Places to find Jennifer:

Dear Reader:

Welcome back to the world of the Shifters! Mate Claimed focuses on Eric (brother of Cassidy, whom you met in Wild Cat) and Iona, the half human, half Shifter Eric saw sitting at a club in Wild Cat.

At that time, if you recall, Eric realized Iona was just entering her fertile years, and he knows how dangerous that will be for her. If Iona can’t contain herself, she could go feral, meaning the beast in her will take over, until she’s dangerous to herself and everyone around her, including her human mother and half-sister, whom she dearly loves.

Eric’s solution—mate-claim her, teach her to be Shifter, and mate with her fully.

Iona finds the mysterious and dangerous Eric intriguing, but she wishes the man would stop driving her insane. She can’t help thinking about the night he fed her luscious chocolates in the dark silence of a deserted parking lot, but she vows never to acknowledge publicly that she’s Shifter, fearing backlash against her mother for hiding her.

Eric has problems of his own. His Shiftertown is being consolidated with another that the humans are shutting down. That Shiftertown was all-wolf, run by a Lupine, Graham, who hates Felines like Eric, not to mention the fact that he’s had to step down as Shiftertown leader. Graham has made it clear that he’s not going to concede easily, and he’s more or less already challenged Eric for position as the Alpha.

Not only that, but Eric has been having episodes of unexplained pain, possibly left over from experiments performed on him long ago. And there’s evidence that someone, somewhere has started experiments on Shifters again.

Cassidy and Diego are back in this installment, Cassidy very pregnant and ready to have her first cub. Iona is drawn into Shiftertown despite her misgivings, where she learns about the closeness of the families, their secrets, and the lengths they’ll go to in order to protect those secrets.

You’ll also meet the hero of the next book, Tiger, a very special Shifter. You’ll learn why when you meet him! For his book, we’ll be returning to the Austin Shiftertown, which I know everyone loves.

I hope you enjoy the Shifters and their stories once again!

Best,
Jennifer Ashley

Eric Warden knows that half-Shifter wildcat Iona is passing for human, living without a Collar in the human world. He also knows that if she does not acknowledge her Shifter nature and her mating hunger, it could kill her. Iona finds the mysterious and dangerous Eric, a wildcat and leader of his Shiftertown, haunting her dreams, but she vows never to "come out" and take the Collar, fearing backlash against her mother and sister for hiding the fact that she's Shifter. But Eric is a compelling Shifter male, and Iona's hunger calls to him.

  1. I am partial to a cat shifter. Cats are silent yet well loved. They only move when they have to and enjoy being petted. I would prefer being feline vs canine, I have issues with the sniffing dogs do!

  7. Thanks everyone for stopping by! Love the comment about sniffing dogs, LOL. And dragons collecting shiny things. :-)

I'm torn between dragon and big cat. Maybe big cat would be easier--I live in a small but cozy house. Dragon wouldn't fit. Big cat would love my nice comfy sofa. (My small cats sure do anyway).

Keep the comments coming, and thanks for letting me guest blog!

  11. I am partial to rat shifters. They are small, cute, cuddly and scare some people. Especially if I could shift myself into a huge rat...I mean how cool would it be to be able to stop the bad guys while being a 500lb rat?

I love the shifters Unbound series, I've bee a huge fan since the first book.

  14. I'd be either a dragon (because I think they are beautiful and way cool) or a dinosaur, like a T-Rex. Yeah, I'd be ugly, but I'd be at the top of the food chain :)

  25. I guess that I would have to pick either a black panther or a dragon shifter. Black cats are all sleek muscle with claws, teeth and stealth and dragons a just plain cool. I love Jennifer's books and can't wait to read Mate Claimed! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  31. A tiger or panther. Strong, sleek and graceful.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'd choose to be a black panther shifter or maybe a dragon. The panther because they're beautiful, sleek and oh so deadly and the dragon because they project such a powerful image as well as being powerful and deadly.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I would be a tiger, because I love cats.

    ReplyDelete
  34. A wolf because they are my favorite. Thanks for the chance to win!

  35. I would be a jaguar shifter. I think it would be great to be able to shift to this beautiful cat. Running through the night, wind blowing by my ears, the scent of a rabbit hiding in the brush. To have the feel of the ground under my padded feet would feel wonderful. To growl my frustration when the rabbit gets away.
