I admit, part of this is my personal crush on Clive Owen, but I’ve also seen him in roles where his character breaks free from a rigid persona, and it was absolutely lovely to watch. =)

Charlotte, by comparison, has made herself into a seductress in the three years that they’ve been married. In the first line of the book, Philip describes her as “exquisite”. She is the woman that every man wants, a great beauty. The best actress I could think of to play Charlotte both for her looks and for her ability to act the seductress is Angelina Jolie.
