KC Klein has lived most of her life with her head in the clouds and her nose buried in a book. She did stop reading long enough to make a home with a real life hero, her husband, for over sixteen years. A mother of two children, she spends her time slaying dragons, saving princesses, and championing the belief in the happily-ever-after. Her debut novel, Dark Future, is a finalist in the 2012 Prism contest and has been honored with a reviewer’s choice award. Her other titles include a science fiction romance anthology, Hotter on the Edge, and a new contemporary romance, Texas Wide Open. KC loves to hear from readers and can be found desperately pounding away on her laptop in yoga pants and leopard slippers or more conveniently at www.kckleinbooks.com.

My favorite boyfriend book is Adam Black from Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander Series. The book The Immortal Highlander features Adam Black who is the world’s most die-hard bad boy. I love everything Moning puts out, but The Immortal Highlander cinched the deal in making her an “auto-buy” for me. I have a hardcover that I am willing to send to a winner anywhere in the continent US. I know once you’ve read The Immortal Highlander, Adam Black will become your most fav book boyfriend also.
I encourage stalking in all forms, but FB and Twitter are the most effective. I also have a blog, Romance With An Edge, that I like to think helps readers keep abreast of the most current and important issues of our day. Thank you again, Danielle for inviting me to this party!
BEWARE: lethally seductive alpha male of immense strength and dark eroticism, do not look at him. Do not touch him. Do not be tempted. Do not be seduced.
With his long, black hair and dark, mesmerizing eyes, Adam Black is Trouble with a capital T. Immortal, arrogant, and intensely sensual, he is the consummate seducer, free to roam across time and continents in pursuit of his insatiable desires. That is, until a curse strips him of his immortality and makes him invisible, a cruel fate for so irresistible a man. With his very life at stake, Adam’s only hope for survival is in the hands of the one woman who can actually see him.
Enter law student Gabrielle O’Callaghan, who is cursed with the ability to see both worlds: Mortal and Faery. From the moment she lays eyes on this stunning male, Gabby is certain of one thing: He could be her undoing. Thus begins a long, dangerous seduction. Because despite his powerful strength and unquenchable hungers, Adam refuses to take a woman by force. Instead, he will tease his way into Gabby’s bed and make her want him just as he wants her.
Now, no matter how hard Gabby tries to avoid him, Adam is everywhere, invisible to all but her—perched atop her office cubicle in too-tight jeans, whispering softly from behind the stacks of the law library, stealing her breath away with his knowing smile…all the while tempting her with the promise of unimaginable pleasure in his arms. But soon danger will intrude on this sensual dance. For as Adam’s quest to regain his immortality plunges them into a world of timeless magic and the deadly politics of the Faery queen’s court, the price of surrender could be their very lives. Unless they can thwart the conspiracy that threatens both mortal and Faery realms…and give them a shot at a destiny few mortals ever know: glorious, wondrous, endless love.

I loved Adam Black, he was one of my favorites in that series. I also love anything in Paranormal romance. My favorites are the BDB by JR Ward, Bones and Vlad by Jeaniene Frost, and so many more it would take all day
ReplyDeleteA girl after my own heart. :) Adam Black is the best. Moning was a huge influence for me as a writer. Also, like you, my list could go on and on. Thanks for the comment.
DeleteI also I loved the Highlander series and Jericho Barrons also of course. You are a new author to me and I look forward to checking out your books. Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteLove LOVED! Jericho Barrons. Have you read her latest ICED? I hope you enjoy the book. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
DeleteI read my first Highlander book this past month and loved it. It was called The Highlander's Reward by Eliza Knight. Never knew I would like those books since I am more of a contemporary girl. I also happen to love Texas romance books. I have lived in Illinois my whole life but have family in Texas and love visiting. If I could live anywhere else I think it would be in Texas!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
DeleteI had my first visit to Texas this past year and really liked it. I had fried catfish, fired okra, and fried something else. The sweet tea was too much for me though. I had to go with half and half. Guess I'll never be a real Texan. LOL!
I love highlander series! :) So totally agree with your choices!
ReplyDeleteYep, highlanders are YUM! I am partial to cowboys also though. :)
DeleteI have not read her highlander series, but I did read the fever series. I love my highlanders though mm read a book here and there. I'm sure Adam is swoon worthy <3
ReplyDeleteYes, her Fever series changed how I wrote my sci-fi romance book, Dark Future. After I read the first book in her Fever series I knew, DARK FUTURE had to be written in first person. At the time it was a really hard sell and really not popular in the romance genre, but in the end the book was written the way it was suppose to be written. Thanks for the comment. :)
DeleteOMG, the only way Adam Black could have been sexier was to have been a cowboy. I was always sad that cowboys never wore kilts. I love books where the jilted heroine comes back and makes the hero grovel for a bit. Sounds like you have a winner.
ReplyDeleteHA! Adam Black as a cowboy. That I would love to read. :) There is lots of groveling in TEXAS WIDE OPEN. I do love to torture my characters. HeHe. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteThanks for the fun post! The Immortal Highlander was my gateway into PNR :)
ReplyDeleteFunny, my also. I read more historicals before then. Moning did a real good job of blending the two together.
DeleteI have your book on my list to check out. I like to read from different genres and I'm just starting to get into cowboy romances. Love alpha men in any genre!! lol I would love to win it! I absolutely love KMM's Immortal Highlander. Thanks for the giveaway. DaMaris dsr002(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteYes! Glad someone has my book on their "to check out" list. That is always a good feeling. I think you have to mix it up a bit. I love romance, but I find I need to cross genres a bit myself. Really, a good book no matter what genre is a good book. I hope you win also!
DeleteHighlanders and Cowboys! My kind of girl! adding you to my TBR pile!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Thank you. Yes, truly what better combo is there than cowboys and highlanders? Oh, maybe chocolate and wine. :)
DeleteHighlanders, cowboys, and kilts. Oh my!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes I think Moning and I should get together and write a book. LOL! Heck, she could write it and just put my name on the cover under hers. I'd take that. :)
DeleteOH! Love me some Cowboys! Definitely want to read Cole and Katie's story!! The boy next door gets me every time! (Especially if hes also a cowboy!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it. I really fell in love with the idea of a young fearless girl who would go after what she wanted and a tough cowboy who never expected anything good out of life. I just put those two people together and watched the sparks fly. :)
DeleteYou have great taste in book boyfriends! Adam Black is seriously yummy! I've added your book to my TBR list. It's been awhile since I've read a good cowboy story. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, hopefully I won't disappoint. My second Texas Fever book will be out in Dec. So feel free to keep your eyes open for that one. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
DeleteHmmm. I would have to say that, so far, Roarke, from JD Robb's In Death series is the hottest guy yet. But then again, I haven't read Highlander so I may change my mind;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the fact that you write romance and sci-fi. I enjoy both genres so I will have to grab your books for my kindle:)))
Hi Cindi,
DeleteI cut my teeth on movies like Terminator and Aliens. (I was the only girl with two brothers.)I always found it hard to get a good sci-fi story with a female lead and forget about finding one with a good love story. So all my sci-fi's are primarily romances. To me if there isn't a happy-ever-after than forget it. :)
Adam was my favorite out of the books I read in that series. I loved how the book ended and the conversation he had at the end.
ReplyDeleteKC your book looks great.
Hi Lori,
DeleteNow you have me wanting to go back and re-read the ending. For the life of me I can't remember. Guess that is what happens when you get older. LOL!
Adam Black is, indeed, one of my favorite book boyfriends!
ReplyDeleteHe was such a great and complex hero, wasn't he? I was totally rooting for them both til the very end. :)
DeleteI can't wait to read about Adam Black, thanks for the heads up. Very nice quote from Diane Whiteside regarding Texas Wide Open. lisagk(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
DeleteYes, isn't Diane great. She was my mentor for the RT/Brava Writing With The Stars contest. My debut manuscript made it to the finals, and she helped me set up my first blog tour. A few years later I emailed her and asked if she'd be willing to give me a cover quote. She was really great about it.
I'm intrigued that your book boyfriend is from the paranormal genre, yet the book you've written is a Western. Which genre do you prefer reading more?
ReplyDeleteGreat question.
DeleteReally, I cross genres a lot. Some of my fav authors are historical authors, but I never felt qualified enough to write a historical. LOL!
Lol that makes sense!
DeleteI haven't read any of your books so look forward to adding them to my TBR stack.
ReplyDeleteGreat, I hope you do. Happy reading!
DeleteI haven't read either of those, but I would like to! I love me some highlander romances! Jamie Fraser from Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is my very favorite book boyfriend!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
mestith at gmail dot com
Hi Meghan,
DeleteOh...Oh...Jamie Frazier. Yep, he broke my teenage heart. I remember first reading Outlander in high-school. Ruined me for any other guy, hands down. :)
Really really want you read this book so i'm off to have a look for the series on amazon uk. Thanks for the giveaway x
ReplyDeleteWell, awesome. I hope you found it. I haven't checked to see if my books are on Amazon uk. I would love to know. Please keep me posted if you would like. kckleinbooksATgmailDOTcom
DeleteTexas Wide Open sounds like a great read!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Glad you entered Natasha. I hope you get the chance to read Texas Wide Open. Let me know. :)
DeleteHighlanders & Texans - both wonderful options!
ReplyDeleteYep, can't go wrong with either in my opinion. I'm also partial to space captains and rogue pirates. LOL!
DeleteOooh, love your boyfriend choice. I love Adam, and Dageus and Drustan....the list of kilted (at times) men and fae go on and on in the KMM world.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read KMM's Highlander series yet, but her Barron's from the Fever series is my main book boyfriend!! Looking forward to reading Texas Wide Open. Thanks for sharing your book-loves with us all :)
ReplyDeleteI have never read Karen Marie Moning before. I think I really need to read her books.
ReplyDeleteooh - I LOVED the part where 1 of the twins makes Adam visible - then the other one grumbles - what HAVE you done??
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is possible for KMM to write a bad book!
ReplyDeleteLiving in Texas I love reading books based around here. You would think I wouldn't because half the time they are way off base but it is still fun. And I love the title of this one.
I haven't read KMM before, but I know she's quite popular. I tend to read historicals and contemporaries.
ReplyDeleteThe Immortal Highlander sounds sooo good, it is now on my TBR list!!
ReplyDeleteI love Charles from the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs.
ReplyDeletemythic021@gmail.com
I'm a fan of Karen's Fae series, so it's great to see that Immortal Highlander is good too! Definitely on my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Leanne
These sound like great books.
ReplyDeleteThese books sound fantastic. Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteYour a new to me author and I can't wait to get my hands on this book. I have yet to read anything by Karen Marie Moning, but I really need to fix that!!!
