Avery is an RT Book Reviews nominated author of sexy and sassy contemporary romance, romantic suspense and paranormal romance. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.
First off, HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY!!!
When Danielle asked me to pick three of my heroes who were hall pass worthy, my first thought was ONLY THREE?!? It might just be me, but I get a crush on every single one of my heroes when I’m writing them. If I didn’t, there’s no way I could make the heroine fall for him—especially considering he’s probably going to make a big enough ass of himself (for the right reasons of course) to need to do some serious groveling before the heroine gives him her heart.
So here are my latest three heroes, each and everyone of which I love—but only one gets the hall pass.
Sean O’Dell/Duvin (Hollywood on Tap) - Oh Sean, now he was fun to write. Who wouldn’t have fun dreaming up a super hot movie star hiding in plain sight at a brewery in small town Virginia. He’s all beard and biceps and booty. Wait. That’s not true. He’s not just brawn, there’s plenty of brain in there too. I based him on the actor who played Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles. Le sigh. Sean is running from a dark past, but it’s not until he meets Natalie Sweet that he finds something worth running staying and fighting for.
Cam Hardy (Make Me Up) - Cam is six feet, six inches of former paramilitary muscle. He’s funny, charming, hot and he knows it. He just figures it’s not ego if it’s true. I loved writing about Cam and Drea. With as much personality that he has, he needed a strong woman to balance him out and Drea is just the woman for the job. I should tell you know that my mental picture while writing Cam was a taller version of Ryan Kwanten from True Blood. Can I get an oh yeah?
Liam MacTíre (Big, Bad Red) - A billionaire, leather-wearing, motorcycle-driving badass werewolf under a curse that will turn him forever furry if he can’t find a stolen sword needed to reverse it. Um, hello… I am here for my hall pass. Yep, I love all my heroes, but there just something about Liam that gives me the happy shivers. What can I say. A guy who’s friends with a hot pink dragon just ha a little something extra.
Now I know I’m only suppose to be giving away two books today, but how can I keep these hotties to myself!?! So to celebrate Ramblings From This Chick’s anniversary, I’m giving away one digital copy of Hollywood on Tap, Make Me Up and Big, Bad Red! This giveaway is open internationally. To enter just share who gets your hall pass: Sean, Cam or Liam.

For years, Sean O’Dell has hidden his past as a Hollywood heartthrob from everyone at the Sweet Salvation Brewery. However, the arrival of nosey efficiency expert Natalie Sweet threatens the status quo. It doesn’t help that with her glasses, buttoned-up sweaters and always pulled-back hair that she’s uncovered one secret already: His attraction for hot librarian types.Natalie has had enough of the strong-and-silent Sean submarining her efforts to change the brewery for the better. She’s ready to do whatever it takes to make her vision a reality, even if that means taking down the pig-headed and too-hot-for-his-own-good brewmaster.Sizzling attraction battles stubborn determination as Natalie and Sean go head to head in a battle that’s anything but business as usual.
