Meet Julie Brannagh, author of Blitzing Emily.

Julie Brannagh has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She lives in a small town near Seattle, where she once served as a city council member and owned a yarn shop. She shares her home with a wonderful husband, two uncivilized Maine Coons and a rambunctious chocolate Lab.

Guest Post with Author Traci Douglass

Today I would like to welcome author Traci Douglass to RFTC. Traci is celebrating the release of her newest book, Seal of Surrender and has stopped by to chat. Please give Traci a warm welcome.

Traci is the author of paranormal/urban fantasy and contemporary romances featuring a sly, urban edge, including her current Seven Seals series. Her stories feature sizzling alpha-male heroes full of dark humor, quick wits and major attitudes; smart, independent heroines who always give as good as they get; and scrumptiously evil villains who are—more often than not—bent on world destruction. She enjoys weaving ancient curses and mythology, modern science and old religion, and great dialogue together to build red-hot, sizzling chemistry between her main characters.

Traci is an active member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), Indiana Romance Writers of America (IRWA) and Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal Writers (FF&P) and is pursing a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Writing Popular Fiction through Seton Hill University. Her stories have made the final rounds in several RWA chapter contests, including the 2012 Duel on the Delta, the 2012 Molly Awards, and the 2012 Catherine Awards. An earlier draft of Seal of Destiny won the paranormal category of the 2012 Marlene Awards sponsored by the Washington Romance Writers.

Other current projects include upcoming books in the Seven Seals series and a new futuristic suspense series with hints of the paranormal and plenty of romance.

Guest Post with Author Beverley Oakley and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome author Beverley Oakley to RFTC. Beverley is here to chat about her book Her Gilded Prison. Please give Beverley a warm welcome.

Beverley Oakley is the author of eight historical romances published by Pan Macmillan Momentum, Robert Hale, Ellora's Cave and Total-e-Bound. Recently she won UK Women's Fiction publisher Choc-Lit's Search for an Australian Star competition.

She's been shortlisted twice for a Romance Readers of Australia Award in the Favourite Historical category — in 2011 for A Little Deception (as Beverley Eikli), and in 2012 for her racy Regency Romp, Rake's Honour, written under her Beverley Oakley pseudonym.

Beverley wrote her first romance when she was seventeen. However, drowning the heroine on the last page was, she discovered, not in the spirit of the genre so her romance-writing career ground to a halt and she became a journalist.

After throwing in her job on South Australia's metropolitan daily The Advertiser to manage a luxury safari lodge in the Okavango Delta, in Botswana, Beverley discovered a new world of romance and adventure in a thatched cottage in the middle of a mopane forest with the handsome Norwegian bush pilot she met around a camp fire.

Eighteen years later, after exploring the world in the back of Cessna 404s and CASA 212s as an airborne geophysical survey operator during low-level sorties over the French Guyanese jungle and Greenland's ice cap, Beverley is back in Australia living a more conventional life with her husband and two daughters in a pretty country town an hour north of Melbourne.

Guest Post with Author Lorraine Heath and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome back to RFTC author Lorraine Heath. Lorraine is celebrating the release of Lord of Wicked Intentions, book 3 in her Lost Lords of Pembrook series and has stopped by to share an interview with Lord Rafe Easton. Please give Lorraine and Lord Easton a warm welcome.

New York Times bestselling author Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases for a publicist, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. In 1990, she read a romance novel and became not only hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She's been writing about them ever since.

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC, author Christine Bell. Christine is celebrating the recent release of her book Down and Dirty and has stopped by to chat. Please give Christine a warm welcome.

Christine Bell is one half of the happiest couple in the world. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys and their two dogs, Gimli and Pug. If she gets time off from her duties as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She doesn’t like root beer, clowns or bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate, going to the movies, the New York Giants and playing Texas Hold ‘Em. Writing is her passion, but if she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate…or, like, a ninja maybe. She loves writing fun and adventure-filled romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to dig his eyes out with rusty spoons.

Guest Post with Author Cheryl Douglas

Today I would like to welcome author Cheryl Douglas to the blog. Cheryl is currently on tour for her book Ruthless and has stopped by the blog to chat a bit about her characters from the book. Before I give the floor to Cheryl, let's get to know her a bit.

It took me thirty-seven years to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I thought I'd found my calling. In fact, I worked as a nutritionist for twelve years before I finally admitted to myself that while I enjoyed my work, I couldn't imagine doing it for the next thirty years.

My sub-conscious knew that I wanted to be a writer long before the conscious part of my mind decided to get with the program. While my sub-conscious was hard at work creating character profiles, plots and storylines, my conscious mind was telling me it was crazy to give up a successful business on the off-chance one of my manuscripts might rise to the top of someone's never-ending slush pile. After years of listening to that negative voice, I was finally ready to stop making excuses, face the fear and follow my dream of becoming a full-time writer, no matter the outcome. I'm so thankful I did.

I love bringing my characters to life and I am so grateful to have readers who love those characters as much as I do.

When I take a break from writing it's to spend time with my husband (a.k.a. my real life hero), my son, and my writing partner, Tia, a spirited Havanese who enjoys tapping her paw on my keyboard whenever I need a little comic relief.

Romance Book Casting Call with Melanie from Bookworm2Bookworm and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to the celebration, blogger Melanie from Bookworm2Bookworm. I haven't known Melanie for all that long, but in the time that I have known her she has become one of my favorite people. She is kind, helpful and always up to talk books so I immediately knew that I would love to have her come by and 'cast' her favorite book.

I am an avid reader I love to talk about books I’ve read, especially romance novels. b2b primarily is a book review blog, but we also have author interviews and guest posts. I've been blessed with two awesome women that accepted my invitation to join me in this adventure, and one of those is Kristal (covering Paranormal novels) and Evelyn (covering romance in real life). As for who I am, personally: I’m in my early fifties, married, working, and have grown kids, son who just married, and a daughter just about to. I love gardening, reading and walking, but my love of the written ward spans five decades, from the age of five, and is on top of my 'love to do' list'.

Romance Book Casting Call with Mandi from Smexy Books and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to the Casting Call, blogger Mandi from Smexy Books. I am super stoked to have Mandi here to help me celebrate my first year of blogging. I was actually lucky enough to meet Mandi at last years Authors After Dark in Philadelphia and she is awesome. I'm not going to lie, I was in total awe of her when I first met her because I just love her blog so much. But she was super nice and we even talked a little about the BDB, which we are both obsessed with.

Mandi lives two lives. One at home with a hubs and two boys. Another surrounded by romantic happily ever afters and sometimes if she is feeling daring, a dangerous urban fantasy world. She has collected numerous fictional boyfriends along the way that keep her quite busy. While she has many favorite authors, on her auto-buy list currently are Courtney Milan, Cara McKenna, Ilona Andrews, Nalini Singh, KA Mitchell, Jim Butcher and Kaki Warner....just to name a few.

Guest Post with Allison Pang and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC author Allison Pang. Allison is currently on tour promoting the her newest release A Sliver of Shadow. Before I give the floor to Allison lets get to know her a bit.

A marine biologist in a former life, Allison Pang turned to a life of crime to finance her wild spending habits and need to collect Faberge eggs. A cat thief of notable repute, she spends her days sleeping and nights scaling walls and wooing dancing boys….Well, at least the marine biology part is true. But she was taloned by a hawk once. She also loves Hello Kitty, sparkly shoes, and gorgeous violinists.

She spends her days in Northern Virginia working as a cube grunt and her nights waiting on her kids and cats, punctuated by the occasional husbandly serenade. Sometimes she even manages to write. Mostly she just makes it up as she goes.
