Fall into Romance Event with Susan Meier

A one-time legal secretary and director of a charitable foundation, Susan Meier found her own personal ‘bliss’ when she became a full-time novelist. She’s visited ski lodges and candy factories for “research” and works in her pajamas.

But the real joy of her job is creating stories about women for women. In her sixty published novels, she’s tackled issues like infertility, losing a child and becoming widowed. Her favorite stories are those that inspire laughter through tears.

Susan lives in western Pennsylvania with her own hero, their son and two fabulous felines, Sophia Maria Lolita Conchita Chiquita Banana and Fluffy.

I was honored a few months ago to be asked to write the first Red-Hot Bliss. For those of you who don’t know me, I’ve written “sweet” romances for most of my career. Leading a line of sexy/sweet romances was the perfect challenge.

That book was HER SUMMER WITH THE MARINE and writing it showed me two things. First, I can write a sexy book! LOL But, second, I can still write sweet.

THE TWELVE DATES OF CHRISTMAS is one of my two November releases. It’s the story of a very young widow who is desperately poor because she can’t find a permanent job in New York City. She’s basically hired to be the date of a wealthy guy who wants his friends to believe he has gotten beyond the death of his son. As they go to twelve glamorous parties, they get to know each other and realize they aren’t alone in their sufferings. But kiss? Have a romance? Commit to another person when each has been so broken? It’s the story of the lure of romance as two wonderful characters grow to realize they might just be strong enough to love again. All set in the glittering world of New York City’s elite.

Contrast that with my Red-Hot Bliss – CHASING THE RUNAWAY BRIDE –also releasing in November. The heroine, Piper O’Riley, is paired with her enemy Cade Donovan. Cade’s grandfather won O’Riley’s market from Sean O’Riley thirty years before, and the little town of Harmony Hills, Pennsylvania quickly divided down a line of those who would support the store and those who wouldn’t. In his will, Cade’s grandfather gives half the store to Piper and half to Cade, hoping having someone from each side of the feud run it will end the feud.

But there’s a problem. Cade and Piper aren’t just incredibly attracted…He left her best friend at the altar and she’s been engaged twice. But she’s never felt a zing of attraction with either of her potential grooms, and once she and Cade give in to their attraction, she knows why. The man has sex appeal that just won’t quit and he knows how to use it.

For the first time in her life Piper feels evenly matched with someone and happy. Until she falls in love, knowing Cade’s been burned too badly, by her friend, to ever really love again.

TWELVE DATES is fun and funny and filled with memorable moments as two broken people heal enough to love again. CHASING THE RUN AWAY BRIDE is fun and sexy and has a more than a few memorable moments, as the truth of falling in love hits home for both Cade and Piper. One of them runs again. But this time the jilted party doesn’t go into a corner to lick wounds. There’s a fun, fast-paced, I-didn’t-see-that-coming ending that will have you cheering. (If I do say so myself.)

So…love sexy or love sweet, in November I’ve got just the book for you!

Happy Reading!

Their competition has never been so irresistible.

The last person Ellie McDermott wanted to run into after returning to her hometown is Finn Donovan, her high school nemesis and the guy she crossed the line from enemies to lovers with one night years ago. Now ex-military, tattooed, and still sexy as hell, Finn is a complication Ellie doesn’t need—she needs to concentrate on saving her family business.

Finn’s entire life, Ellie was there, going head-to-head with him in every class, bee, and test. So it’s no surprise she’d show up just as he was about to take over her father’s struggling business. It is a surprise, though, that his attraction to her is even more explosive than it had been. Acting on their attraction is one thing, but Finn has to turn a profit to save his own family, and nothing—not even love—will get in his way.
