Just Another Wedding – Part Six
A romance serial based on Alien Adoration

Four orgasms. Three used condoms. And one long nap. Though now that he’d opened his eyes, Bill couldn’t get back to sleep. At this time back in Hanton, he would be out jogging the streets with his cop buddies. Now, even with the sexy, naked woman beside him, his mind focused on the need to feed his rumbling stomach.

Slipping from the arms of his most adventurous lover, he left the bed and collected his clothes off the floor. He ducked into the bathroom to relieve himself then dressed in his suit from the night before, tucking the tie into his pocket.

With one last glance at the beautiful woman who’d invited him into her bed, he left the room, hoping the hotel had a continental breakfast.

***

Pepper rolled over, stretching her muscles, tired from a night of the most amazing sex ever. Bill. Oh shit! She turned to the other side of the bed, but found it empty. He’d already left. A glance around the room confirmed it, his clothes gone, too.

Disappointment clutched her gut. She’d known all along their time together would end like this. Though she couldn’t deny the hope for something more. One-night stands and casual dating were no longer enough. With no husband, or even a serious boyfriend, each passing day filled her heart with more loneliness. Her parents, after thirty years of marriage, were still unbelievably blissful, as were her recently married friends. Would she ever find the same happiness?

She slid off the bed, swallowing her pride. It’s my own fault. I need to start looking for the right guy. Not the right now guy.

With a heavy sigh, she plodded to the bathroom. Why can’t I have both in the same person? Because keepers don’t sleep with someone they’d just met. She knew that, and yet she’d still invited Bill up. Maybe at another time and place, the night may have gone differently. If he hadn’t been fresh out of a divorce.

A knock sounded at her door. Shit. Housekeeping already? She hadn’t meant to sleep so late. But after an all night session with Bill, she’d forgotten to set her alarm. The shower would have to wait until she arrived home.

She grabbed a robe and wrapped it around herself. Hopefully, she’d at least be able to change before they kicked her out.

Opening the door, she held her breath, prepared to argue for that one concession.

“Good morning, sleepy head.” Bill waltzed into the room, his arms filled with food. “I didn’t know what you wanted for breakfast, so I brought a variety of things.”

Tears pooled in the corners of her eyes. Her heart swelled. “You...you came back?”

He furrowed his brows. “Of course I did. I just needed something to eat, especially if we go another round or two. I know you said you were buying, but I thought it might be more intimate up here.”

She chuckled, wiping her tears. “I don’t think we’ll have time. I have to check out soon.”

“Oh.” He frowned. “Well, maybe you’d like to come back to my place? Hanton is only a half hour away. That is, if you don’t already have plans.”

She shook her head. “No. No plans. I just didn’t think this would go beyond the hotel. I thought once you’d left, I’d never see you again.”

After setting the food on the wooden desk, he turned and faced her, looking as vulnerable as he had last night when he realized his mistake. “I’m sorry. I thought... never mind.” He headed for the door. “Goodbye, Pepper. Thanks for last night.”

“No!” She rushed to him, grabbing his arm. “I do want more. It’s just that when I woke and you weren’t here....”

Pulling her against him, he held her tight, pressing his lips to hers. She moaned at the sweet invasion, and the taste of a chocolate chip muffin. Gripping his ass, she felt the swell of his cock against her stomach. Ready to go all over again.

But he pulled away, leaving her breathless.

“You’d better get dressed and eat before it’s too late. I’ll pay for the extra night if you don’t check out in time. Though I’m really anxious to get you into my bed.”

Sweet and sexy, and God, she wanted him. She expected last night to be just another wedding. Yet, with Bill, it turned out to be so much more. Perhaps she’d finally found her keeper? Only time would tell.

Erotic dreams fill her with need…

Night after night, Rachel fantasizes about her sexy, playboy neighbor. But in her small town, no one changes, least of all the bad boy next door. But when Luke rescues her not once but twice from disastrous dates, she dares to believe her knight in black leather armor may be the right man for her after all.

Until she learns the truth...

Life on Earth has never been easy for Luke. Stranded as a little boy, he struggled to craft an existence for himself, but he never forgot the first human he met--and he never stopped wanting to see her again. Returning to Hanton, Luke longs for Rachel. Yet, nothing goes as he plans, and Rachel barely notices him. Convincing her he isn't like all the jerks she's dated means telling her the truth, but can she handle it?

Can she overcome her fears, or will she deny her alien adoration and leave him stranded once more?

“Need a lift?”

The voice was deep and masculine, one she didn’t hear very often, but would recognize anywhere. Luke. Wonderful! He wouldn’t talk to me before, but now that I’m topless and sopping wet, he notices me.

She circled slowly to stare at the leather-clad figure sitting atop his motorcycle. The visor of his helmet covered most of his face, leaving only his luscious lips and deep, jutting chin, covered in light stubble, exposed. What would they feel like against her lips? Between her legs? Her body tingled.

“Earth to Rachel. Do you need a lift, or should I leave you here in the pouring rain?”

Oh God, he knows my name. Since they’d never actually talked—she’d only heard him greeting his dates—her name on his lips came as a surprise. “Um, yes, I’d appreciate a ride.” On his Harley, and if she was lucky, in his bed. Anywhere. Her romance-first rule didn’t apply to him. He’d already seduced her plenty in her dreams.

Remaining on his bike, he yanked a helmet from his saddlebag and held it out to her. “What happened to your pretty blouse?”

Pretty blouse? He’d seen her earlier? “I….” Fluttering rolled through her stomach. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

She grabbed the helmet from him, fit it over her soaked hair, and buckled the chinstrap. Straddling the seat behind him, she fumbled with her hands, wondering where to place them, no bar behind her to hold on to. Oh, what it would be like to wrap her arms around him, lean against his wide back covered in leather. But what if he didn’t want her to touch him?

Luke pushed off from the curb. “I suggest you hold onto me or you’re going to fall off.”

The bike lurched forward with a roar. She clasped her hands around his waist, her fingers coming together temptingly close to his manhood, cheek pressed to his cowskin jacket. His deep chuckle reverberated across her skin.

“I told you to hang on.”

And she could lean on him forever. Being so close to him with pure raw power between her legs moved her better than any fantasy she had ever created. But what is going to happen when he takes me home? Or will he invite me to his house instead?

She pressed her lips together. Sure, she wanted to know what lay under his tight pants, but she refused to be another conquest. I can’t handle it.

He drove into her driveway too soon, leaning the bike over enough for her to slip off. She removed the helmet and handed it back to him. “Thank you. I appreciate the ride.”

Tucking the helmet away, he nodded. “You want to come over for coffee?”

That and more. Though she refused to go anywhere in her state of disarray. “Um, no, I’m kind of wet.”

“Another time, then?”

She nodded. Shit, why did I say no? They could strip down together and have all kinds of fun. But he drove away before she had a chance to retract her words.

Check out what's up for grabs.

  1. If it looked like the usual green, big-eyed alien, I'd probably stare at it in disbelief for a few seconds until reality hit and then maybe take some pictures of it so someone would believe me. If it looked like Luke, I'd ask him if he wanted to come in for coffee. :)

  2. Hi Danielle! Thank you so much for hosting me during the Alien Adoration tour!

I hope everyone enjoys the last part of Just Another Wedding. It was a lot of fun to write. :)

  3. I enjoyed both the excerpt and serial. Just Another Wedding was surprisingly sweet. I wouldn't mind a full story on Bill and Pepper. I think I was expecting Alien Adoration (I guess just from the title and perhaps your other stories I am familiar with, because the blurb indicates Luke is here and contemporary) to be more futuristic.

    1. Hi Anne! So glad you enjoyed Just Another Wedding. Though I include hot scenes, I really like to finish with a happily ever after. While I do write futuristic alien romances, I also write those that take place in present day. Because, who knows, aliens might be among us now. ;)

  4. If I looked out my window and saw an Alien I would be very surprised, even though my kids have looked like aliens to me many times!

  5. Thank you for the serial, I enjoy reading about Bill and Pepper. Luke sounds yummy, not what I was expecting. If I saw an alien outside, I think I would have to find someone else to take a look and make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I might remember to take pictures before I freak out.

    1. Thank you very much, Kim! Taking pictures is a great idea, because who would believe an alien was standing on the street. LOL

    1. Hi Rebe! Yes, amazing how looks can make the difference in how we react. As long as it doesn't look like a giant insect or have weapons, I'm good. :-)

  7. LOL not sure...but I guess it would depend on what the alien looked like!

  14. I would have 2 reactions. 1: If he was friendly, I would be very curious and ask him all kinds of questions. 2: I would then want to know if had plans for me and could he take me off in space ship.

  16. So nice to see you on another blog I follow.
The excerpt sounds great. I don't remember reading a book about an alien before so anxious to read this one. Infact the last alien I remember anything about is Alf and I'm probably telling my age ;)
    Thanks,

  17. Hmm...I'm not sure what I would do. If he was a good looking alien maybe I'd ask him in. Lol

  18. I'd probably run right out and try to talk to the alien, especially if he was a great looking male. :D

  19. Wow! An alien out my bedroom window would definitely be a bit shocking. I might stare for awhile and then run downstairs to see what he was doing here in suburbia.
