My Favorite Book Boyfriend with KC Klein and Giveaway

KC Klein has lived most of her life with her head in the clouds and her nose buried in a book. She did stop reading long enough to make a home with a real life hero, her husband, for over sixteen years. A mother of two children, she spends her time slaying dragons, saving princesses, and championing the belief in the happily-ever-after. Her debut novel, Dark Future, is a finalist in the 2012 Prism contest and has been honored with a reviewer’s choice award. Her other titles include a science fiction romance anthology, Hotter on the Edge, and a new contemporary romance, Texas Wide Open. KC loves to hear from readers and can be found desperately pounding away on her laptop in yoga pants and leopard slippers or more conveniently at www.kckleinbooks.com.

Places to find KC:

My favorite boyfriend book is Adam Black from Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander Series. The book The Immortal Highlander features Adam Black who is the world’s most die-hard bad boy. I love everything Moning puts out, but The Immortal Highlander cinched the deal in making her an “auto-buy” for me. I have a hardcover that I am willing to send to a winner anywhere in the continent US. I know once you’ve read The Immortal Highlander, Adam Black will become your most fav book boyfriend also.

I encourage stalking in all forms, but FB and Twitter are the most effective. I also have a blog, Romance With An Edge, that I like to think helps readers keep abreast of the most current and important issues of our day. Thank you again, Danielle for inviting me to this party!

BEWARE: lethally seductive alpha male of immense strength and dark eroticism, do not look at him. Do not touch him. Do not be tempted. Do not be seduced.

With his long, black hair and dark, mesmerizing eyes, Adam Black is Trouble with a capital T. Immortal, arrogant, and intensely sensual, he is the consummate seducer, free to roam across time and continents in pursuit of his insatiable desires. That is, until a curse strips him of his immortality and makes him invisible, a cruel fate for so irresistible a man. With his very life at stake, Adam’s only hope for survival is in the hands of the one woman who can actually see him.

Enter law student Gabrielle O’Callaghan, who is cursed with the ability to see both worlds: Mortal and Faery. From the moment she lays eyes on this stunning male, Gabby is certain of one thing: He could be her undoing. Thus begins a long, dangerous seduction. Because despite his powerful strength and unquenchable hungers, Adam refuses to take a woman by force. Instead, he will tease his way into Gabby’s bed and make her want him just as he wants her.

Now, no matter how hard Gabby tries to avoid him, Adam is everywhere, invisible to all but her—perched atop her office cubicle in too-tight jeans, whispering softly from behind the stacks of the law library, stealing her breath away with his knowing smile…all the while tempting her with the promise of unimaginable pleasure in his arms. But soon danger will intrude on this sensual dance. For as Adam’s quest to regain his immortality plunges them into a world of timeless magic and the deadly politics of the Faery queen’s court, the price of surrender could be their very lives. Unless they can thwart the conspiracy that threatens both mortal and Faery realms…and give them a shot at a destiny few mortals ever know: glorious, wondrous, endless love.

  1. I loved Adam Black, he was one of my favorites in that series. I also love anything in Paranormal romance. My favorites are the BDB by JR Ward, Bones and Vlad by Jeaniene Frost, and so many more it would take all day

  3. I read my first Highlander book this past month and loved it. It was called The Highlander's Reward by Eliza Knight. Never knew I would like those books since I am more of a contemporary girl. I also happen to love Texas romance books. I have lived in Illinois my whole life but have family in Texas and love visiting. If I could live anywhere else I think it would be in Texas!

    1. Hi Amy,

I had my first visit to Texas this past year and really liked it. I had fried catfish, fired okra, and fried something else. The sweet tea was too much for me though. I had to go with half and half. Guess I'll never be a real Texan. LOL!

    1. Yes, her Fever series changed how I wrote my sci-fi romance book, Dark Future. After I read the first book in her Fever series I knew, DARK FUTURE had to be written in first person. At the time it was a really hard sell and really not popular in the romance genre, but in the end the book was written the way it was suppose to be written. Thanks for the comment. :)

  6. OMG, the only way Adam Black could have been sexier was to have been a cowboy. I was always sad that cowboys never wore kilts. I love books where the jilted heroine comes back and makes the hero grovel for a bit. Sounds like you have a winner.

    1. HA! Adam Black as a cowboy. That I would love to read. :) There is lots of groveling in TEXAS WIDE OPEN. I do love to torture my characters. HeHe. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Yes! Glad someone has my book on their "to check out" list. That is always a good feeling. I think you have to mix it up a bit. I love romance, but I find I need to cross genres a bit myself. Really, a good book no matter what genre is a good book. I hope you win also!

Also, I love the fact that you write romance and sci-fi. I enjoy both genres so I will have to grab your books for my kindle:)))

    1. Hi Cindi,

I cut my teeth on movies like Terminator and Aliens. (I was the only girl with two brothers.)I always found it hard to get a good sci-fi story with a female lead and forget about finding one with a good love story. So all my sci-fi's are primarily romances. To me if there isn't a happy-ever-after than forget it. :)

    1. Hi Lisa,
Yes, isn't Diane great. She was my mentor for the RT/Brava Writing With The Stars contest. My debut manuscript made it to the finals, and she helped me set up my first blog tour. A few years later I emailed her and asked if she'd be willing to give me a cover quote. She was really great about it.

Really, I cross genres a lot. Some of my fav authors are historical authors, but I never felt qualified enough to write a historical. LOL!

Living in Texas I love reading books based around here. You would think I wouldn't because half the time they are way off base but it is still fun. And I love the title of this one.
