Feature and Giveaway: A Season For Sin by Vicky Dreiling

Introducing the Sinful Scoundrels...

The Earl of Bellingham is nothing is not a creature of habit: money, meals, and mistresses must be strictly managed if a man is to have a moment's peace. It's a system that works splendidly for him--until now. With his oldest and dearest friends succumbing, one by one, to wedded bliss, Bell is now restless and a trifle lonely. Enter the Sinful Scoundrels--Colin Brockhurst, Earl of Ravenshire, and Harry Norcliffe, Viscount Evermore--who drag him back into society and draw his rakish eye to the ton's new beautiful young widow. Bell isn't after a wife, but a challenge. And Laura Davenport should fit the bill quite nicely...

  2. I've always enjoyed short stories and novellas, they're great for those times I don't have a lot of time but want to read a complete story. And they're great for getting a taste of an author's work, especially in anthologies.

  3. I also enjoy reading novellas. It's a great (inexpensive) way to try out an author's work.

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  5. Some of my favorite books have been novellas. They're perfect for when I don't feel like reading a long drawn out story.

  6. I prefer a full length story; cos I like a longer story! Tho I have read a few novellas that felt very complete & not in the least rushed.

  7. I love novellas. They are shorter reads and get to the good stuff quicker. I also like them because sometimes they are that inbetween story, sometimes you need a fix befor the next full length story. They also give some of the secondary their story and HEA. Thanks for the giveaway. Big fan of vicki's and her great stories.

  9. I have a love/hate relationship with novellas, I love having something I can read from start to finish in a short amount of time. I hate that it is so easy to do them badly. It's easy with a novella to leave out to much just to rush to the end.On the other hand when done well they give you that HEA fix in a shorter time frame and sometimes you just need that. Thanks Carin

  10. FYI: A SEASON FOR SIN is a prequel to a new series that I have coming out in spring 2013. I wanted to give readers an advance glimpse of the new characters and how they meet while I was writing the full length novels in my upcoming SINFUL SCOUNDRELS series. It takes much longer to produce the full length novels. This particular e-novella ends on a hook rather than the usual Happily Ever After, because that occurs in the full length book. Anyway, just so you know what to expect. I had a lot of fun writing the e-novella and hope you all will enjoy it. Best of all, it's only $.99. :-)

  11. I like them, but it depends on the story sometimes they are a waste and you think what the heck and others they are just the topping you needed.

  12. I like novellas... they feel like a much needed break after reading a more lengthy story. I do think sometimes they aren't long enough depending on the kind of story since some should be longer, but I do still really enjoy them.

  13. I have no problem with them if they are a great story

  14. I absolutely love novellas. I read a lot of them in anthologies and have in fact discovered some of my fav authors this way! It is also a great way for an author to tell a short story about a character in another book or series that is not a main but whose story is clamoring to be let out...

  15. Hi everyone! Before I was an author I used to really like to read the Christmas novellas. I think it was partly because they came out during the holidays when I was so busy and didn't have as much time to read. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

  16. Love them! I think they can add to series and bring characters into light that wouldn't have been otherwise.

  17. I think novella's kind of whet the appetite for more. I also think they are great if you want to try out a new author that you aren't quite sure about.

  21. I love novellas. Especially when it's about a character I feel didn't get enough story time. I also like the fact that they are quick and easy to read, so I can manage to read it while riding in the car!

  22. I love Novellas. I usually get them when they correspond with a series I am following...as long as they are not astronomically priced anyway. They usually add a little something extra!

  23. I'm on the fence - I've read really good and really bad ones - just like any other type of book. I think it just depends on how good the writing is.

  24. I like Novellas. They get to the point. No stupid and not needed filler. But that just means that the author must be really talented!

  26. I don't mind novellas if it's a good story. Sometimes there just what I need when I don't have a whole lot of time and just need something to fill a short period.
