Anna Harrington is a new author writing sexy Regency romances. She fell in love with historical romances—and all those dashing Regency heroes—while living in London. She loves to travel, fly airplanes, and hike, and when she isn’t writing, she spends her time killing innocent rose bushes in her garden.
Raised in two separate worlds, former army officer Nathaniel Grey and Lady Emily Matteson have waited five years for their love to blossom. Now that she’s a widow and he’s a War Office hero, will they live happily ever after, or will their two worlds pull them apart forever?
Check out Emily and Nathaniel's love story in Along Came a Rogue.
THE WICKEDEST SECRET . . .Major Nathaniel Grey is free to bed whomever he wants, whenever he chooses, and that’s exactly how he likes it. His only loyalties are to country and the two friends he served with—brothers he’d do anything for. So when one of them is gravely injured and asking for his little sister, Grey will move heaven and earth to bring her home. He’s greeted not by the gangly girl he remembers, but a stunningly beautiful woman holding a loaded musket. And he’s utterly captivated by her…IS A SECRET SEDUCTIONOnce upon a time, Emily would have loved nothing more than a stolen hour with her brother’s best friend, the dashing officer who captured her heart and soul. But things are different now—and so is she. Gone is the eager young woman who believed in love. In her place is a widow weighed down with secrets who desperately needs to disappear before they’re revealed. But Nate’s sinfully sexy smile offers protection unlike anything she’s ever known, tempting her to risk everything…even her heart.

Looks like this book is good enough to read. I don't really like such book, but this one seems to be not bad.
ReplyDeleteI hope you give it a try. My heroines are not the traditional Regency ladies, so you might find it different from others. I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteThis sounds great! I sure hope she finally gives in!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it! (Spoiler: she does! But not after a lot of pursuit by Grey). But if I had a handsome spy after me, I think I'd give in a lot sooner! :)
DeleteI'm dying to know what secrets Emily has!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could tell you! Oh, she has several...and they nearly cost her her life. But they are definitely not the traditional Regency romance heroine secrets, I can tell you that much. I hope you enjoy the book!
DeleteI love Anna Harrington!!!!! Her books are soooo goodddd
ReplyDeleteAwww, you are so sweet! I'm glad you like my writing. I probably shouldn't admit it, but while this book is good, my favorite is the third one in the series, How I Married a Marquess.
Deleteoooh... this sounds intriguing!!! Thanks for the awesome letters :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! They were so much fun to write, and fun to have Emily frustrate Grey yet again (She's so very good at it!) I hope you enjoy the book.
DeleteI want to know more about the secrets.
ReplyDeleteWhat kinds of books do you like to read?
I can't tell you anymore about the secrets, except to say that if you read carefully, you'll see all kinds of clues leading up to it. :) Right now, I'm reading my way through all of Sabrina Jeffries's books, and my favorite Regency authors are Suzanne Enoch and Sabrina Jeffries. But I also love books about history, architecture, and gardening. I'm still hoping to learn how to stop killing my flowers.
DeleteOh, I do love a man who will wait it out with his lady love for her hand and most definitely if it was a teenage born love. Friends to Lovers~ But him referring her as Brat, the sweetest love ever! =D
Delete"Brat" was the childhood nickname that her brother Thomas gave her, but when Grey met her when she was sixteen and asking him for a kissing lesson, the nickname stuck. My friends who have read the book love that nickname for her, too. It definitely fits when they're arguing!
DeleteEmily's a tough one. Nathaniel is going to have to work hard to get her to marry him.
ReplyDeleteOh, does he ever! He goes to her house every day, sends her flowers (she sends them back, but keeps 1 rose from every dozen, thinking he'll never notice--he does!), writes her love notes, sends her little gifts of paints and pencils...and she refuses, all the while her heart is breaking because she truly loves him.
DeleteAnother great read. I will have to put his on my list.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words! I hope you do put it on your list. I think it's pretty good...but I might be a bit biased! :) If you like strong women who break the Regency romance stereotype, check out the series--I hope you like it!
DeleteHi Anna, your cover for ROGUE is fantastic! All that purple.... Beautiful! I've never read anything by you but I was thinking about getting DUKES. Now I come here and see your covers. I would buy all three books for their covers alone! It would be very nice to win ROGUE. Make my Valentine's Day, Anna! :-) Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI have no control over winner selection (But I will keep my fingers crossed for you!) The covers *are* beautiful, aren't they? I should lie and claim that I did the covers... :) They are certainly unique. I *LOVE* the purple, too, on this one. Just a fun-fact--on DUKES, the flower that Kate is holding in her hand is just like the David Austen rose Grace, of which I have several in my garden.
Deletethose letters are sweet
ReplyDeletedenise
Thank you! *YOU* are sweet for saying so...and thank you for mentioning the letters in your Twitter tweet. I hope you enjoy the book.
DeleteYou are a new author for me. I love historical romance novels. I would love to win one of your books to read. Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteWell, I am very new to writing historical romances, so we're perfectly matched! This is only my second book ever, so I'm still pinching myself over how fortunate I've been. Keeping my fingers crossed that you win!
DeleteYou are a new author for me. I love historical romance novels. I would love to win one of your books to read. Thank you for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read your books before, but this sounds good.
ReplyDeleteThank you! My first book came out in November, Dukes are Forever, and this is the follow-up to that. I hope you give them a chance and that you like them. I had so much fun writing them that I hope everyone enjoys reading them!
DeleteI hope she has a good reason to keep pushing him away!
ReplyDeleteShe *thinks* she does...and she does it because she loves him and wants the best for him. But she doesn't realize that the best for him is her, of course. I wish I could tell you more, but it would give far too much away! I hope you enjoy reading the story.
Deletewhat a lovely letter - even tho it is addressed to 'Brat'!
ReplyDeleteThat's his nickname for her, and sometimes she acts like one (especially when she's pushing him away!) Her brother gave her that nickname when they were kids, and since Grey wants desperately to deny his first feelings for her and think of her as nothing more than a little sister, he uses that name...but that resistance doesn't last long!
DeleteLove these letters! I can't wait for Nate and Emily's story! I loved DUKES ARE FOREVER btw!

DeleteAwww, you are so sweet to say so! Want a special extra scene between DUKES ARE FOREVER and ALONG CAME A ROGUE, which explains why Grey is sent after Emily? Enjoy! http://www.annaharringtonbooks.com/#!newsletter-exclusive--epilogue/cfj1

DeleteSo glad I got introduced to you on this romantic blog hop, Anna! I'm an historical romance junkie. :-) Got your first book this morning on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteOh, excellent! I hope you like it. I've got a soft spot in my heart for Kate and Edward, and Nathaniel Grey pops up into it for some of my favorite exchanges in the novel.
DeleteAnna you're a new Author for me and glad to meet you here. The letters are great. I'm looking forward to reading your books and wish you much success in your writing. Thank you for posting.

Carol, **thank you so much** for your kind words, and I'm pleased to meet you, too! I'm a new author every which way--DUKES ARE FOREVER is the very first romance I've ever written. I hope you enjoy the books, and please consider joining my mailing list on my website to receive all kinds of goodies and extras about the books.
DeleteI'm loving the love letters. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed them! (I was so nervous writing them, I'll admit, although it was so much fun to visit Grey and Emily again.) Keeping my fingers crossed that you win one of the books!
DeleteReally enjoyed your love letter, looking forward to reading Along Came A Rogue :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joy! I had so much fun writing the letters. I hope you enjoy the book.
DeleteJust love the letters but Nathaniel's was so great, I don't think Emily has a chance.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Oh, she doesn't--but she just doesn't realize it yet! And who wouldn't want to surrender to a handsome, adventurous spy?
DeleteThose love letters are great. They sound like a couple of very independent people whose personalities clash just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteYou're right! Which is so conflict-y because they both really love each other and want nothing more than to be together, but they love each other sooooo much that they think it's best for the other one if they stay apart. I'm so glad that came across in the letters.
DeleteI love the purple dress!!!! I can't wait to read Emily and Nate's story! I wonder what secrets she is holding lol
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, too! I love deep jewel tones like that purple and wish I looked exactly like the model...sigh! I can't tell you what those secrets are, but she has several, and they're HUGE!!
DeleteI eagerly await Emily waking up to realize how lucky she is to have a second chance at love with Nate. Beautiful love letters!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! She wakes up, but it takes a lot of convincing from Grey...which makes for some fun reading for us!
DeleteOMGoodness, I thought I'd left a comment the other day...but I guess either my memory or the ethernet is playing tricks on me. :-) In any event, I am excited about your newest, Anna, and look forward to reading it. Thanks for the post and this romantic blog hop! jdh2690@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteBlame the computer, I always do! (although it's getting harder to blame the computer for forgetting where I left my keys. :) )I'm so glad you were able to leave a comment and that you liked the letters--and I hope you like the new book. Emily is precious, even when she's being a brat!
DeleteI love to read about rogues. Thanks for the giveaway chance!
ReplyDeleteAren't rogues just the best heroes? The original bad boys...Keeping my fingers crossed for you for luck in the giveaway.
DeleteI'll definitely have to read it to find out how he wins her hand.
ReplyDeleteWith tenacity, determination, and a rope he uses to swing into her bedroom window. ;) I hope you enjoy it!
DeleteI just Bought your first book yesterday. looking forward to reading it.

DeleteThank you so much! I hope you enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to write. And when you finish, stop by my website to check out the special extended scenes and deleted scenes.
DeleteWhy must those truly in love be so stubborn? If it was easy, there would not be great books to read!
ReplyDeleteOh, so true! And anything gotten too easily is esteemed too lightly (to paraphrase Thomas Paine). I hope you enjoy the book!
