Guest Post with Author Jackie Ashenden and Giveaway

Meet Jackie Ashenden, author of Talking Dirty with the Boss.

Jackie has been writing fiction since she was eleven years old. Mild mannered fantasy/SF/pseudo-literary writer by day, obsessive romance writer by night, she used to balance her writing with the more serious job of librarianship until a chance meeting with another romance writer prompted her to throw off the shackles of her day job and devote herself to the true love of her heart – writing romance. She particularly likes to write emotional stories with alpha heroes who've just got the world to their liking only to have it blown wide apart by their kick-ass heroines.

She lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband, the inimitable Dr Jax, two kids, two cats and some guppies (possibly dead guppies by the time you read this). When she's not torturing alpha males and their stroppy heroines, she can be found drinking chocolate martinis, reading anything she can lay her hands on, posting random crap on her blog, or being forced to go mountain biking with her husband.

Hi and thanks for having me on the blog. Today I'm interviewing Luke McNamara, my hero in Talking Dirty with the Boss. He hates interviews so do bear with me while I get him to open up. ;-)

Okay Luke, what do you consider your greatest achievement?

Starting up my finance company, McNamara Financial. I love numbers.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

There's no such thing as perfect happiness. But I do like driving fast cars and that can be a pleasurable experience.

What is your favorite occupation?

Explaining the financial sector to people. It's a lot more interesting than you think. .

What is your greatest extravagance?

My Ferrari Enzo. Paid a lot of money to get it shipped to New Zealand but it was worth it. I just don't like people touching it.

What is your most marked characteristic?

My OCD. But don't tell anyone about that, okay?

What is the quality you most look for in a woman?

Intelligence and seriousness. Knowledge of the financial sector is a real asset too.

If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?

Well, that's a ridiculous question. When you die, you die. That's it.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I wish I didn't have OCD. But you didn't hear that from me.

On what occasions do you lie?

I don't lie. Ever.

Only got one more question: what is your motto?

Stay calm. Obey the rules. Keep your mind on the job.

Marisa Clair wants to get her artist dreams back on track after a life detour. That means no partying, no shopping…and definitely no men to distract her.
