Places to find Samantha:
First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
I am the author of adult and new adult romance, as well as teen urban fantasy, including my Edinburgh-based adult romance series ON DUBLIN STREET.
I’m also partial to peanut M&Ms.
A la Twitter style, please describe Fall From India Place or the On Dublin Street series in 140 characters or less.
FALL FROM INDIA PLACE is a second chance romance between a fiesty Scot and a brooding American hero.
What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?
I love ‘truth scenes’. The scenes where the characters finally hit the point in their relationship where all the ugly and beautiful truths they’ve been keeping from one another are revealed. I lose myself completely in those scenes, and usually don’t even realize how much time has past from the moment I start until the moment I finish.
What are the things that influence you the most as a writer?
I’m hugely influenced by music and song lyrics. I’m also inspired by movies and other writers.
What are some of your favorite characteristics to find in a hero?
I love a hero with a wicked sense of humor, a hero who can’t be pushed around or intimidated, an alpha hero who is protective but not domineering. A hero who appreciates an independent and strong heroine. Also, I love a hardworking hero—there’s nothing more offputting than laziness. A hardworking hero shows he’s determined and motivated, and those are characteristics that prove attractive when in his pursuit of his heroine.
What do you think readers will like most about Hannah and Marco’s relationship in Fall From India Place?
I think readers will appreciate how they make each other better. Hannah is very independent but to the point where she feels like relying on anyone is a weakness. Marco is very much a hero who needs to be needed so he brings out that vulnerable side in Hannah. Marco is very deep and quite brooding, but Hannah opens him up. He’s more laidback around her and his sense of humor really comes out around her.
If you could live inside any book, which one would you choose and why?
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. One word: Hogwarts.
If you could spend the day in the shoes of any of your characters, who would you choose and why?
Joss. One Word: Braden.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could bring only three items, what would you bring and why?
Pen, Journal, and a copy of the Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness.
What are you working on right now?
I am currently working on On Dublin Street #5! More info coming soon!
Question to readers: What are your favorite traits in a hero?
The New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street and Down London Road returns with a story about letting go of the past and learning to trust in the future…
When Hannah Nichols last saw Marco D’Alessandro, five long years ago, he broke her heart. The bad boy with a hidden sweet side was the only guy Hannah ever loved—and the only man she’s ever been with. After one intense night of giving into temptation, Marco took off, leaving Scotland and Hannah behind. Shattered by the consequences of their night together, Hannah has never truly moved on.
Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco’s life, something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight. Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they’re meant to be together.…
But just when Marco thinks they’re committed to a future together, Hannah makes a discovery that unearths the secret pain she’s been hiding from him, a secret that could tear them apart before they have a real chance to start over again….

You know, this one is sort of hard to explain. He has to be loving, considerate, protective without being overbearing, loyal, just everything that Braden is. I think he has the perfect when it comes to all that. A hero done right. Also, I love him and he is the main reason I look forward to these books even though I love the books as well.
