A Naughty New Year...Brazen Style with Diane Alberts and Giveaway

Diane Alberts is a multi-published, bestselling contemporary romance author with Entangled Publishing. She also writes New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling new adult books under the name Jen McLaughlin. She’s hit the Top 100 lists on Amazon and Barnes and Noble numerous times with numerous titles. She was mentioned in Forbes alongside E. L. James as one of the breakout independent authors to dominate the bestselling lists. Diane is represented by Louise Fury at The Bent Agency.

Diane has always been a dreamer with a vivid imagination, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author. Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, a schnauzer mutt, and a cat. Her goal is to write so many fantastic stories that even a non-romance reader will know her name.

Hello! I’m Diane Alberts (also known as Jen McLaughlin), and I’m here to share a fun, sexy scene from my most recent Brazen characters, Isabelle and Gordon. You can read their full story in their book, SEDUCING THE PRINCESS, which is the third Shillings Agency book.

And now…for the fun part, the scene!

***

Isabelle walked into the bedroom, her head spinning from too much champagne and way too much socializing. Her gold heels were killing her ankles, and she wanted nothing more than to strip everything off and crawl into bed with Gordon.

Speaking of which…

“Gordon? Are you in here?”

Strong arms closed around her from behind, and before she could so much as gasp, she was pressed against a hard, familiar chest. “You’re late, Princess. I told you to be in our room, naked, by eleven forty-five. It’s eleven fifty-nine.”

“I’m sorry.” She licked her parched lips, her stomach tightening in anticipation. “The Prince of—”

“I don’t give a damn who came up to you. I told you to be here…and you weren’t. You know what that means.”

Squeezing her thighs together, she let her lids drift shit. “Y-Yes, sir. What’s my punishment?”

He chuckled, the sound sexy and dominant all at once. His hand drifted down her stomach, and he inched up her dress slowly. Once he had it high enough, he slipped his fingers underneath it and cupped her from behind. “First things first? Kick off those heels. They have to be killing your feet by now.”

A smile tipped up the corners of her lips. He knew her so well… “Yes, sir.” She kicked off her shoes, sinking a good three inches in height. “Thank you.”

“Don’t thank me.” He buried his other hand in her hair, fisting it and yanking gently, and rubbed his thumb over her swollen flesh in slow, lazy circles. “By the time I’m done with you, you’ll be begging for mercy…”

Without another word, he guided her forward by the hair until she bumped against the couch in their sitting room. As soon as it hit her thighs, she bit back a moan. He unzipped her dress, dropping kisses on her bare skin as he went.

Once it fell to her feet, he caressed her ass and then slapped it, once, hard enough to make her tense up, but not hard enough to hurt. “Ass in the air, Princess. It’s time for your punishment…and then your reward…”

Closing her eyes, she gave herself over to him. “What’s the reward for?”

“It’s New Year’s Eve, and I love you. That’s why.” He cupped her ass and kissed the back of her neck. “But we’re not there yet, Belle. First…”

She closed her eyes and shivered. “Do it. I’m ready.”

“Oh, I will.” He smacked her ass, and she bit down on her tongue. “Happy New Year, my love.”

“Happy New Year,” she whispered back.

And then, soon after, she was incapable of talking, or thinking, at all.

Comment below for the chance to win the first two eBooks of the Shillings series, TEMPORARILY YOURS and STEALING HIS HEART. Open world wide.

He'll give her exactly what she needs...

Protecting a princess is not what former marine Gordon Waybrook signed up for when he joined the Shillings Agency. But instead of the spoiled, regal little creature he expects, Isabelle VanGuard is a fiery, sexy-as hell woman who's been denied what she needs for too long. And he's just the man to break through her frozen public facade and give it to her.

When she's with Gordon, all Isabelle can think about is pleasure. Their blistering chemistry is immediate and intense, but volatile. In fact, the only thing they agree on is that their one night together is just that--one night. Even after it becomes more. But tempers and temptation can't disguise reality. Isabelle is a princess, and a hot, hard, and tattooed bodyguard isn't the Prince Charming her country expects...even if he's exactly what she needs.

  4. Thanks for the post and the fun steamy scene! Congratulations on making the Forbes list and your many other accomplishments! :) What are the differences in your books when you write as Jen or as Diane? I was thinking that as Diane they were steamier and as Jen more NA but now I am not sure. I think it is interesting how writers write under different names. :) Thanks for the chance to win!
