Meet Annie Seaton, author of Hot Rock.
Annie Seaton lives on the beautiful east coast of Australia, where she loves sitting in her writing chair, gazing at the ocean and writing stories. She has always been fascinated by romance and has found her niche writing contemporary romance.
Her debut novel, Holiday Affair, a contemporary romance set in the South Pacific was released as part of Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence line in March. The sequel Italian Affair was published Spring 2013, followed quickly by Outback Affair,Dangerous Desire and Tangling with the CEO!
Blind Lust, is one of Annie's favorite novels. Despite the title...it is a sweet romance about a witch and her difficult choice between two men.

What are your favorite types of heroes to write about and why?
My heroes must have a hint of vulnerability and the ability to laugh when the going gets tough. For some reason, many of my heroes begin the story a little tortured and I guess that contributes to the vulnerability that I like to see in them. They must always be tall, dark and handsome. I love my bad boys so he must have a quite a bit of bad boy in him. And a rock star bad boy was so much fun to write!
Physical appearance...muscular arms and a six pack to go with it... oh... and thighs are a given...he must have muscular legs too! For some reason I always seem to write blue or green eyes.
Personality...a little aloof to begin with, a love of wining and fine dining, and a sense of humour. Davy finds a particularly fine bottle of wine in Hot Rock.
Who are some of your favorite rock gods/musicians, why?
For me growing up in the seventies was the beginning of a love affair with seventies music.
And that was why I set Hot Rock in that era. For me it was a love of glam rock in my teens and the memories of the posters on the bedroom walls. I loved the outrageous clothes, makeup, hairstyles, and platform-soled boots. The flamboyant lyrics, costumes, and visual styles of glam performers appealed to me with the wonderful guitar sounds and the rock stars who produced them.
David Bowie was my hero, David Essex gave me the delicious shivers, Peter Frampton’s voice and lyrics made me tremble and Bruce Springsteen...well everyone knows why he is such an amazing rock star. Don’t they?
I actually had the amazing experience of seeing Bruce Springsteen live on his recent Australian tour and he still has it! That elusive magic is still there.
Five fun facts about the book.
I spent a lot of time doing the research and the following was based on fact:
- The milk donated from the Worthy Farm.
- The order of the performances of the bands.
- The dowsing rods to position the stage
- They pyramid stage really existed.
- David Bowie actually performed at Glastonbury 1971.
Megan Miller is on a dream trip to research her doctoral thesis at a rock festival in England. When she arrives in town she’s stunned that her temporary neighbor is the spitting image of her 70’s rock idol, too bad he’s also a world-class jerk. So why can't she stop thinking about him?
Seventies rock star Davy Morgan is a man with a secret: rockin’ in one time and living in another. He holds his privacy close to his heart, so when a beautiful girl who not only loves but truly understands his music moves in next door, he works overtime to keep her at a distance. Easier said than done.
Megan follows Davy to the rock festival, but it’s not what or when it seems. The lure of the music draws them closer, but can their newfound love span across the decades, or will it get lost in time?
