Review: Till Death Us Do Part by Cristina Slough

Till Death Us Do Part is Cristina Slough's debut novel, so I really had no idea what to expect here. While I did think that this story had potential, ultimately this one wasn't for me. The blurb really caught my attention, but between the story and writing style this book wasn't what I had been expecting at all. I think that there are some readers that will enjoy this story, and it is very possible this one was just not for me personally.

Mimi and Joel have just been married, and they know that as soon as the honeymoon is over Joel will deploy to Afghanistan. Though Joel promises to come back to her, Mimi soon receives word that Joel is dead. Needing to find closure, Mimi heads to Texas where Joel's estranged brother Austin lives. Soon Mimi grows closer to Austin, and she learns that Joel isn't the man she thought he was. Just as Mimi is finally ready to move on with her life, Joel returns and her world is once again turned upside down. But not only is Joel back from the dead, he has a secret that will shatter everything he and Mimi once had.

I don't want to get into the characters too much here, because I don't want to spoil everything for those that might be interested in reading this book. But just as Mimi learned that Joel wasn't who she thought he was, the reader does as well. While I found some of it to be believable, some of it wasn't for me. The man he was later on in the book was so different from the man we first met, and while I do think part of that was real, there were some things that just felt completely out of character. I liked Mimi well enough, but I didn't feel connected to her. While I was interested to see what would happen, I just didn't feel fully invested in her story. Same with Austin. I liked him and there was so much more to the story than we had been lead to believe from Joel, but I just never truly felt like I was in this one. It felt as though I was removed completely and as though I was an outsider looking in. I wanted to really feel emotionally connected here, and I just wasn't able to. I think part of that was the writing style here. It just wasn't for me and often felt choppy. I think that because it was so choppy it was hard for me to get into the story as I might have been able to otherwise.

The other thing that bothered me was the ending here. I won't go into details or spoil anything, but as much as I struggled throughout the book I had really been hoping for an ending that would have made that struggle worth it. For me, this ending wasn't that at all. It wasn't satisfying and I was really disappointed with how things turned out. I respect the author and her vision, but personally had I known the way things would go I would never have started this book. To me it wasn't a romance, and it honestly felt like a lot of what happened here was done for shock value. It just didn't fully ring true to me with the rest of the book, and I wish that I had known ahead of time and saved myself the time. I do think that there are readers out there that will enjoy this story, and I if it sounds like something you are interested in you should give it a shot. Just because this book wasn't for me doesn't mean that it won't be for everyone.

ARC Review: Bad Boys Need Love Too by Christa Tomlinson

After reading and enjoying The Sergeant by Christa Tomlinson, I knew that I wanted to read more from her. So when I got the chance to read Bad Boys Need Love Too, I knew I had to read it. I have become a huge M/M fan over the last couple years, and Christa Tomlinson's books are ones that I have really enjoyed. I think that if you are new to the genre or looking for a good M/M story, that you should definitely give her a shot.

When Joseph Naderi needs some work done on his bike, he takes it to a shop recommended to him by a friend. He gets off on the wrong foot with the owner, but the attraction between them is instant. Gage Mason wasn't looking for anything serious, but he couldn't help but feel drawn to Joseph. Joseph and Gage start things off casual, but before long Joseph is no longer happy with sharing Gage. Gage doesn't do relationships though, and refuses to tie himself down to one person after things from his past. But when Joseph tells him that he either needs to commit or walk away, can Gage let him go or will he take a chance on something more?

I really liked Gage and Joseph. I will admit that Gage frustrated me at times though. He was a sexy alpha used to getting what he wanted with little to no effort. He had made things happen for himself after a tough childhood, and I liked how successful he was all on his own. But he was also a jerk at times and to start with he didn't treat Joseph that well. I could see what was going on in his head, but yet I wanted him to get his act together faster. Joseph was a great guy and he was just looking for a relationship with the guy that made him happy. I felt like he put up with a lot from Gage, and he even let him get away with a few things that he shouldn't have in my opinion. But I could also see the feelings that he had for Gage, and I really did feel like they belonged together so I found myself rooting for them despite any of the bad stuff. These two had a ton of chemistry and attraction from the very start, and that was never the issue between them. But I did enjoy seeing them learn to support one another and watching as their emotional connection continued to deepen as well.

The one thing that I will say about both books I have read of Christa Tomlinson's now is that they were both really long and had a lot of sex to them. Neither is a problem for me, but I can see how some people will not enjoy that as much as I do. Honestly in both books, they could have easily been shortened and some things left completely out and it would have been fine. But I do enjoy getting to see more of these characters and find myself enjoying the extra pages. I think that Christa is a great writer, and I think that she does the steamy stuff really well. Her books are hot, and that makes all the sex in them more than worth it! I think if you are looking for a super sexy and steamy M/M read that you should definitely give this one a shot as well as others by Christa Tomlinson as well. I can't wait to see what she writes next, and I really would love to see more from some of the secondary characters in this book especially Max.

Review: Scarred by Love by C.A. Harms

Scarred by Love is the first book that I have read by C.A. Harms, and it is also the first book in her Scarred by Love series. I was really drawn to this one by the blurb and the cover, and couldn't wait to read Riley and Zander's story. I did have some things about this story that didn't work for me, but yet I also had a lot that I really liked as well. I am pretty torn on how to rate this one, which is why I ended up in the middle with 3 stars. I think that a lot of people will really enjoy this story, but I also think that there are others that will have the same problems that I did with the book. I am curious to read more from Harms though, and I am interested to see where she takes this series after this book.

Riley is just getting out of an abusive relationship and has been withdrawn from living her life when her friend convinces her to get out again. Riley has been strong all her life growing up with four brothers, and refuses to let her ex continue to keep her from enjoying herself any more. Riley meets a sexy guy at the party her friend drags her to, but she is instantly convinced that he is giving her cheesy pick-up lines. When she sees him dancing with another girl she thinks that he is also a cheater and wants nothing to do with him. She moves forward and shortly after meets a nice and preppy guy who is far from her typical type of bad boys. Even though Grant is nice and everything she thinks she wants now, she doesn't feel the same chemistry with him as she did with Zander at the party. Soon Riley realizes that appearances can be deceiving though, and she decides to give Zander a chance after finding out that the girl he was with was actually his best friend. Things are going great between Zander and Riley until mistake after mistake is made and Riley ends up feeling as though she is an outsider to Zander's life. Can Zander convince Riley that she is the only one he wants and that he is willing to fight for her before it is too late?

I liked Zander a lot. He was sweet and caring, and wasn't afraid to admit his feelings. He was probably the most forthcoming guy I can remember reading about in a long time. But he did struggle with constantly finding a way to screw things up, and frankly he missed a lot of things that were going on right under his nose. As much as he claimed to love and want Riley, he continued to let his best friend Beth put his relationship with Riley in jeopardy. I felt like he should have been more on Riley's side and seen where she was coming from because she was never unreasonable. I liked Riley a lot. She was strong and not girly at all. I loved that she could dress up and look great, but that she could kick some ass at paintball and video games as well. She was comfortable being herself and having grown up with four brothers made her a cool chick that could go with the flow. But I did feel as though she let Zander get away with a lot and that she gave him way too many chances. She was so forgiving and ended up coming across as a doormat that he could walk all over. I kept waiting for her to just say enough, and it was frustrating that she just let him get away with things so easily. I thought that Zander and Riley had a lot of chemistry together and were building a strong relationship. I thought that their feelings were real and genuine, but I just thought that things kept running hot and cold and after awhile I started to get irritated with them both.

I also have to say that I absolutely hated Zander's friend Beth. She was a complete bitch and interfered far too much in their relationship. The fact that Zander didn't have a clue what was going on and continuously blamed Riley rather than Beth really pissed me off. I felt like Riley deserved more and Beth was really blatant about it. She would do it right in front of Zander and he just didn't really ever seem to get it or do anything about it. I wanted him to man up and drop her despite their history, but it just continued. Then when Riley decided to be the bigger person and fix everything between Zander and Beth after everything that had happened, I really just wanted to shake her. Beth screwed up so bad and honestly didn't even do anything to redeem herself or prove that she was worthy of the effort. I never came around on her character, and honestly it made me think less of both Zander and Riley because of how everything was handled. I am interested to see more of Riley's brother Carson and her best friend Kate though. I think their relationship is intriguing and I would love to get to know both of them better. I do think that Riley and Zander were great together when they were actually together, but I think that outside forces influenced their relationship way too much and far too easily. I hope that in the next book we see them on solid footing and that they have figured out everything between them. I will definitely read the next one to see more of all the characters, and I look forward to seeing what C.A. Harms has in store next.

Review: Flaw by Ryan Ringbloom

Flaw is the first book that I have ever read by Ryan Ringbloom. This book was different than anything I had ever read before, and while I liked a lot of it there were also several things that I had issues with. I think that this book had a lot of potential, but ultimately needed some work. It was a good read and I enjoyed it. But I liked it rather than loved it.

Aiden Turner has had a rough life, and lives with the evidence on prominent display everyday. He has a huge scar on his face and has dealt with the looks and whispers ever since. He mostly stays at home when he isn't working and only goes out at night or dressed in a hooded shirt with sunglasses. He is best friends with Becca who lives across the hall, and she is the only one who loves him and sees him for who he really is. When he puts up an ad for a roommate, Josh Brewster shows up and is everything Aiden isn't. Josh is all looks on the outside but is a total jerk to women and relies on his mother to do everything for him. As Aiden and Josh get used to living together, Josh meets Becca and they are instantly drawn to each other. Josh has no idea if she and Aiden are together though and he knows that he should stay away from her. Aiden and Becca are great friends and love each other, but there isn't the same chemistry between them as what Becca and Josh share. When Becca introduces them to Jordyn, things get even more complicated. Jordyn has always been known in her family as being the perfect one. She does everything she is supposed to and never has a hair out of place. But when she meets Aiden she finds herself drawn to him and looking to upset the perfect balance for once. Do Becca and Josh belong together despite his past, and can Jordyn and Aiden get past appearances? Or will these friendships and relationships be over, leaving them all heartbroken?

I didn't like Josh at first. He was a straight up arrogant jerk, and I couldn't believe some of the things that came out of his mouth and the thoughts in his head. He was sheltered and was used to his mom doing everything for him. He won me over though, and I really saw the change in him. It was real and wasn't overnight and I think that is what made it so believable. He was better because of Becca, Aiden and Jordyn. I liked who he turned out to be and it was great to see him redeem himself. Aiden was by far the highlight of this story. It was impossible not to read this book and not fall in love with him. He was sweet and caring, kind and generous. He was truly beautiful because of who he was and not what he looked like. He had been given so many bad things in his life to deal with, and yet the person he was is someone that most people could never hope to be. He was the only character in this book that I didn't dislike at one point or another. Becca had her moments that I really liked her, but she was also judgmental and immature. I felt like she had no idea what she wanted a lot of the time, and she acted childish often. I liked her with Josh and I thought that they were good for each other. But I couldn't get over some of the things that she did to Aiden, and it was hard to like her when she treated him the way she did at times. Jordyn I liked right away, but as the story progressed that changed. She was nice and kind and I liked that she didn't treat Aiden any differently. She seemed to not care about his looks and was interested in getting to know the real him. But then all of a sudden she seemed to have a total personality switch and did some truly horrible things and said so many hurtful and disgusting words that broke my heart for Aiden. I understood why he was so hurt and why he didn't want anything to do with her after that, and honestly if I were him I am not sure I would have ever been able to forgive her.

Besides the character problems I had, I felt like there were a few other things that didn't work for me. Part of Becca's treatment of Aiden was because she felt like they belonged together and needed to protect each other. She said it often, and Aiden's story was clear why he would need that. But Becca's situation was never revealed and it didn't make any sense to me. She didn't have a lot of money and she had pink hair...that didn't require protection to me. I felt like if it was going to be brought up so many times that there should have been a reason for it. I also thought that some parts of this story moved slowly while others too quickly. I saw Becca and Josh's connection develop over time and it was natural. They had chemistry from the start, but by being together and hanging out you really got to see the emotional connection start to build. But with Aiden and Jordyn, you didn't ever really get to see their emotional connection happen. They were drawn to each other and had chemistry, but they didn't really spend that much time together or talk that much before all of a sudden they loved each other. I would have liked to have seen more development there. Overall, this book had promise but could have used some tweaking in my opinion. I loved Aiden, but I found it hard to fully like or connect with the other characters in this story. I also felt like the characters in this book acted more like high school kids or young adult age rather than new adult, and that got a bit old at times. I think that this book is different and offers a sort of Beauty and the Beast feel with both couples. I think if you are looking for a NA read that has a different take most of the NA books out there that you might give this one a shot. I would be interested to read more from Ryan Ringbloom in the future.

Review: Essence of Time by Liz Crowe

Essence of Time is the fourth book in the Stewart Realty series by Liz Crowe. I had not read any of the other books in the series before reading this book and I read this one easily as a standalone. I will say that because of that I really had no idea what to expect with this book and I didn't have a clue the emotional wringer that this book would run me through. This book was really good don't get me wrong, but it was absolutely heartbreaking at times. Prepare yourself ahead of time and have the tissues on hand with this one.

Rob Frietag has lived his life making no commitments, and making as few emotional connections as possible. He tends to run when things get close to that, and there are very few people who know the reason behind that. His best friend Jack Gordon is one of the few that knows everything, and they spent their college years enjoying life to the fullest. Rob throws everything into making a successful career as a chef and is finally realizing his dream in his late thirties. Blake Thornton is trying to drown his sorrows after the end of his emotional relationship with Suzanne Baxter when he attends a beer festival in Chicago when he meets Rob. Rob helps take care of him after he ends up drunk and alone. Rob and Blake instantly hit it off and find a connection with one another that they both didn't expect or want.Through their ups and downs Blake and Rob finally accept everything between them and are ready to spend their lives together. Rob will stop at nothing to make Blake happy, and will do everything he can to find a way to give Blake the one thing he can't. When they talk to Blake's sister Sara, she tells them of a single mother looking to make some money after a terrible divorce. Lila Warren has a young daughter and will get pregnant for them in order to care for her child. But when Lila doesn't get pregnant right away, they all begin to realize that they are growing attached to each other. Lila finds a relationship with Blake and Rob to be everything that she has been missing and they grow to love her as much as they love each other. But with Rob's secret hanging over their heads, time quickly becomes the one thing they don't have.

I really loved Rob and Blake. They were both so great in completely different ways. But their relationship worked so well because they were the perfect compliment to one another. Their road wasn't easy, but it showed just how strong their connection was once they finally came together. Rob and Blake were able to share their passion for cooking and brewing together, and I loved that they opened up a place together. I liked seeing them share so much passion outside of the bedroom as well as inside. They were so hot together and had off the charts chemistry. But the beauty of their relationship was in the emotional bond that they shared. I will admit that I didn't like Lila right off. I honestly didn't want anyone to come in between the guys, and at first she did. I thought that she was not needed in their relationship and that they could have found someone else to give them what they wanted without causing problems between them. But she did grow on me, and I saw that they were both falling for her as she was for them. It was a struggle at times to merge their relationship from being two to being three, especially with her daughter involved as well. But I think it was worth it and that it was what was right for all of them in the end. It was great that they had such a support system and that they all had one another to lean on.

I knew this book was going to break my heart from the moment I found out what Rob's secret was. I honestly didn't know exactly how things would go, but I knew something had to happen and it wasn't going to be good. I can honestly say I was surprised with what happened, and yes it broke my heart but not in the way I had expected. I am still heartbroken about what happened, and I think that this is one of those that will always stay with me because I absolutely loved these characters so much. It was so hard to get through this one at times, especially the last 30% or so. It was so worth the read, but it was just emotionally draining to say the least. I will say that the reason this book is a 4 star for me rather than a 5 star is because of how this book was done. It was divided into portions based on the characters, and that felt disjointed and choppy to me. It took me a really long time to get into this book because I felt like it was slow to get to the relationship. Yes we got a lot of back-story, and it was great to see what each of the guys had been through, but I just struggled with the format. I have to say that this book was still a really great read though, and it made me want to instantly go back and read all the rest of the books in the series. I highly recommend this story, and I think that it was beautiful even as it was breaking my heart. I can't wait to read the rest in this series, and I look forward to reading more from Liz Crowe in the future. Next time I will be better prepared and have tissues at the ready though.

ARC Review: Being Sawyer Knight by Nicola Haken

Being Sawyer Knight is the first book in Nicola Haken's Souls of the Knight series. I was really excited when I read that this was not only a rockstar male male story, but that it was also a friends to lovers story. This book was really good, and it definitely delivered on everything I had been hoping for. I can't wait to read the next book in this series and to see more from Nicola Haken.

Sawyer Knight and Jake Reed were childhood best friends until the day that Jake's parents moved to Australia and Jake finally gave in and kissed Sawyer. He had been in love with him since they were 14 and figured he had nothing to lose. Sawyer was scared by how much he felt in that kiss and did the only thing he could think of, push Jake away and tell him to never contact him again. Now 10 years later, Sawyer is the famous lead singer of the Souls of the Knight band, and although he has everything he could ask for he is lonely. When Sawyer's band needs a new head of security, he is surprised to find out that none other than Jake Reed has been selected for the job. Although it's been years, the attraction and connection is still there between them. Sawyer is drawn to Jake, but he will do anything to keep things between them friendly. Jake isn't willing to let Sawyer go again without a fight though. Can Jake and Sawyer have a chance at a future together, or will there be too many obstacles in the way?

I really liked both Sawyer and Jake. Jake was so easy to like, and I loved his personality. He was so comfortable with who he was and wasn't afraid to go after what he wanted. He was smart and successful and super sexy. He was so sweet and patient with Sawyer and he was really supportive of him. I loved how close he was with his family and how protective he was with Sawyer and the band. Sawyer was sweet also and I loved his relationship with Elle. She was always there for him and encouraged Sawyer to be himself and to be happy. It was great to see him have that support from Elle as well as Jake. I thought that Sawyer was really great with Jake, and it was good to see him start to realize that his feelings were nothing to be ashamed of. I felt so bad for him because he came from a family that was so judgmental and his mom was so close-minded. He really struggled with being himself because he had been taught to think that everything he felt and who he was was somehow wrong. I was glad that Jake stuck with it though and was there for him through everything. Sawyer and Jake had great chemistry together, but their relationship was so much more than that because they had been so close for so long. Even though they were apart for years, their relationship hadn't changed much, and they still knew each other better than anyone else.

Overall, I thought that this was a great start to the series and I loved both Jake and Sawyer. I also really liked the secondary characters as well, and I especially liked Ryder. He was great and I loved that he was also able to help Sawyer figure things out. Sometimes its easier to talk about things with someone who doesn't know you as well and is more objective and that was exactly who Ryder was for Sawyer. I thought that Ryder was such an interesting character, and I am really looking forward to reading his book next. I do think that while this book was really enjoyable and was a great romance story, that it was a little predictable. There wasn't really anything new here, but that didn't really bother me much. I would definitely recommend to fans of male male romance or anyone looking for a sexy friends to lovers rockstar story. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and I look forward to reading more from Nicola Haken in the future.

Review: The Sergeant by Christa Tomlinson

This review is sort of a tough one for me to write and rate. I have become a fan of M/M books and there is nothing sexier than a man in uniform, so when I had the chance to review this one I was really excited. There are things that I both really liked and really didn't like with this book, which is why I decided to rate it at 3 stars. After having read it, I saw that when it came to reviewers so far this book has been either loved or hated. It seems to definitely be bringing out strong reactions, and I think that this is one that most people will just have to read for themselves and come to their own conclusions. For me, I thought that the book despite the things that I didn't like was a really good book and I am glad that I read this one.

Logan Pierce is the Sergeant of his SWAT team. He is calm and collected and handles his handpicked team with efficiency. But at home and behind closed doors, he is a Dom that needs control when it comes to his relationships. Even though he has enjoyed the BDSM lifestyle, he has never given his collar to anyone. But Logan wants his collar on Corporal Clay Foster. Over the last few years Logan and Clay have both watched each other and though there is a mutual attraction nothing has ever happened before. Clay is bisexual and had a past of casual relationships that didn't last long. Logan didn't want to make a move on him before he was ready and ruin any chance he had for a relationship with Clay or ruin their working relationship. When the attraction continues to grow, things quickly become passionate between them. Clay has no idea that being with Logan means becoming a sub though, and things get heavy between them faster than he ever expected. Clay and Logan both have secrets and the pressure of that as well as keeping things at work quiet becomes a huge strain on their relationship. Clay begins to question if he can handle being in the type of relationship that Logan needs, or if it is too much for him to handle. But Logan is determined to convince Clay that they belong together and Clay needs Logan's collar just as much as Logan needs him to wear it.

I really liked both Clay and Logan. They were hot and manly and everything you would expect from sexy SWAT officers. I loved that Logan was so comfortable with his sexuality and that he was able to be so open about what he needed. He never wavered with his dedication to Clay and he was patient with him while introducing him to the lifestyle. Clay was a bit vulnerable and was struggling with being a submissive when he had never been familiar with that before. He was coming to terms with his own sexuality and his desires scared him a lot of the time. I was glad to see that he was able to find the help he needed between Logan and their friends and fellow officers Tiffany and Carlos. He needed to see that what he was experiencing wasn't something to be ashamed of but rather something to embrace. Clay and Logan had a ton of chemistry right from the start, and these two were so freaking hot together. But they were also developing such a strong emotional bond that most people could never understand. The relationship between Dom and sub is something that bound them together in such a unique and beautiful way.

My favorite parts of this story were the characters and the relationships. I loved how unique and diverse the characters were. They were easy to like and root for, and they were also easy to relate to even for someone who doesn't participate in the same lifestyle. I loved seeing the complexity of each relationship and seeing how real they were. They weren't all smooth sailing and that is what made them so believable. I also really loved how hot this book was. A lot of times with Erotica stories they claim to have a ton of heat but don't deliver. That was not the case with The Sergeant. This one had a lot of sex scenes and a ton of steam! The parts that I had trouble with though were the length, and the way the story sort of went in circles. This book is over 500 pages long, and honestly it didn't need to be. Things just kept coming between them and they would have to start the whole trust process over each time. It got to be a bit repetitive and drawn out. I felt like that is probably what lost a lot of readers and I think it hurt the story quite a bit. It has a way of drawing the readers attention away from the story and makes it easy to lose interest. I think if it wasn't for those two things, that this story would be a complete home run. I think that a lot of readers will still really like this book though, and will end up loving Clay and Logan like I did. They are definitely worth the read if you are a fan of Male/Male books and like some hot and steamy BDSM action. I will definitely read more from Christa Tomlinson in the future after reading The Sergeant.

ARC Review: Legal Briefs by N.M. Silber

Legal Briefs is the third book in the Lawyers in Love series by N.M. Silber. This book can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend starting at the beginning if you haven't already read the first two books. These stories are fantastic, and they have everything that you could ask for in an entertaining and captivating read. There is always love, sex, and humor and I just love N.M. Silber's writing style. I can never get enough of these characters and their stories, and I always breeze right through them because I just can't put them down.

Adam and Lily have been enemies since childhood. It all started when Adam licked Lily's fruit roll up and Lily put glitter in Adam's hair. Over the years they have never stopped fighting, and things have progressively become worse. Suddenly though their feelings are starting to change for one another, and they are unable to fight the attraction between them. Adam has grown tired of hooking up with random girls and Lily is tired of just writing about romance. Adam and Lily decide that they are finally ready to try something between them. Before long they are no longer fighting as much and the tension between them has turned into something much more passionate. Can Lily and Adam make the switch from enemies to lovers without everything ending in disaster while trying to avoid the many obstacles that are thrown in their way?

I loved Adam. He is cocky and sarcastic and has always given Lily a hard time. He makes fun of her and purposely annoys her to try and get a reaction. But you could tell that he was always like that with her because he had feelings for her. He might not have always known how to handle them, but it was obvious that they were there. I liked that he was possessive of her and made sure that he staked his claim. He was also really protective, and I liked that once he had figured his feelings out he didn't have any problems changing his life and making an effort for Lily. Lily was funny and sweet and a lot more feisty than I had expected. I knew from the previous books that she was more than just a librarian and that she also wrote romance books. But it was nice to really get to see more of her personality and everything that was sort of hidden under her librarian facade. I think that Adam and Lily were absolutely a perfect match and they had such a great connection on all levels. They were so hot together and it was great to see all their tension and banter finally explode into more.

Overall, I thought that this book was a really great addition to the Lawyers in Love series. I honestly didn't think that I would like Adam and Lily as much as Gabrielle and Braden. I had become so attached to those characters that I was really not expecting them to be surpassed. But Lily and Adam were just as great if not better, and I ended up adoring them both! Legal Briefs still had the humor and banter as well as the great sex that I have come to expect from N.M. Silber. However I felt like this book wasn't quite as humorous as the previous books, and I think that this story focused a little more on Adam and Lily's relationship rather than the group as a whole. There were less group interactions, and even though I love all the characters it honestly didn't bother me at all. I didn't miss it like I thought I would because I was so drawn in by Adam and Lily and I was invested in their relationship right from the start. We still got some really great moments with everyone, but this story had a slightly different feel than the first two books. My only reason for not rating this book higher is that I felt the ending was rushed. This book is definitely a high four and had it not been so rushed at the end it would have been a five for me. Adam and Lily really surprised me, and I just loved them both. This series is one of my absolute favorites and these books are must reads for anyone who likes some humor with their romance. I can't wait to get more of all these characters and see what crazy adventures await them in the future. N.M. Silber is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, and her books are definitely auto-buy for me at this point. I highly recommend this series and anything from N.M. Silber.
