The most brazen terrorist attack in history. A country bent on revenge. A love affair cut short. A heart that never truly heals.
I knew on the day of the attack that our lives were changed forever. What I didn’t know then was that I’d never see John again after he deployed. One day he was living with me, sleeping next to me, making plans with me. The next day he was gone.
That was five years ago. The world has moved on from that awful day, but I’m stuck in my own personal hell, waiting for a man who may be dead for all I know. At my sister’s wedding, I meet Eric, the brother of the groom, and my heart comes alive once again.
The world is riveted by the capture of the terrorist mastermind, brought down by U.S. Special Forces in a daring raid. Now I am trapped between hoping I’ll hear from John and fearing what’ll become of my new life with Eric if I do.
From a New York Times bestselling author, Five Years Gone, a standalone contemporary, is an epic story of love, honor, duty, unbearable choices and impossible dilemmas.

ARC Review: Sex God by Marie Force
Sex God is the sexy standalone follow-up to Marie Force's Sex Machine. I was really excited to read this one since I enjoyed Sex Machine so much, and this one was every bit as good. I had a great time reading it and while this is a standalone story, I definitely recommend reading both.
Garrett and Lauren have been friends for years, and though they have had feelings for one another they have kept them to themselves. While Lauren has strong ties to their hometown of Marfa, Texas, Garrett has always looked forward to the day he could get out. His familial obligations kept him around Marfa, but he is closer than ever to getting out with only a few loose strings left to tie up. Garrett is known as a sex god from his one night stands, but the one night that Garrett and Lauren spent together it was less than fantastic. He is determined to have one more night with her to prove that their previous time together was a fluke, but Lauren wants more.
I really liked these two. They had so much chemistry and a great connection. Despite their first night together, it was clear that they really were great together. I enjoyed seeing Lauren and Garrett go from being friends to more, and all that came with that. It was sweet and sexy, and I had a great time reading their story.
Overall, Marie Force continues to amaze me with her fantastic writing. I am pretty new to her books, but with each new one I read from her she continues to solidify herself as a go-to author for me. I have yet to read anything by her that I didn't enjoy, and I definitely recommend giving her books a chance if you haven't read them before.

ARC Review: Sex Machine by Marie Force
I really enjoyed Sex Machine by Marie Force. This book is a standalone story, which was refreshing after reading so many books in series lately. I was a bit worried when starting this book if I am honest, as I didn't know how much of a story there would be here. I am glad to say though that while the title and cover of this book promise a ton of steam (and deliver!), there was a great story to go along with that. Marie Force did a great job of balancing everything out and making this one that I liked from start to finish.
Tired of never having had a good orgasm, Honey Carmichael sets out to get one. With no one better to provide one, she goes to Blake Dempsey, the man with a reputation for his skills in bed. Blake is more than happy to help Honey out, as long as she knows that it will be nothing more than sex between them. After losing his high school girlfriend, he has nothing to offer anyone and knows that it is best to make that clear from the start. But when feelings start to develop, both Blake and Honey are forced to face the fact that life has other plans for both of them.
These two were great. Easy to like and I felt the chemistry between them right away. There was so much steam between Honey and Blake, and I couldn't get enough of them. But there was also a really great connection developing as well, and it was one that neither of them wanted or planned. There was so much emotion though as well, and I really felt like Marie Force delivered a solid story here that wasn't just one giant sex scene.
I will say that there were a few things that kept this one from being a five star read for me, but overall this was a really good story. There were a few times that things got a bit cheesy for me with the constant play on Honey's name, and I could have done without some of that. I also felt like there were times that things were mentioned over and over, and that wasn't necessary either. We got how big he was, and it seems like the author felt the need to keep on mentioning that throughout the story as though we might forget just how big he was. That being said though, I still really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more from Force in the future.

Feature and Giveaway: I Saw Her Standing There by Marie Force
There’s a budding romance on Butler Mountain, but in the hornets’ nest known as the Abbott family, keeping a secret is no easy feat…
Colton Abbott and Lucy Mulvaney have a secret. Colton’s nosy siblings have begun to put the pieces together, but it’s not like Lucy to keep things from those closest to her—especially her best friend, Cameron, who recently moved to Vermont to live with her true love, Will. But Lucy isn’t about to tell Cam she’s having a fling…with Will’s brother.
Flitting between New York and Vermont is exhausting, so Lucy is looking forward to a long weekend with Colton at the Abbott family lake house in Burlington. Too bad Will and Cameron have the same idea, and once Colton and Lucy are caught red-handed (and red-faced), will their clandestine romance lose its appeal or will their secret beginnings be the start of something lasting?

ARC Review: All You Need is Love by Marie Force
Cameron Murphy is driving to Vermont to meet with a client to discuss website ideas. The weather is not cooperating, making the roads slippery. She’s about to crash into the most famous resident of the town. Fred the moose walks away unscathed. Cameron gets smacked in the face by her car’s airbag, leaving bruises and swelling. Her damaged car leaves her stranded in the little town. As she steps out, her suede boots get stuck in the mud. Her rescuer, Will Abbott, is her client’s son and gorgeous. His family owns the Green Mountain Country Store. Her father and Will’s father know each other. One went on to become a domineering billionaire, the other a loving husband and father of ten. Along with his parents, Will and nine siblings have different areas of expertise and market various products through the store. The father hired Cameron, but his children are against the idea of a store website. She asks for time and starts to build the website with their input. Her attraction to Will grows, but she resists. She has a history of falling hard and fast for guys. Plus she’ll be heading back to New York in a few weeks. But she’s falling in love with his family and dogs too. Gradually, the family accepts her website ideas and approve of the blossoming romance. Cameron leaves and picks up the life she left behind in New York. Which one of them will be able to give up the life they love for true love?
I liked the characters, especially Will’s grandfather, Elmer. A nugget of his wisdom opens every chapter. Will and Cameron make an interesting opposites attract couple. He loves the outdoors and her teeth chatter at the thought of the cold. The siblings, dogs, and townsfolk fill out the book well.
I understand wanting to preserve the uniqueness of the store, but how would a website hurt business? Why refuse more opportunities for sales, especially since the store employs such a large group of people in the same family? The Abbotts have unique products, some handmade, others may be fragile for shipping, but the Internet is filled with such things. I was surprised the parents were for the website and their children were against it.
This a first book in a series and many plot lines are hatched regarding Will’s family.

Feature and Giveaway: All You Need is Love by Marie Force
Hoping to take the magic of the island and move it to the mountains with the Abbot family, purveyors of the odd and hard to find relics of a time long gone by in small-town Vermont. Hope you'll come with me to the Green Mountains! Watch for the first book in the series in early 2014!
The family-run Green Mountain Country Store is cherished by locals as a reminder of simpler times. The Abbott children are determined to keep it that way—but their father has different plans…
When Cameron Murphy heads to Vermont to build a website for a new client, she imagines a more relaxing trip than she gets. After wrecking her car by colliding with the town moose, she meets the most handsome hero she’s ever seen. Unfortunately, her savior, Will Abbott, is also the son of her client—and he wants nothing to do with the new website or the city girl creating it.
For all Will cares, Cameron can march her fancy boots right out of town and out of his family’s business. But he can’t seem to get her out of his head. As his family’s dispute heats up, so does the chemistry between the two, leaving them wondering if simple is better after all—especially when it comes to matters of the heart.
