ARC Review: Ruthless King by Meghan March

I am a huge fan of Meghan March and I was beyond excited when I saw this series coming out from her. I have loved everything I have read from her, but this one really intrigued me and I knew it was going to be special. It really felt unlike anything I have read before, and I think this just might be her best work yet!

I am not going to go into much detail on this story because this really just needs to be experienced. This is the story of Keira Kilgore and Lachlan Mount. Lachlan Mount is powerful, and runs New Orleans. He always gets what he wants, and what he wants is Keira. After loaning money to her family's failing distillery, he knows that he has her.

Lachlan is all alpha and super sexy. He is also almost a complete mystery! For every little clue we get as to who he is, we have so many more questions. The one thing I can tell you for sure though is that he is absolutely fascinating, and I can't wait to see more of him in the rest of this series! I am so looking forward to watching as his layers get peeled back and revealed as Meghan March continues this series. Keira was equally interesting for me. I liked her and felt connected to her, and I honestly just really enjoyed these two. Things were steamy and there was clear chemistry between Keira and Mount, and I just know that this is the tip of the iceberg and things will only get better from here.

Overall, this book was fantastic and I was captivated from start to finish! I devoured this story from the first word to the last, like I said I really do believe that this is Meghan's best work yet. This world is a bit darker and grittier than some of her past books and it is a world that I can't get enough of. After the ending here I am anxious for more! I really don't have the words to describe how much I loved this one, so the only thing I will say is that this is a must read! Ruthless King was such a great start to the Mount trilogy and I think readers are going to love this one! Trust me when I say to go into this one blind, you won't want anything to be spoiled ahead of time.

ARC Review: Beneath the Truth by Meghan March

Beneath the Truth is the seventh book in the Beneath Series by Meghan March, but don't worry about starting here even if you haven't read the previous books. This one is a standalone story that is able to be enjoyed even if you are brand new to this series. This series was my first experience with Meghan March's books and I fell in love with her writing style. I have enjoyed it from start to finish, and this series will always be special to me. That being said, Beneath the Truth was so good and just might be my favorite of them all!

Ex-detective Rhett Hennessy has been living life off the grid since everything he thought he knew about his life was turned upside down. Determined to solve a case that hits close to home, Rhett returns to New Orleans to find answers. But what he never expects is for his best friend's little sister Ariel to complicate everything.

I loved Ari and Rhett. Ari was so strong and sassy, and I loved that she wasn't the same girl she had been when Hennessy had known her before. She was so real and genuine, with a ton of depth to her, I felt like she was exactly what Rhett needed. Rhett was impossible not to love! He was sexy and alpha and I couldn't get enough of him. I loved the history between these two and the forbidden nature of their relationship. This is always a favorite trope of mine, but these two were just perfect! Their chemistry was strong and I loved the banter and intensity of their connection.

Overall, I felt this was a really great end to the series and I am sad that it is over. While this can definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend the entire series. I have loved each book and I think that they are books that fans of romance and suspense will enjoy. Meghan March does a great job of hooking the reader right from the start and keeping them interested until the last page. The Beneath series is filled with sexy alphas, likable heroines, suspense and twists to keep you guessing and the romance is done as only Meghan March can. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next, and whatever it is I will definitely be reading it.

ARC Review: Take Me Back by Meghan March

Meghan March has done it again with Take Me Back! I really loved this story from start to finish, and while it has everything that I have come to know and enjoy from Meghan March it was new and fresh and had a different feel to it than her other books. This isn't your typical second chance romance, and I think readers are going to enjoy it just as much as I did.

Kat and Dane fell in love and got married in paradise. They thought that they had found their happily ever after, but two years later they no longer recognize the people that they are. Their relationship is damaged and nothing like they expected, so they head back to paradise in order to try and save their relationship. But they'll have to risk everything in order to try and save what is now broken, and hope that their secrets won't destroy everything beyond repair.

I really loved these two. They had great chemistry and a connection that you could tell was still there despite the circumstances that they found themselves in. I can't really go into any kind of detail about this story so as not to ruin anything, and trust me you don't want me to. This book is best experienced not knowing anything ahead of time and I truly recommend going in blind here. These characters and their story are worth taking a chance on, and I think fans of Meghan's will love this one like like I did. If you are new to her books, this is a great story to start with. Take Me Back was a great read, and I definitely recommend giving it a shot. If you like second chance romance stories with a twist, this is one you are going to want to read.

ARC Review: Real Good Love by Meghan March

I couldn't wait to start Real Good Love as soon as I had finished Real Good Man by Meghan March. This is the second book in the Real Duet, and these need to be read in order as this story picks up right after where we left off in Real Good Man. I love Logan and Banner so much, and this book was a really great finish to their story!

After dating a bunch of losers and bad boys, Banner has finally seen what a good man looks like with Logan. What started out as a fling, quickly became more. But Logan and Banner have more than just their differences threatening to keep them apart. Do Logan and Banner have a chance at a future together, or will there be too many obstacles ready to destroy everything between them?

I absolutely love these two. Banner is feisty and fun, and I absolutely love how she stands up for herself and refuses to let others get to her. She has a vulnerable side, and yet she fights for what she wants. Logan is beyond sweet and sexy, and his love for Banner is so strong. I loved that he is alpha and protective, yet he is patient and kind with her. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, smoking hot and I can never get enough of them.

There was more suspense this time around, and if I am honest that both worked and didn't work at times here for me. While I did like some aspects of it, there were some things about it that felt a bit too far fetched and out of nowhere for me. I enjoyed this story a lot though, and Banner and Logan are some of my favorite characters that Meghan March has ever written. Fans of hers and Real Good Man will love this one, and I highly recommend this duet to anyone that loves steamy and sweet romance stories. Meghan March is a great writer and she never disappoints. I am looking forward to seeing what she has in store for readers next!

ARC Review: Real Good Man by Meghan March

Real Good Man is the first book in the new Real duet from Meghan March. As soon as I heard about these books, I couldn't wait to read! Though this duet is a standalone duet (you need to read Real Good Man and Real Good Love in order), fans of March will recognize both Logan and Banner from her Dirty Billionaire and Dirty Girl books. I highly recommend reading those as well as Real Good Man for full enjoyment (they are fantastic!) but it isn't necessary to understand Real Good Man.

Banner and Logan are complete opposites, with him being a mechanic from Kentucky and her being a city girl from New York. But one text changes everything, and soon Logan and Banner are texting back and forth. Logan knows she is out of his league, but when the opportunity to meet in person presents itself Logan is determined to show her that he can be exactly what she needs.

I loved both Logan and Banner before starting this book, and that only grew here! Banner is sassy and the kind of heroine I love to read about! She is just so much fun, and I loved that she just owned who she was. Logan was dirty and sweet, and so real and genuine. He might possibly be my favorite March hero yet and that is saying something as she always creates such sexy heroes that you can help but fall in love with! I honestly just loved these two together and really enjoyed this first installment in their story.

Meghan had me hooked right away, and I didn't want to put this one down. Since this book is the first in the duet, the story isn't over yet for these two. Luckily there isn't much time in between and there isn't a huge cliffhanger either. There were a few things that took me by surprise here, and I am interested to see where things go from here. If you are new to Meghan March, this is a great place to start, though I have yet to be disappointed by her and would recommend checking out any of her books. If you are already a fan though, this book is everything readers have come to know and love about her books and one that you definitely need to read.

ARC Review: Beneath These Shadows by Meghan March

Beneath These Shadows is the sixth standalone novel in the Beneath series by Meghan March. While each book can be read on it's own, the characters are connected and are best if read in order. I have most of this series, and I have enjoyed each book that I have read. That was the case here too, and I think new readers will enjoy this one just as much as fans of this series will.

Bishop has never been one to put down roots. He drifts from one city to the next, inking clients along the way. But when he gets to New Orleans and meets Eden, everything changes. Where Eden is innocent, Bishop is not. But he helps her out and the two quickly discover a connection between them that they never expected.

I liked both Bishop and Eden. I loved them together and the chemistry between them was strong. As the daughter of a crime boss, Eden had grown up being told what to do and not having much freedom, so it was great to see her start to come into her own. She really started to grow and change with Bishop's help, and I enjoyed that. Bishop was interesting and I liked getting to know him here. I will say that I did find it hard at times to connect with these two, and I didn't feel as invested in these two as I have with characters in previous books of this series. It wasn't that I didn't like them, because I did, I just didn't feel that same pull that I typically do with a Meghan March story.

I also felt like things were a bit cliched at times here and there wasn't really anything new or truly unique about the story. So while I liked it, I didn't love it. I do think that there was a lot to like here though, and fans of the series will enjoy seeing familiar faces as well as getting to know both Eden and Bishop. I was interested to see how everything would play out and Meghan March definitely knows how to bring the steam with her stories. So while this wasn't my favorite of the series, I do recommend this book to fans as well as those that haven't read any of the series yet. Meghan March is a great writer and I recommend checking her books out if you haven't already. I know I will read more from her in the future and look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

ARC Review: Bad Judgment by Meghan March

Meghan March is one of those authors that I automatically add to my TBR list whenever I see a new release, because I know I will love her books! I couldn't wait for Bad Judgment when I first heard about it, and I really enjoyed it! Once I started, I didn't want to put this one down.

Justine is a good girl law student that has worked hard to get where she is. So with her scholarship gone, she realizes that she has to resort to tutoring Ryker in order to make things work. Ryker has been asking her out for 2 years, but she has always turned him down. With them spending more time together, Justine begins to realize that while she does like him she can't be just a one night stand to him. But Ryker is determined to show her that she is anything but a one night stand.

I really liked these two. Ryker was so determined when it came to Justine, and I couldn't get enough of him. I loved watching him chase her while she tried to fend him off, but seeing that it was impossible for her in the end. I felt invested in them both right away, and I loved the connection that was building between them. They had a ton of chemistry and their relationship felt so real and genuine to me. The had issues like ever relationship, but the way they dealt with them felt true to life which often isn't the case with romance novels.

Overall, I really liked this story. I did feel as though the ending was a bit too easily wrapped up for my taste. It felt as though things were just sort of thrown together and tied in a neat bow which didn't seem to fit with the rest of the story completely. It felt like a lot was unnecessary and I think had it not been for the ending that this would have been a really great book instead of just a really good one. I still love Meghan March and her books, but this one wasn't my favorite of hers, though I did enjoy it. This definitely won't be the last I read from Meghan March, and if you haven't read anything by her yet you are missing out!

ARC Review: Dirty Love by Meghan March

Dirty Love is the second book in the Dirty Girl Duet by Meghan March. These books are not standalone stories though and need to be read in order. If you read the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy you will recognize Greer as Creighton's sister. But you do not need to have read that trilogy to enjoy this duet. Just make sure you have read Dirty Girl before diving into Dirty Love.

Dirty Love picks up right where the cliffhanger in Dirty Girl left off. Greer has just discovered that Cav is Creighton's half brother (Greer and Cav are in no way related!) and that he has been lying to her since they have known one another. Hurt and not knowing what to do, Greer leaves Cav in Belize. But Cav walked away from Greer once and is determined to do whatever it takes to keep Greer forever this time, even if it means he has to fight dirty.

Greer and Cav had just as much heat here as they did in Dirty Girl. I loved how hot they were, and I couldn't get enough of them. These two just had so much chemistry that it was impossible for them to be around one another and the sparks not to fly. They had also developed a strong connection though, and that felt true throughout this entire story. I hated that Cav hadn't been honest with Greer from the beginning and I definitely don't support him not telling her the truth. However, I do understand where he was coming from and the fact that he believed he was protecting her. The one thing I will say though is that I really felt like things were smoothed over far too easily here. I wanted to see Cav grovel a bit more, and I really felt like Greer let him get away with everything much easier than I would have or hoped she would have.

Overall, this was a great conclusion to their story and even the small criticism I had with the conflict wasn't enough to keep me from loving this one. I truly have loved this whole world from Meghan March since the beginning of Holly and Creighton's story, and I never want to leave! There are several characters in this duet that I hope get their own stories, and I will be anxious to see if Meghan March will write them. Meghan March is a fantastic writer, and I can't wait to read whatever she writes next. If you are new to her, she is definitely one you need to check out and I highly recommend the Dirty Girl Duet as well as the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy!

ARC Review: Dirty Girl by Meghan March

Dirty Girl is the first book in the Dirty Girl Duet by Meghan March. If you have read her Dirty Billionaire Trilogy, you will recognize Greer as Creighton's sister. However if you haven't read those books yet (you absolutely should!) this one can be read without any problems. With this being the first book in the duet though, I will warn you there is a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book! I thought I loved Creighton and Holly (and I do!), but Greer and Cav are so hot!

After finding her boyfriend with another woman, Greer Karas gets drunk with her best friend and posts an ad online. When she wakes up the next morning and realizes what she did, she scrambles to do damage control but the ad has gone viral and it is too late for anything to be done. So when Cavanaugh Westman, Hollywood's hottest new bad boy, shows up at her door she is shocked to see him. But Cav is also the man that left her years before without a word, breaking her heart. Cav will do whatever it takes for a second chance with Greer, but the only thing she wants are answers for why he left her before and Cav knows that he can't give her any.

I loved these two so much! Creighton and Holly were hot, but Greer and Cav were smoking! These two had so much chemistry right away and I seriously have no idea how my Kindle is still intact and didn't burst into flames. These two had so much between them beyond just heat though, and I really thought that they were great together. I hated that Cav had left Greer years before and hurt her, but I also saw that he hadn't done it because he didn't have feelings for her. It was clear that he had always cared about her and that his reasons for leaving were because he thought that he had no choice. I kept waiting for the truth to come out and I couldn't wait to see what those reasons were. I felt like Greer deserved the truth and I was hoping that it would be something that they could work through.

At the end, we do get some insight into his reasons for leaving her years before in the form of a huge cliffhanger! I can't wait for the second installment in this series to pick up where we left off here. Greer and Cav are still on my mind, and I cannot wait to get more of them. If you haven't read this one yet, there is still time before the second installment comes out to catch up. Meghan March is a great writer and I will be anxiously waiting for the next book. Dirty Girl had great writing, a sexy alpha male, and plenty of heat to keep me captivated right from the start and I can't recommend this one enough!

ARC Review: Dirty Together by Meghan March

Dirty Together is the third and final installment in the Dirty Billionaire trilogy by Meghan March. This needs to be read in order as the Holly and Creighton's story has continued from one book to the next. So if you haven't read Dirty Billionaire and Dirty Pleasures, start there and beware of possible spoilers below. That being said, I highly recommend this series if you haven't read it yet and these books are definitely some of my favorites!

Dirty Together picks up where Dirty Pleasures ends, with Holly once again having run from Creighton. But Creighton is determined to show her once and for all that they belong together. He will continue to chase her until she finally sees that what they have is real and that they are better together than apart.

I have really loved getting to know Holly and Creighton as this series has progressed, and I can honestly say that I never loved them more than I did here. These two were finally finding themselves on the same page, and their bond just continued to strengthen. Creighton was still dirty and sexy and commanding, yet he had a softer side here that I adored! His love for Holly continued to deepen, and it was clear that she was it for him and he would do anything to show her that. Holly had some insecurities and fears that had her running more than once, but she was finally starting to see that she was worthy of being with Creighton. Yes they were different, but the feelings they shared were real and went beyond their differences.

Overall, a great ending to this series and I am sad it is over. I really love these characters and Meghan March is a fantastic writer. I am a huge fan of hers, and with each new book I read from her I continue to be impressed by the stories and characters she creates. I can't wait to see what she writes next, and I highly recommend her books. If you like sexy heroes and great romance stories, her books are not to be missed!
