ARC Review: Dibs by Kimberly Knight & Rachel Lyn Adams

I have been waiting for Dibs since I finished reading the Off the Field Duet! Dibs is a great standalone follow-up to that series, but don’t worry about being able to understand anything here in case you haven’t read Traded or Outed. I highly recommend them though as they are great and you get to see more of Chase!

Chase and Gage’s second-chance story was everything I hoped it would be! It was so good from start to finish that I didn’t want to put it down and I ended up finishing it in one day! These two were just so great, and I never wanted to leave their world! They were sexy and sweet, and I loved that their relationship was just so natural and genuine. These two were meant to be and it was so obvious that they just fit together perfectly.

Chase and Gage’s story has everything you could want in a great romance, especially for sports fans. This one is sweet and sexy, and entertaining from the very first page. I loved seeing Chase and Gage and their families build a life together as they got to know the adults they had become. Things weren’t always easy for them, but I loved how great they were together and how each struggle just made them stronger. I highly recommend this one, and I am so glad I took a chance on these two authors in 2022 as they were both new to me! I am now a huge fan and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in 2023!

ARC Review: The Teacher of Nothing By K Webster

K Webster is the queen of taboo and I know with each new book of hers she will deliver a delicious and sexy treat. The Teacher of Nothing was no exception and this story definitely didn’t disappoint. I didn’t want to put it down, and it was exactly what I was looking for in a forbidden teacher romance.

Callum is impossible to resist and I loved his possessive and protective personality. He was super hot and I loved him for Willa. He was so intense and had been through a lot, so it was easy to see how he was the way he was. Willa was strong despite all that she was going through as well, and I loved seeing her come into her own as this book progressed.

I also really loved the rest of the Parks, and I honestly can’t wait for more! Spencer, Dempsey and Gemma are all really interesting characters and I loved how they all immediately took to Willa, even before knowing of her relationship with Callum. This one was a great read, and I can’t recommend it enough to fans of K Webster or forbidden Teacher/Student romances!

ARC Review: The Rules of Dating by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are two of my all-time favorite authors. I honestly just love each of them as solo authors, but also when they co-write! They never disappoint and I know I am going to love whatever I read from them. The Rules of Dating was no exception! I was invested right away and didn’t want to put this book down.

I loved the way this book started. It had me cracking up right away and I was hooked! Billie and Colby were easy to like and I felt the chemistry between them right away. I loved their undated and how genuine things were between them. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters here as well and was so glad to see we are getting another book in this world about one of them!

This book was everything I love about Vi and Penelope’s books, and romance novels in general. It was sweet and sexy, funny and entertaining. I think contemporary romance fans will love this one as much as I did and I highly recommend it! I already can’t wait for the next one!

ARC Review: The Do-Over by TL Swan

I am such a huge fan of TL Swan’s and her Miles High Club series is one of my all-time favorites! So to say I’ve been both anxiously awaiting but yet also dreading the end of this series is an understatement. It’s so bittersweet ,but The Do-Over and Christopher were both so amazing and I honestly can’t wait to go back and read about the Miles brothers again! This series is one I recommend to everyone that is a fan of romance.

The Do-Over was a lot different than I was expecting, yet I really loved it! Christopher was so much more than you’d expect at first glance and I honestly loved him so much. He was funny and witty, sweet and sexy. I loved him and Hayden, their chemistry was there right from the start. I loved seeing their friendship grow and strengthen as this story progressed and I loved seeing their interactions with the rest of the characters as well, especially Eddie!

This book might have had a different feel than the rest of the series, but it was such a good story and I honestly loved seeing a different side to Christopher than I expected. I was so sad to finish this book even though I loved it, but with TL Swan’s announcement of Miles Ever After, her novel of extended epilogues for the Miles brothers, she has given us something to look forward to with all these beloved characters! I seriously cannot recommend this series enough, if you haven’t already read them, you are missing out! Can’t wait for Swan’s next book, but especially more of these amazing brothers and their families.

ARC Review: Moody by Penelope Ward

I absolutely loved Moody by Penelope Ward! While Penelope is a favorite author of mine and I love all her books, this one is right up there with my favorites from her and maybe even takes the top spot! Moody is Penelope Ward at her best, and I stayed up way past my bedtime finishing this one!

Wren and Dax were captivating and I was hooked from the first page. I honestly felt so much for both of these characters and I’ll admit that I am a sucker for forbidden romance. This book was so much more than that though! Angsty and emotional, I was so connected to these two and everything felt so real and genuine. Like I was right there with them, feeling all the highs and lows as they did.

This book is best read going in with no spoilers, having no idea what will happen next or how things will play out. But trust me when I tell you that you’ll love where you end up. Penelope Ward never disappoints, and this one is an absolute must-read. I honestly cannot recommend Moody enough. After finishing, I immediately wanted to start the book all over again because I wasn’t ready to leave any of these characters behind. I can’t wait for whatever Penelope writes next, but this one is definitely going to be tough to top!

ARC Review: In Chaos We Reign by Amo Jones

In Chaos We Reign is the fourth and final book in the Midnight Mayhem series by Amo Jones, and I am honestly sad to see it come to an end. I’ve really enjoyed each book and seeing how things have gone from the start to how they ended here. I also really loved seeing the Kings over the course of this series as well and I love how all the pieces fit together. While this book could technically be considered a standalone since it is about a different couple, I would not recommend reading out of order. Trust me, these books are best read starting at the beginning and going in blind for full enjoyment.

Cartier and Keaton’s story is one I have been waiting for, and one of my personal favorite tropes (brother’s best friend). I loved the connection and chemistry between these two and the forbidden element. These two didn’t have an easy journey, as anyone familiar with Amo’s work would come to expect. I do wish that we had a bit more of these two and their relationship though, as I feel they got a bit lost here at times and their story was a bit of a sub-plot rather than being the focus of this book.

I also think that for me personally, the organization and flow of this book suffered a bit. This is something I’ve come to expect a bit with Amo’s stories. While I love all the twists and turns, at times it can be hard to keep everything straight and the timeline is hard to distinguish. There was a lot of that here, and I’ll admit there were a few times I was a bit confused. I think that in the end I had a better understanding of some of the story looking back and why certain things happened, but I felt lost quite a bit of the time in the second half of the book and would have liked to have had things a bit more clear at times. Maybe if we had known a bit more about Cartier at times that would have helped, but overall I still really enjoyed the story and the conclusion to this series.

While this one wasn’t my favorite of the series, I have come to love this world and these characters and I highly recommend it to anyone that hasn’t read it yet. If you’ve read the previous books in the series, this one is a must read. I am looking forward to going back and reading all of the books from start to finish now that the series is finished and I can’t wait to experience Midnight Mayhem all over again.

ARC Review: Dear Heart, I Miss You by Eliah Greenwood

Dear Heart, I Miss You is the continuation of Finn and Dia’s story, so if you haven’t already read Dear Heart, I Hate You, you’ll need to start there. I also highly recommend reading Dear Love, I Hate You, the first book in the series. Xavier and Aveena are great and I think it really sets up this series, plus it’s just a fantastic book!

This series has become one of my favorites, as has Eliah Greenwood. Her talent for writing just seems to get better with each new book I read from her, and this one was no exception. After the cliffhanger we were left with in the previous book, I was anxious for more. While reading this book, I understood exactly why things played out the way they did, because it was meant to be that way.

Finn and Dia had so much more to learn and both had to grow up. Seeing their journeys is something I’ll never forget. Each of them had their strengths and their vulnerabilities and they both felt so real and genuine. It was as if I was right there experiencing everything with them. My heart both broke and soared for each of them at times, and I felt so connected to them.

This book was intense at times, and definitely had me feeling all the emotions. That said, it was absolutely perfect and I truly feel this one went exactly the way it should have. It was well worth the wait, and I’ll never get over Finn and Dia! I highly recommend this one, and already can’t wait to see what Eliah Greenwood writes next!

ARC Review: The Boss Project by Vi Keeland

I absolutely love Vi Keeland's stories! She never disappoints and as soon as I finish one, I already cannot wait to see what she'll write next! The Boss Project was everything I have come to love from her, and each new book she releases just hits every time!

Evie and Merrick were great together! I loved seeing how things started between them, and the evolution of their relationship over the course of this book. They were so good for one another, exactly what the other needed and their connection was so genuine. Their relationship had an ease to it, even if things weren't easy for them after all they'd each been through. Their chemistry was super hot and I couldn't get enough of the steam between them.

It also has to be mentioned that Kitty made this book! Her bond with each of these two was so fun to read about! I highly recommend this one! It has everything you could want, steam, humor, a swoon-worthy hero and likeable heroine. I can't wait to see what Vi Keeland has ready for us next!

ARC Review: The Assignment by Penelope Ward

The Assignment by Penelope Ward is a sweet and heartwarming story and I really enjoyed it! I found this one to be a cute and easy to read book that was exactly what I was looking for in between some heavier reads. I think contemporary fans will really like this one!

This book features a cast of real and genuine characters that I had a great time getting to know. Aspyn and Troy are both flawed characters, yet somehow together they are perfect. I loved seeing their relationship progress from enemies to friends with benefits and ultimately more. They were truly a case of your past does not define you, and it is never to late to turn things around and grow both individually and in a relationship. I loved the way things evolved and the heat between them.

I also really loved the side characters here, Aspyn’s niece Kiki, Troy’s grandfather Louie and father Giovanni. Each one had a hand in helping these two figure things out, and Troy’s grandfather was super cute. Overall, the emotion and steam here made this book a quick and easy read for me and was exactly what I have come to expect and love from Penelope Ward. Her books always leave me feeling happy and anxious for the next one. The Assignment was no different, and I recommend this one for contemporary fans!

Review: Don't You Dare by CE Ricci

I have become a huge fan of CE Ricci's since reading her River of Rain duet. Having devoured every book she has out since, I honestly couldn't wait for Don't You Dare. This book is different from what she has released previously, but it was every bit as good! I cannot even begin to put into words how much I love her books, but if you are a fan of M/M romance, she is a must read.

While she normally does enemies to lovers stories, Don't You Dare centers around best friends Aspen and Keene. These two are the friendship that everyone hopes to have in their life, the kind that would go to the ends of the earth and back for one another. I loved their bond and the fact that it had been so strong since childhood just made this one that much sweeter. Of course everything changed with a single dare when they kiss and from there I couldn't get enough of them. Seeing how they each struggled with their feelings and everything they thought they knew about themselves made me want to hug each of them. But it was clear that these two were meant for so much more than just friendship with one another. They were sexy and steamy, and I could not put this one down as they explored everything that was growing and changing between them.

I'm so glad that CE Ricci took a chance on writing something different because it absolutely paid off here. Keene and Aspen's story was perfect, emotional and sexy and captivating from start to finish. I am new to her books, but I have become such a huge fan and honestly can't wait to read everything from her that she writes in the future. If you are a fan of M/M books, she is a must read author and this one was fantastic.
