How many series do you write?
Right now I’m juggling four series. There’s my X-OPS Series, which pairs military and law enforcement types with various shifters to conduct super dangerous covert operations for a secret organization that doesn’t officially exist.
Then there’s the SWAT Series, which is about a team of sixteen hunky werewolves working as the SWAT team for the Dallas Police Department. SWAT, as in Special Wolf Alpha Team—get it?
There’s also my SEALs of Coronado Series, which follows the adventures and romances of the guys on SEAL Team 5 in San Diego.
Last but not least, is my Dallas Fire and Rescue Series, which focuses on firefighters and paramedics working in…well…Dallas.
While X-OPS and SWAT have a paranormal edge, all of my series are focused on breathtaking action and suspense—with lots of romance, of course!
Did you always want to be a writer?
From the time I was a little kid! I wrote stories about the cats and dogs that I grew up with when I was like six or seven years old! Of course, I was a little confused about the whole gender thing. In my mind, dogs were men and cats were girls. I have no idea why.
If you could have dinner with any three authors, who would you choose and why?
It would be Monet Michaels, Maddy Barone, and Rachel Rivers. Besides being great writers, these three authors are some of my closest friends, and any time we get to go to a conference together, we always try to hang out. They’re my besties and my writer support system!
Do you have a favorite book?
Wow…that’s tough! It likely changes over time, but right now I would have to say the Imperfect Series, by Mary Frame. It’s a new adult series that just speaks to me! I eagerly await the next book in the series and jump on it the second it comes out…even if I have writing deadlines!
What’s next for you?
Lots and lots of writing! With four series and several individual projects going, I write seven days a week. I’m working on the third book in my SEALs of Coronado Series—Texas SEAL (availably for pre-order now). Then I’ll start the seventh book in my SWAT Series. No title for that one yet, but it’s due to the publisher on the 15th of January, so maybe I should get moving on it. In between those books, I’ll still be doing the edits for Book 6 of my SWAT and Book 7 of my X-OPS Series.
Oh yeah, and just for fun I’m working on a serialized New Adult Series (is that redundant?) with two other amazing authors—Mary Frame and Donna Michaels. It’s going to be a three book set that follows three sorority sisters through their adventures and romances at college. I’m really excited to be writing in something that has such a completely different style than I’m used to.
