Jennifer Malone Wright resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children. Between the craziness of taking care of her children, whose ages range from fifteen all the way down to one year, and being a homemaker, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on freelance work or her beloved fiction.When she grew up, Jennifer always had her nose in a book. She has been writing stories and poems since grade school. This love of the written word and her strong interest in the paranormal is what has led to her first novel “The Birth of Jaiden.”
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Jennifer is also a very proud military wife. Moving around the country for the last eleven years has made her a bit of a nomad and she finds it difficult to be in one place for too long.

First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
My name is Jennifer Malone Wright. I am the author of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter series and The Birth of Jaiden, my full length vampire/paranormal novel. I am a mother of five crazy children, wife of an awesome man, and lover of all things books. I have moved around a lot because my husband has been in the military for the last 11 years, but now we live in the mountains of northern Idaho. It’s very beautiful here, but winters suck
Did you always want to be a writer?
I think I did, you know…right after I finished wanting to be a princess.
What kind of writer are you? Panster or Plotter?
I have always been a Panster, but I am learning to be a plotter by force. My homeschooled kid is using my computer all the time, so I’m forced to write down my ideas and outlines.
Where do your ideas come from?
I get ideas from everything. Anything can bring on an idea for me, pictures, beautiful scenery, smells…the possibilities are endless.
A la Twitter style, can you describe your book (or series) in 140 characters or less.
The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter is a short story series about a girl named Chloe who witnesses her mother’s murder by vampires and is rescued by vampire hunters and vows to avenge her mother’s death.
Out of any of your books, which one would you like to be a character in? And why?
I would love to be Chloe from The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Right now she is kind of awkward and a teenager. But I would love to be born a vampire hunter and have special powers, be able to kick some butt, and have a couple of cute guys around me all the time.
What are some of your favorite kinds of stories to read?
My favorite books to read are paranormal and fantasy, but I’ll read anything. Lol
Do you have a favorite book and if so what is it?
I do not have a favorite book, only because I could never choose. There are so many wonderful books out there. I have the same problem with music, I can never pick a favorite song.
Have you ever fallen for another author's hero? If so, who and why?
Hmmm, honestly. I don’t get book crushes. I get T.V crushes (Mmm, Eric Northman) but I don’t really do that in books.
Describe the characteristics that make up your perfect hero.
A perfect hero would be hot, very muscular, a little moody but nice to me, know how to fix stuff, and always be at the right place at the right time when the lady (me) is in trouble.
What are the scenes that are the hardest for you to write?
The hardest scenes for me to write are the dialog scenes because they are boring. I like action, so I write it better.
If you could have dinner with any three book characters, who would you choose and why?
I would love to have dinner with Lestat, because…um, it’s Lestat, and he would probably prove to be pretty entertaining to have to dinner. I would also love to have dinner with Eric Northman, because I would like to hear stories about his Viking days. And finally, I would like to have dinner with Jace, because he is a pretty funny guy and I like humor.
If you could have dinner with any three authors, who would you choose and why?
I would choose, Anne Rice, Stephenie Meyer, and Charlaine Harris, just because they are well known vampire writers and their vampires are all different, so I would love to see them battle that one out. Lol, call me dramatic, but I’m not gonna choose someone boring so we can sit there and chew our food with nothing to talk about.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Lol, I have five kids! What free time? Seriously, I like to go out with my husband and do stuff outside. I also enjoy watching my shows on TV and making scarves for friends.
Favorite movie?
I don’t have a favorite movie. I’m such a lover of film that I couldn't possibly choose. One of my all time favorite is Labyrinth (sweet I spelled that right on the first try!)
Favorite song?
Again…to many to choose but I’ll tell ya my current fave, Rolling in the Deep by Adele and 9 Crimes by Damien Rice, the True Blood version of it.
Favorite color?
Today my favorite color is teal. Quite often it’s purple.
Last question, are you working on anything right now?
My current project is finishing up The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Part Six. Hoping to be done pretty soon for it to head off to editing.
When Chloe wakes, she comes face to face with the only other living relative, besides her mother, whom she has ever met: her grandfather. Chloe’s mother kept her hidden from the family; now, Chloe tries to unveil the family secrets.
Through her grandfather, she learns her mother was a vampire hunter. In fact, her entire family is descended from the powerful bloodlines of vampire hunters. Chloe agrees to join the family she has never known for one reason only: Chloe vows to kill the vampire responsible for her mother’s murder.
With vengeance in her soul, Chloe is even more determined to follow through on her vow when she discovers the true identity of her enemy and how he is connected to her.
