Follow Friday #6

Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop put together by two hosts: Parajunkee and Alison Can Read as a way to help bloggers become aware of other blogs and bloggers. It's a great way to make new blogger friends.

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

I would love to be the spunky side-kick. I hate when a lot of attention is on me so I definitely don't want to be the heroine. Now I love reading paranormals, but I honestly think I would pee my pants if I ever came face to face with a real Vampire. So I think it would be interesting to be in a historical romance. I want to be witness to someone falling passionately in love.

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read } and any one else you want to follow on the list.
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers- Belle Books Stuck In Books
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing on Parajunkee's blog.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
  5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
Thanks for stopping by. =)

      Authors After Dark Recap

After trying to figure out what exactly to say to describe my adventure and experience of AADPhilly, I'm still left with a blah feeling. I'm not sure if it's because my expectations were so high or if it was really just not good. I've gone back and forth with wondering if I should post about the negatives(which by far outlast the positives) or if I should just keep this positive. I will say that I am still processing everything that happened over the four day event and a lot, if not most of my feelings are on the negative side.
I feel that the build up(by others) and expectations were not met. Not by far. We were promised many things that just weren't delived. This was from both the con and the hotel that it was in. I personally saw some shady things go down that I'm not that cool with. There were certain people that just couldn't be bothered to take the time out to answer questions. I understand that some things are stressful but come on.
I will say that my best time spent at AADPhilly was with my fellow bloggers and the authors. I had some truly good times that I'll never forget that made the whole event worth it. I met some of my favorite authors and was able to converse with them on such personal levels. I was able to dance the night away with both Larissa Ione and Lara Adrian. I'm sure that if it was a larger con that probably wouldn't have happened. For me, the times I spent getting to know them along with a lot of other great authors made it all worth it.
