Interview with Author Casea Major and Giveaway

Hi everyone. Today I would like to welcome to the blog author Casea Major. Casea is currently on tour promoting the release of her book One Knight in Brooklyn and allowed me to ask her a few questions, which I would love to share with you all. So without further ado here's Casea.

First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
Thank you for having me today, Danielle! My pen name is Casea Major. Casea is pronounced Kay SEE. I have been writing romantic fiction for about a year.

My story One Knight in Brooklyn is the 42nd story in the popular multi-author 1Night Stand series from Decadent Publishing. The 1-Night Stand series is based around Madame Eve's high-end matchmaking service. With Madame Eve anything is possible. This series has something for everyone and I am proud to be counted with the talented authors in this group.

Did you always want to be a writer?
I did always know I was good with words. I didn't realize until last year that I wanted to be a writer.

What kind of writer are you? Panster or Plotter?
I am a hybrid. I plot major turning points and panst to get there. LOL

Where do your ideas come from?
I get inspiration from everywhere. Mostly music, T.v., movies.

A la Twitter style, can you describe your book (or series) in 140 characters or less.
Hopeless romantic seeks noble knight and earth-shattering orgasm. Gets foulmouthed car salesman who turns out to be perfect hero/lover

Out of any of your books, which one would you like to be a character in? And why?
In my Fantasy Reign of Light series, the fantasy world is so rich and beautiful. I call it my land of rainbows and renaissance. All the characters have special abilities. Nothing over the top, but like enhanced natural giftings. Telekenisis, Telepathy, Telportation, Animalspeak. I would love to have the gift of prophecy.

What are some of your favorite kinds of stories to read?
I love fantasy romance, and time travel. The medieval time period is my favorite.

Do you have a favorite book and if so what is it?
The Lord of the Rings is great. I enjoy reading Karen Marie Moning, too.

Have you ever fallen for another author's hero? If so, who and why?
I fall for every hero or I don't finish the book. What's the point, right? Diana Galbadon's Jamie Frasier is the best written hero of all-time. He is literary perfection. If you have read Outlander you know why Jamie is the best. Besides from being jump off the page real, he is a tender, humble, man of honor and character. He is a strong alpha, but he's also a horse trainer so he understands the concept of partnership. But make no mistake, he's still in charge.

What are the scenes that are the hardest for you to write?
The scenes leading up to the action. Those are the hardest to get through.

If you could have dinner with any three authors, who would you choose and why?
I would love the have dinner with the Apostle Paul because he wrote most of the new Testament, J.R.R. Tolkein because he spent his life building Middle Earth and it's history, culture and peoples. I would love to find out tips and tricks. And Jo Rowlings mainly so she could pick up the tab, but she has also created quite a world and a phenomenon.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I read and write and sometimes I do laundry sometimes not. LOL

Favorite movie?
There are so many. I have to say Lord of the Rings. Because the movies followed so closely with the books.

Favorite song?
One of my all-time favorite songs is Silly Love Songs by Paul McCartney and Wings

Favorite color?
Green – any shade Kelly, forest, turquoise, teal, emerald

Last question, are you working on anything right now?
Always. For NaNoWriMo I'm working on a mainstream Young Adult story titled Taylor Made Life. When I'm finished it will be self-published under a not-for-profit in honor of a friend whose daughter is currently battling cancer.

Here is the blurb.

A Taylor Made Life

Seventeen-year-old Taylor Smith's biggest fear is dying a virgin. Unfortunately, if the terminally-ill leukemia patient doesn't find a lover or a stem cell match within months, her fear will become reality.

Twenty-eight-year-old billionaire, Gavin Taylor has everything he ever wanted except a family or the time to make one. His non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is beyond the help of his riches, so he enlists the services of a celebrity matchmaker to find the perfect girl to wed and spend the remainder of his life with, however long. Little does the computer gaming whiz know the perfect girl is a teenager from Texas.

In a fight for their lives against the prejudice of conservatives, the stockholders of the company and cancer, Gavin and Taylor face their trials together.

And together their love holds the secret to conquering every foe.

After signing up for a one-night stand through an exclusive matching agency, hopeless romantic Marianne Caldwell is swept away to a medieval land where she hopes to spend the night with a worthy man of honor.

Unsure of how she got from the Castillo Hotel in Las Vegas to a castle in the English countryside, Mare finds Robert, whose stunning physique and winning smile immediately convince her he's the Robin Hood she's been seeking. But despite his efforts in saving her from a corrupt sheriff, his Jersey Shore accent and coarse ways unravel her romantic visions.

With her fairytale fantasies coming unhinged, Mare must decide if Robert is just a crass car salesman from Brooklyn or the chivalrous knight she's looking for.
