I have never been on a blind date, have you? I’m not sure I’d have the guts! I suppose a lot of e-dating (Tinder, dating sites, etc.) these days is somewhat blind, but not totally if you’ve at least been chatting online. (Wow, can you tell I’ve been married for 26 years? And yes, I was a child bride.)

I love the idea of blind book dating! Let’s see if you can guess which book I’d go on a date with!
  1. Historical romance!
  2. Part of a series, but it’s, ahem, the best one.
  3. The hero is a total scoundrel, even a villain in the prior book.
  4. The heroine is shy and has the WORST family.
  5. The hero is a nobleman but also has a job.
  6. The hero and heroine are married.
  7. I’ve read this approximately 300 times. (I might be exaggerating. Might not.)
  8. This book has a sequel about their son.
  9. This book is on a lot of keeper shelves, so you’ve probably already guessed it by now, but if not...
  10. The sex is so scorching, my copy just sits on the shelf and smolders.

Whether you guess the book or not, I’m giving away TWO ebook copies of my latest release from The Untouchables series, THE DUKE OF RUIN! Comment to be entered to win. Contest is open internationally.

And, whether you guess the book or not, I’m sure you know what it is. Have you read it? Is it on your keeper shelf???

With her betrothal to a duke in tatters and scandal imminent, Diana Kingman has two choices: live in certain ignominy or flee into obscurity. Diana wants solitude. She never wished to wed in the first place. However, her father will stop at nothing to betroth her to one of the finest titles in the realm…no matter how loathsome the bearer. Escape is Diana’s only option, and she’ll pay any price to achieve freedom.

Universally blamed for the death of his wife and unborn child, Simon Hastings doesn’t dispute his guilt over an accident he cannot even remember. He hasn’t had a drink since, nor a moment’s peace. Determined to be a better man, Simon rescues a young woman in need—only to be accused of kidnapping. They must marry to save him from prison. But how can a man haunted by the love he lost and a woman afraid to get too close find happiness together?

  2. I was on a blind date once....36 years ago, when I was 17. I didn't even know I was going on it until my guy friend picked me up and told me "Oh, by the way, you're going to be Dave's date today.". I was ready to kill him. Needless to say, the date was fun. Seven years later we got got married. Almost 29 years of marriage and 3 daughters later, I don't regret it at all.

As for the book....my first thought was Skye O'Malley, but nobody would classify her as shy!

    1. Ha! No, not shy. I read that book a million years ago when I was probably far too young to be reading a book like that. ;-)

It sounds like a Johanna Lindsey book one of the Mallory books perhaps?
