Command Me with Clara and X reaching a turning point in their relationship. Though Clara loves Alexander, she refuses to be kept a secret and treated as nothing more than a mistress. Though it leaves both X and Clara broken-hearted, she chooses to walk away now before it is too late. But the more time that passes, the more X and Clara realize that they can't stop what is between them no matter how much distance there is. Soon Clara finds herself back in X's arms, and unable to fight the feelings she has for him. But X has warned her of his past and the darkness within him, even if Clara has yet to experience it. As Clara and X find their way back to one another, they have new obstacles to face. Can they conquer what lies ahead for them, or will they be torn apart?

I love X so much. He is sexy and alpha, and will stop at nothing to protect those he loves. This is especially true if he thinks they need protecting from him. What I love about X though is that he is so complex. He has a past and has tortured himself with everything that happened, and he has shut himself off from truly feeling love because of it. He tried so hard to fight it with Clara, choosing to never let her in enough to be hurt by what he thinks will break her. But try as he might, he was unable to fight what was between them and I found it fascinating to watch. Clara thought that she was doing what she had to do for herself and for X, but soon realized that she couldn't live without him. She could fight it all she wanted, but just like X she saw that what was between them was far stronger than anything either of them could control. Clara continues to be great for X though. They really are starting to understand each other and see through the other as only a couple deep in love can. These two are so much stronger together, and I love seeing them come together rather than try to go it alone. These two are super hot together and have off the charts chemistry, but they also have such an undeniable connection which is what makes them truly special.

I honestly cannot wait for more. I have loved getting to see X and Clara's journey so far, and it is nowhere near over. I really enjoyed seeing Clara's friendship with X's brother, and I really love her best friend. I thought that this book was really great because of the secondary characters almost as much as the main characters. Geneva Lee is a fantastic writer, and I find myself getting lost in her stories so easily. Whenever I start her books the rest of the world seems to fall away, and I can't help but breeze through them. If you are looking for a sexy and enthralling story, this series is an absolute must read. I cannot say enough good things about it, and it is really one of those that you just have to read for yourself. I can't wait for the next book, Crown Me, and to also see what else Geneva Lee does in the future. Geneva Lee is quickly becoming a favorite author for me, and I look forward to reading more from her.

Feature and Giveaway: Rouse Me by Crystal Kaswell

Alyssa Summers is not the kind of girl who cheats. Sure, she isn't in love with her fiancé, Ryan Knight, but she has no use for silly ideas like love or passion. She needs someone who can keep her from destroying herself. She needs Ryan. She's sure of it.

Then she meets Luke Lawrence.

He's handsome. And he's bold—he thinks nothing of flirting with her in front of Ryan. And he's smart, and articulate, and interested in what she has to say.

But she should be able to stop thinking about him.

So what if his big, brown eyes light up when he smiles? So what if his laugh completely disarms her? So what if his touch-- even his fingertips grazing her back-- makes her body hum?

She shouldn't feel so tempted. She shouldn't feel so desperate to know him. Luke is Ryan's business partner, for God's sake. She should be able to resist him.

But she can't. She wants Luke more than she's ever wanted anything.

Review: Rouse Me by Crystal Kaswell

Rouse Me by Crystal Kaswell originally drew me in with the beautiful cover. I loved the look of it and it really made me want to read this story. Then I read the blurb, and I thought that it sounded really interesting. I occasionally like to really lose myself in some angst and drama, and what better way to do that than with a love triangle? All that being said while I did enjoy parts of this story, I was left with mixed feelings on this book. I think that this story had a lot of potential, but just fell a bit short.

Alyssa Summers has been through a tough time and is just starting to get her life back on track. She has a fiance that she loves and who has always been there for her. Even if they don't always agree on what is best for her, Alyssa knows that Ryan is just trying to look out for her. But when she meets Ryan's business partner Luke, she is instantly attracted to him and can't stop thinking about him. She knows that she should not be thinking about him like she does, but she is unable to stop herself. Alyssa wants Luke more than anything she has ever wanted before, but she also thinks that she needs Ryan. How can Alyssa possibly choose between her want and growing feelings for Luke when she still loves and needs Ryan?

I did not like Ryan at all! He didn't seem to truly care about Alyssa at all. He would try to control every bit of her life while claiming it was for her own good, and yet he didn't listen to when she would tell him her wants and needs. Ryan never seemed to want to really spend time with her or actually be around her though, and he was more than a workaholic. Alyssa was also hard for me to really like or connect with. Her inner monologues got really annoying, and I found her to be whiny and irritating. I really just felt like she complained a lot and was immature. She was wishy washy and weak, and I wanted her to grow a backbone and make some decisions. I did like Luke. I felt like he was good for Alyssa and he seemed to care about her. They got along well right off, and had insane chemistry. While Luke was broken and dealing with things, I felt like that was part of what made him work so well with Alyssa. They were both a bit fractured and I think that really allowed them to relate to one another in a way that others just couldn't.

What really was the biggest problem for me though was the actual relationships in this story. I don't agree with cheating, but I can handle a bit of it in books assuming that things end up working out and that there is a point behind it. I felt like it went on for far too long in this story without Alyssa ever actually making a choice. She really didn't belong with Ryan and I felt like she stayed with him out of a sense of her past and him being there for her even though she knew he wasn't right for her. I really wanted her to step up and I got tired of waiting for it to happen. I also felt like it was a bit anticlimactic when the truth was finally out there. It was almost as though Ryan had been expecting it from them and didn't really seem to react as a loving fiance would. I would be devastated if it was me, and I never felt any of that from him. I think there was a disconnect with Ryan's character for the reader and because of how he comes off from the beginning of the story it was hard to ever really sympathize with him. I think maybe if we had seen his POV it would have changed how I felt, but without that it was hard to really get behind this one. I am curious to see what happens next though, and I am definitely interested in reading the next book in this series. I hope that Crystal Kaswell is able to really give us more of these characters in the next book and that we really get to see what happens for them after everything that they have been through. I think that there are a lot of readers that will be able to really enjoy this story for what it is, but if you are sensitive to infidelity then this one might not be for you.

ARC Review: Unwritten by M.C. Decker

Unwritten is the debut novel from M.C. Decker, and I really enjoyed this story. I thought that it was well written and interesting, and I didn't want to put this one down at all. I will warn you though that this is not a standalone novel as I had thought and is actually the first in a series. Yes that means it ends with a huge cliffhanger that I was completely unprepared for and it just about killed me. It looks as though the next book in the series Unscripted will be out sometime in 2015. Despite the ending that I wasn't ready for, I thought that M.C. Decker did a great job on her debut novel and I am looking forward to reading more from her.

Brooke Anderson had a great life, and was on track to making all of her dreams come true. Then she literally ran into Rich Davis, and everything changed for her. Despite their initial and less than great meeting, Rich and Brooke got to know one another and continued to get closer. Despite their feelings for one another, things between them always stayed just friends due to one reason or another. Now several years later, they haven't spoken once until Brooke shows up to a job interview at The Washington Post where she has always dreamed of working. The feelings and attraction between them resurface and both are wanting to have each other in a way they never have before. While Rich will stop at nothing to finally make Brooke his, Brooke is apprehensive about starting anything due to the fact that she will now be working for him. But can she really deny everything that is between them and what her heart wants regardless of what her head tells her?

I liked both Rich and Brooke a lot. I thought that they both made some really dumb mistakes, but I also saw their reasons for them. Rich comes off as an arrogant jerk at first, and I really was worried that I was going to hate him. But he won me over just as he won Brooke over, and I really began to like him. He was really smart and dedicated and I loved his confidence. He expected greatness out of others, but he was also living up to that himself. Brooke was smart as well, and I really loved that they could connect through their love of writing and editing. These two connected on every single level, and I like that Brooke could hold her own with Rich. She was a strong and independent woman, and I really thought that she was a great heroine. I felt so badly at times for Brooke and Rich both. They had some issues with timing and outside influences, and it really seemed as though their stars would never align. But I knew these two were perfect for one another and needed to end up together, so I just had to have faith that they would find their way to each other at the end of their solo journeys.

Overall, I really did enjoy this story and I loved pretty much everything about it. Besides the cliffhanger ending though, there were a few small things that kept this book from being a five star read for me. I felt like at times both Rich and Brooke acted childishly, especially Brooke. Her actions felt like those of a teenager rather than an adult, and I wanted to tell her to get a grip and act her age. Luckily this wasn't the majority of the story or anything, and it was only occasionally. I also felt as though Rich would do things at times that completely contradicted what he would say to Brooke. While he was telling her he would wait for her and that their story wasn't over, he would date others and lose touch with her. He also seemed to not really try to convince her of what could be between them, and at times it felt like he gave up on her and them far too easily. Of course he would eventually try to make things right and move forward, but it was frustrating at times that he would seem almost uninterested in her. I think that M.C. Decker had a really solid debut in Unwritten though, and I will definitely be stalking online to see when the next book comes out. I think if you know there is more coming and aren't expecting an HEA at the end of this book that it would completely change how you feel at the end of this story. I was disappointed with where it ended because I loved these characters at that point and really wanted to see them happy. The fact that it was such a huge cliffhanger left my emotions running wild and I honestly need to know what happens next. These two will be on my mind until I get the next installment in their story, and I just hope that I don't have to wait too long or I might go crazy. I would definitely recommend this story, and I think that M.C. Decker has a promising writing career ahead of her. I know I will be looking forward to seeing what she writes in the future.

Feature and Giveaway: Unwritten by M.C. Decker

I thought it was too late. I thought our story had already been written.

College sophomore Brooke Anderson thought she had it all − a loving family, her sexy high school sweetheart, a supportive, quick-witted best friend and dreams of being the next hotshot reporter for the Washington Post.

Fate had something else in mind when Brooke collided with the devastatingly handsome upperclassman, Rich Davis. Rich was cocky, conceited and arrogant. He was everything that Brooke didn’t want, but Rich never gave her the option. He had already made the choice to be, at the very least, her friend. Would Brooke accept this egotistical man’s friendship? Would she choose to want more? Would it be too late if she did?

Fast forward nearly ten years. Brooke’s life hadn’t played out quite as she had envisioned it. She was suffering from the heartbreaking loss of her mother, her high school sweetheart was long gone, and her dreams of the Washington Post had turned into a career at a small town paper. Brooke decided it was time to follow her dreams. If she couldn’t be happy in love, at least she could be happy in life.

Brooke’s dreams brought her to the lobby of the Washington Post where fate intervened once again as she collided with none other than the devastatingly handsome Rich Davis. As her potential employer, Rich now seemed off-limits. Brooke wanted her successful career more than a chance at love. But, was it really her choice to make, or was it beyond her control?

Maybe my story is, in fact, Unwritten …

Review: Night Owl by M. Pierce

This book has been on my mind since the second I finished it. I have absolutely the biggest book hangover ever after Night Owl by M. Pierce and I cannot wait to get the next installment in this trilogy. Night Owl was truly fantastic, and my words will never be able to accurately explain all the reasons that I loved this book so much. But I can honestly say that this is not only one of the best books that I have ever read, but that this could be one of my all time favorites. Night Owl is a must read. This book has so much to offer, and honestly I think that Night Owl is one that anyone can find something to relate to or be drawn into.

Matt Sky has everything that he could ever want. He has plenty of money, a girlfriend, and a wildly successful career as an author under the pen-name of M. Pierce that currently has four bestsellers. His alias is often questioned and there are many rumors about who M. Pierce is, but there are only a select few who know his true identity. Matt meets Hannah Catalano online where they begin to write together. The writing partners have some rules between them, not the least of which is no personal information or pictures. But when Hannah mistakenly sends an email to Matt from her regular email account, Matt is instantly drawn to her. When Hannah relocates and winds up closer than ever, the two begin a relationship that is more intense than either of them have ever felt before. But with so many secrets and obstacles between them, are they doomed before they ever truly begin?

I loved Matt and all of his quirks. I liked that he was such a dirty talker and was able to really explore the passion between him and Hannah. He was so sexy and demanding when it came to sex, but he was also so cute and a little bit nerdy the rest of the time. He had a pet rabbit, which for some reason absolutely fascinates me. I think it is pretty much the most adorable thing ever and for some reason really stuck with me. I didn't like that he started things with Hannah while he still had a girlfriend, but I do understand some of why he let things go on longer than they should have. His connection with Hannah was undeniable, and they connected on absolutely every level. Hannah was easy to like as well, and I really loved her personality. She was just one of those heroines that is so cool you would love to hang out with in real life. It was easy to see how Matt could be so drawn to her. These two had a great connection, and I loved that they met through writing. But their chemistry was off the charts and honestly I have to say was stronger than I think I have ever read about before.

Overall, this book was fantastic and was one that I am still thinking about now. I know that I will reread this one over and over in the future. It was so well written, and I loved absolutely everything about it. It was smart and witty, sexy and hot. But it was also beautiful and had a way of showing such a strong connection and relationship differently than I have ever seen done before. I never knew exactly what would happen next, and I will admit that the ending absolutely shocked me. It left me reeling, and I need the next book like I have never needed a sequel before. I honestly wish I could talk about what happened, but you really do not want to be spoiled on this one and have to read it for yourself. Trust me, this one is definitely worth the read and you will not be disappointed with Night Owl. I just wish that I could go back and read this one for the first time all over again to truly experience the whole thing like it was the first time. I honestly felt sad to finish this one and leave the characters behind for now. I have a few books that just really resonate with me, and Night Owl is definitely one of them. I know that I will be trying to be patient as I anxiously await the next book from M. Pierce, and Last Light cannot get here fast enough.
