RFTC Hall Pass Event with Kimberly Kincaid

Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2015 RWA RITA® finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Her digital Line series is all about the hot cops and sexy chefs of Brentsville, New York. She is also the author of the Pine Mountain series, which follows small town singles as they find big-time love. Kimberly resides in Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.

There are hot heroes all over romance! But these five make me reach for a cold drink every time...

5. Aiden O'Brien in Gina Maxwell's Fighting For Irish. I'm a sucker for a tough hero with a sense of honor, and Maxwell nailed it with "Irish" O'Brien. He might have the body of an MMA fighter (also a huge win), but he's got a heart of gold under all that toughness, and when it comes to heroine, Kat...he'd do anything to protect her. Yes, please!

4. Henry Beck in Louisa Edwards's Hot Under Pressure. I go all-in for brooders, and Beck has the market cornered. His military background and past wounds make him the kind of hero you just root for, and oh by the way, his dedication to the restaurant where he works in the book is swoon-worthy. Heroes who can cook? Check plus for this girl!

3. Revenant in Larissa Ione's Revenant. There's something about a paranormal hero, especially when he's also been a bit of an anti-hero in the books leading up to his. But Revenant is dark, edgy, and ohhhh so delicious. I was in love with him the first time he hit the page.

2. Alastair de Grey in Meredith Duran's Fool Me Twice. Another brooder, this one to the extreme. Alastair is intense and driven and brilliant--the smart factor goes a long way to making me love a hero. His wounds run deep, but the glimmers of the man underneath and who he becomes during the book...just yes!

1. Adrian Hawker in Joanna Bourne's The Black Hawk. A spy with a dark past and a good heart (way) deep down...you kind of can't go wrong here. Fierce, lethal, smart and sexy. The Hawker definitely makes my hall pass list!

If You Can’t Stand The Heat…

Teagan O’Malley can handle a crisis. She’s a paramedic, it’s her job. But she never expected to land in the kitchen of her father’s pub, with no notice, no cash, and no room for error. The kitchen is not her favorite place. Lucky for her, she just scraped a bad-boy chef off the pavement after a motorcycle accident—and something about him says he can turn up the heat in more ways than one.

Adrian Holt has had a rough few years, and he’s not eager to get tangled up in anything more complicated than a good risotto. But with a broken arm and a head full of bad memories, he needs a challenge to keep him sane. Teagan’s dare-me attitude and smoldering mess of a bar are just what the doctor ordered. And the two of them together might cook up some even better medicine…
