ARC Review: Only For Your Touch by Naima Simone

Only For Your Touch is the second installment in the Licks series. This is a stand-alone novel, you can start reading the series right here. This installment is the story of Corrine and Sasha. Sasha runs a sex club along with his two business partners. Sasha and Corrine meet at the club (although, Corrine is in the part that is just a regular club and is only aware of the sex club part by rumor).

Sasha managed to escape a life of crime in which he was somehow connected to the Irish mob. His goal in life, that he carefully manages, is to remain on the legal up and up and run his club and peace. Sasha has a Viking Warrior look, a need for control and an ultra alpha male exterior. In other words, he is kind of my perfect guy. Sasha had a difficult time leaving the criminal element of his past. He still yearns for the excitement of that life. So the last thing he needs is to tempt himself by going anywhere near his past deeds.

Corrine has had her whole world turned upside down. She thought she was the daughter of an upstanding businessman who had a very proper upbringing. Corinne did not realize that her father was the head of a mafia family and that her entire family are mobsters. She has recently been outed in the press and her father is in jail. Corrine's whole world has been turned upside down. After living her whole life repressing all of her sexual needs, she meets Sasha at a time when she is both looking for domination and to be dominated.

This story is exciting from the first page because Sasha immediately realizes who Corrine is. He knows the last thing he needs is to have Corrine bring mob attention to his club. The second to last thing he needs is a mob princess in his bed. Sasha wasn't prepared for Corrine to be everything he didn't know he was missing. The relationship between these two start out as pure sexual chemistry and exploration. It is very smoking hot but it is not supposed to go beyond a good time. Both quickly learn that their addiction to the other is more than just physical. I always love a heroine who can unlock a hero's damaged soul. I also loved that Sasha taught Corrine that it was okay to be herself in the light of day.  Did I mention there is smoking hot sex?

This book is a super short, very fast paced read. It's not going to change your life but it will titillate and entertain you for a few hours.

ARC Review: Royally Screwed by Emma Chase

I have really enjoyed everything that I have read from Emma Chase, and Royally Screwed was no different. While I haven't read her Tangled series, her Legal Briefs series is one that I highly recommend. Royally Screwed is the first book in her newest series, and I think that fans of hers are going to love it! Royal Screwed is a standalone story, but after visiting this world she has created I can hardly wait to return!

Nicholas is a prince, and since he is the oldest, he knows that one day he will become king. He has always done whatever has been asked of him, but everything changes the day he meets Olivia. Olivia is a commoner, working in her family's coffee shop. When Nicholas shows up, she has no idea who he is and when he offends her, she throws a pie in his face. But when Nicholas shows back up asking for her forgiveness, Olivia finds herself unable to stay away. Though Olivia and Nicholas find themselves looking for a future together, Nicholas will have to decide who he is and what that means for his future.

Nicholas was charming and I absolutely loved him! He was everything you could want in a book boyfriend and prince. He was caring and took his status seriously, which I adored about him. He was loyal to not only those he cared about, but also to his people! Olivia was fantastic as well! She was loyal to her family as well, and I loved that she was so hard working. She really gave so much of herself to others, and I thought that her sweetness and personality was perfect for Nicholas. These two had off the charts chemistry and I loved their banter! It must be said that Emma Chase absolutely shines when it comes to fun and sexy banter!

Overall, this book was so good and I didn't want to put it down! It was everything I have come to know and love from Emma Chase, yet set in a delightful and delicious new world! She told an amazing story that left me hungry for more. I loved Nicholas and Olivia, yet I really loved the secondary characters as well. I highly recommend this book, and I think that readers are going to love this book just as much as I did. My favorite Emma Chase book had been Appealed, but Royally Screwed might just have become my new favorite.

Feature: Midnight Untamed by Lara Adrian

The mission was supposed to be simple. Infiltrate an enemy’s stronghold outside Rome and eliminate its leader. For a Breed warrior as lethal as Ettore Selvaggio, AKA “Savage”, stealth assassinations are only one of his many cold-hearted specialties. But the last thing Savage expects to find behind enemy lines—in his target’s bed—is a woman he once adored.

It’s been years since Savage last saw beautiful Arabella Genova. Years he’s strived to banish to his past, along with the fierce desire he once felt toward Bella . . . and the irresistible calling of her blood that stirs in him even now, despite the fact that she belongs to another male.

But when fate throws Savage and Bella together again in a race for their lives, will his long-lost love prove to be the one woman he can’t live without, or the perfect weapon to destroy him?

ARC Review: Touching Down by Nicole Williams

Touching Down is my first Nicole Williams book. I am such a sucker for sports romance stories, and this one sounded like something that I would absolutely love. I have to admit that at times I really struggled here though and ultimately was left with mixed feelings on the story.

Grant and Ryan loved each other, but just when it looked like their happy ending was in reach, Ryan disappeared. Heartbroken and alone, Grant threw himself into the game and became a name everyone knew. Just as he thinks that he has finally been able to move on, Ryan reappears and changes everything for him once again.

I really loved Grant! He was amazing and I really felt for him. I did have some problems with Ryan though. I hated some of the decisions that she made, and the worst was the fact that she wasn't honest with him. So much could have been different, and while I understand some of what her reasons were I don't agree with them. I also felt like Grant forgave her too easily, and I really wanted him to make her work for it. They had chemistry and a connection, but I just didn't really feel fully invested in their relationship. Things didn't really start to progress for me until late in the story and at that point it was kind of a too little too late sort of situation for me.

Overall, I think that this book had a ton of potential and just didn't quite live up to it. There was so much promise for where this book could have gone and unfortunately it just didn't get there for me. I do think that this book had some good moments and there were things that I enjoyed. I am glad I read it, I just wish that a few things would have been a bit different and I could have felt more of the romance earlier on for me. There were a few unrealistic things as well, and those kept me from loving this book. I would read more from Nicole Williams though, and I think that this is worth taking the chance on if it sounds like something you might like.
