ARC Review: Forever Tattooed by Alicia Rae

Forever Tattooed is the third and final installment in the Tattooed Billionaire series by Alicia Rae. This book continues the story of Damien and Raelyn and should only be read after Tattooed Emotions and Tattooed Scars. If you haven't read those yet, make sure you start there and are aware that there will be spoilers in this review for those two books. I have been waiting for this book since the minute that I finished Tattooed Scars, and I needed to see how things would end for these two. While I was ultimately happy with where they ended up, I am torn about this book itself.

Raelyn has made it through her health scare, but she is different from the woman she once was. As she struggles to regain her life and ease back into her career, she longs for Damien to finally open up to her. Damien would do anything for Raelyn, but the one thing he plans on never doing is revisiting his past. He knows that if Raelyn knew the truth, that she would leave him and he knows that he can't lose her. But will Damien's inability to fully let Raelyn in be what causes him to lose her once and for all, or will he finally open up to her about his past so that they can have a future together?

I have loved Raelyn and Damien since the very start of this series, and that wasn't any different here. These two are absolutely meant to be together, and have had more than their share of obstacles thrown their way. I wanted nothing more than for them to finally get their HEA, but I knew that it wouldn't be easy. While I loved that things finally seemed to be resolved with Raelyn's health, I hated that Damien continued to hold back when it came to letting Raelyn know about his past. He was so scared to lose her, and yet he didn't seem to realize that they love they had was strong enough to withstand anything but his inability to let her in. What I hated the most was that when it came down to it, he never did open up to her until his hand was forced. Raelyn should have found out from Damien what he had been through, not through someone else and that made me lose some respect for his character. These two still had a lot of chemistry and a stong connection, but I just wanted him to finally let her in and it just felt like he never actually did it because he loved her but instead because he had to.

My other problem with this book is that while we did finally get closure, it felt like this book wasn't entirely necessary. There was a lot that felt like it could have been condensed here, and much of it dragged on. Even though I love these characters, I was a bit disappointed with this final chapter in their story. I think that their story could have easily been resolved in a couple of books or even a couple of books and a novella. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed this series and how things turned out for all the characters. But this book felt as though much of it was filler or content to stretch the story out and it could have been much shorter. Alicia Rae is still a go to author for me when it comes to contemporary romance, and if you like sweet and heartfelt romance novels you definitely need to check her books out.

ARC Review: Tattooed Scars by Alicia Rae

Tattooed Scars is the second book in the Tattooed series from Alicia Rae. This book is not a standalone as it continues Raelyn and Damien's story. Readers should start with Tattooed Emotions before reading this story. I couldn't wait to dive into this one after the way things left off in TE, and I wasn't disappointed. Alicia Rae is one of my favorite authors, and I always know that I will enjoy her books.

Raelyn Jennings and Damien Heathman didn't plan on falling in love, but they know that what they share is the kind of love you only find once in a lifetime. Though their love is stronger than anything they have felt before, their pasts threaten to destroy everything. Raelyn has a life changing decision that only she can make, and Damien's secrets resurface as he tries to focus on his future with Raelyn.

I loved these two in the first book, and I loved them even more here. Raelyn did frustrate me a few times, but it was completely understandable. While I wanted her to handle things a bit differently than she did, I really felt for her. She was in a terrible situation and regardless of what she did it wouldn't be an easy choice. Damien was so fantastic here. He was still the same sexy and commanding guy that we had met before, but his love for Raelyn here was beyond anything words can describe. He showed just how supportive he could be and I really believed that he would go to the ends of the earth for Raelyn. Their connection is undeniable and their chemistry was as strong as ever. But their relationship and bond just continues to intensify and I loved seeing how these two pulled together and were able to lean on each other here.

Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I am already looking forward to the next chapter of their story, Forever Tattooed, which is set to release in March 2016. I love all of Alicia Rae's books that I have read, but I find that I am especially loving Damien and Raelyn's books. Alicia Rae is a talented writer that always evokes such raw emotions and shows her readers what true and unconditional love is, and that is definitely the case with the Tattooed series. I highly recommend any of her books if you haven't had the chance to read her work yet. Her characters are always so genuine and easy to relate to, and her stories are emotional and heartfelt. Alicia Rae is an author that is at the top of my auto-buy list, and I really would read anything with her name on it at this point.

ARC Review: Tattooed Emotions by Alicia Rae

I will be completely honest and admit that I had no clue what Tattooed Emotions was about before I started reading it. I saw Alicia Rae's name on it and that was all I needed. I have become a huge fan of hers, and she has yet to ever disappoint me. Her stories are heartfelt and emotional, and I have complete trust in her to do justice to each of her characters. If you haven't read anything by Alicia Rae before and you are a fan of contemporary romance, you are seriously missing out. With each new book of hers, she continues to blow me away!

After surviving against all odds, Raelyn Jennings decides to throw herself into her work. She co-owns a successful accounting firm with one of her closest friends, and she knows that is all she needs to be happy. So when her friend asks her to take on his biggest account in order for him to dedicate his time to bringing in some new clients, Raelyn jumps on the chance. Though Heathman Enterprises has been their client for years, Cale was always the one that dealt with Damien Heathman. The chemistry between Raelyn and Damien is instant though, and as hard as she tries to keep things professional she finds that Damien isn't willing to give up when he wants something. Damien will stop at nothing to convince Raelyn to give them a chance, but with them both having secrets about their pasts, could their chance be over before it even starts?

I loved these two right from the start. Raelyn is a fighter. She is strong and smart, and I really just felt like she was one of those heroines that is instantly likable. She had been through so much, and yet she was positive and good and she was never once whiny or annoying. It was so refreshing to see a heroine like her, and she is definitely one of my favorite heroines yet from Alicia Rae. Damien was confident and sexy, but he wasn't a jerk. He was very much a dominant and alpha man that was easy to like. But beneath the surface, he had a past that continued to mess with him. We get to see a few pieces here as they were revealed, but there is a ton more that I feel like we haven't even begun to learn about him. It was heartbreaking to see all that these two had already been through, and all that they will have to face. The one thing that was clear though is that these two have an undeniable connection, and I really believe that though times may be rough for them, that with each other they can get through anything.

I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, Tattooed Scars, and I can't wait to see what happens next for these two. While this book didn't end with a huge cliffhanger, there is definitely more to their story and things are left unfinished. I was so glad that we would get more of these two, but there is so much ahead for them after the way things ended that I know it isn't going to be an easy journey. Alicia Rae is one of those authors though that I know will get them to exactly where they should be, and I have complete faith that Damien and Raelyn are in good hands. Thankfully we don't have to wait much longer for the next installment of their story, which is currently scheduled for a November release. I highly recommend this one or any of Alicia Rae's books, and I can't wait to see what she writes next!

ARC Review: Endless Fate by Alicia Rae

Endless Fate is the third and final installment in the Fate for Love series by Alicia Rae. This is the conclusion to Paige and Colton's story, and needs to be read in order. If you haven't read the previous two books you will need to start there. I have been waiting to see how things would play out for these two after everything that they had been through, and I was really happy with how things ended. I have loved these two from the beginning, and their journey has been one that I have really enjoyed.

As Colton and Paige continue to rebuild the ranch, their friends and family rally around to support them. But Paige is struggling with the knowledge that she took a human life, and she would do it again in a heartbeat. She knows that she needs to let Colton in and allow him to help her, yet she wants to be the strong woman that he deserves standing at his side. Just as they start to move forward with their lives, a new danger threatens to tear them apart once again. Can Colton and Paige find a way to make the newest threat go away for good? Or will their forever be stolen from them?

I have loved Paige and Colton from the beginning of this series, and that has never changed. Each book has showed them growing and changing, both as individuals and as a couple. Their love has always been deep and true. These two were meant to be together, and have been close since they were kids. But they are no strangers to struggle, and have had more than their fair share of obstacles. I really felt like they have always been able to lean on each other for support and encouragement though, even when it looked like they were trying to shut the other out. Their connection was too strong to ever allow them to remain apart for long, and they have the kind of love that can endure all. That was never more apparent to me than it was here, and they continued to show just how perfect they were for one another.

I will say that there was quite a bit of drama in this book, and for the most part it was something that I hadn't expected. While it made sense in a way, it also felt a bit forced to me. I just didn't believe that after everything that had happened that this kind of thing could really take place and not be stopped or noticed by others around them. I don't want to spoil anything for those that haven't read, so I am trying to be as vague about it as I can. But I just thought that the actions of the person causing the latest issues was a bit much and I didn't understand how that person could have been the way that they were with all the information that they had. Not only that, but the people in the community with how they treated Paige and Colton. It just didn't sit right for me and I didn't see how they would be able to act the way they did with the information available. I did like how everything ended though, and I could not have loved Paige and Colton more. It was great to see familiar faces as their friends and family helped them out, and it never gets old getting glimpses into the HEAs of characters that I have read about and loved. I know that I will read whatever Alicia Rae comes up with next, and I cannot wait for her next book.

ARC Review: Boundless Fate by Alicia Rae

Boundless Fate is the second book in the Fate for Love series by Alicia Rae. This book is the continuation of Colton and Paige's story, so make sure that you read these in order. I have been waiting for this book since I finished the first one, and I couldn't wait to get more of Colton and Paige. Alicia Rae definitely didn't disappoint, and I loved getting more of these characters. If you are looking for great contemporary romance stories, look no further than Alicia Rae. Her writing is so good, and you can't help but fall in love with her sweet and heartwarming stories.

After the tragic loss of his property due to arson, Colton Kingston is determined to get to the bottom of what happened even if it means investigating on his own. He knows that in order to protect his girl, he has to send her away. He doesn't want Paige getting caught up in his mess and being in danger though he knows he will miss having her at his side. But after finally coming back from her own tragic accident, Paige Summers is willing to do whatever it takes to be the woman that Colton needs even if that means not allowing him to continue to push her away. Though Paige is determined to remain at Colton's side, with each step forward they make they are brought more destruction and heartbreak. Can Paige and Colton find out who is responsible for trying to wreck their lives and stop them before it ruins them forever?

I love Paige and Colton so much. These two have such a special story and connection. I love that they have been the only ones for each other since they were five years old. They connect on every level, and the passion they share for their way of life really shows in everything they do. These two live and breathe horses and ranch life, and they are so perfect for one another. Their love is unconditional, and I love that though they don't always agree with decisions the other makes their love never waivers. They give each other exactly what they need, knowing the other better than they know themselves. The chemistry between Paige and Colton has always been off the charts, but it is so much more than just physical attraction for these two. There is literally no one else who would ever work for either of them and that is what makes them so special. These two are meant to be together, and I love that the obstacles they face are outside their relationship rather that with each other.

Overall, this was a great installment in this series and I am already anxious for more! I can't wait to get more of these characters and see what happens next. I loved seeing Paige get back to who she was before her accident. She really showed how strong she could be for Colton and that she would stand by him no matter what happened. It was also really great to see the gang from the Beautiful series! I love those characters so much, and their friendship with Paige and Colton is so much fun to see. They all view each other as family and would do anything for one another. I highly recommend this series as well as the Beautiful series. You honestly cannot go wrong with a book by Alicia Rae! She is one of my go to authors, and I think I would buy anything with her name on it at this point. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series as well as whatever else she writes in the future.

ARC Review: Enduring Fate by Alicia Rae

I am a huge fan of Alicia Rae's, and I have loved every story I have read by her. So I was super excited to see that she had a new series coming out. I always know that when I start one of her books I am going to really lose myself in a well written and heartfelt story. Enduring Fate was everything that I had been hoping for, and it proved once again why I love Alicia's writing. This book was sweet and emotional, and I am already waiting for the next book!

Colton Kingston and Paige Summers have loved each other since they were children. They always knew that their fate was to be together, and have been pursuing their dreams together since they could remember. But after a tragedy struck, Paige suddenly began to question everything. She left town and asked Colton for space while she tried to pick up the pieces and figure out what to do with her life. Now she is back and things between them are different. The love they once shared might have changed, but it is still there for both of them and Colton will do whatever it takes to not let go of Paige this time around. But when even more obstacles get in their way, Colton and Paige must figure out if their love can endure all.

I loved Colton. He was beyond sweet and thoughtful, and I loved how devoted he was to Paige. His love for Paige never wavered, and he would do absolutely anything for her. He was protective and caring, but without being controlling or overbearing. I loved everything about him, and I thought that he was perfect for Paige. Paige was great as well, and she had a sweetness to her that was completely true. She was kind and caring, and you could just instantly tell that she had a goodness to her that you don't often see. She had been through a lot though, and my heart really hurt for her and everything she was going through. While trying to heal herself physically from an accident that had happened, she was also trying to heal herself emotionally as well. She was struggling so much, and the guilt of everything that had happened really weighed on her. I loved seeing Colton support and encourage her though, and by his showing her things he also started to bring her back. She thought that she no longer fit with the world they had grown up in, but Colton did everything he could to show her that wasn't true. These two had such history together, and their connection was undeniable. They had loved each other for so long, and you could see that it was a love that was true and rare. They had great chemistry, and were one of those couples that would almost make you sick if it wasn't so adorable.

Overall, I thought that this was a really great book! I loved seeing characters from Alicia Rae's Beautiful series, and it was nice to catch up a bit with them. But Colton and Paige really grabbed a hold of my heart and I need more of them. I will warn you that Enduring Fate does end on a cliffhanger, and it kills me to have to wait. But trust me when I tell you that this book is definitely worth the read. The next book is scheduled to come out in March of 2015 as of now, and it honestly can't get here soon enough! I highly recommend Enduring Fate as well as the rest of Alicia Rae's books. If you haven't read anything by her yet, you are seriously missing out on some great stories. Alicia Rae is quickly becoming one of my favorite contemporary romance writers, and at this point I would literally read anything with her name on it.

ARC Review: A Beautiful Purpose by Alicia Rae

A Beautiful Purpose is the sixth book in Alicia Rae's Beautiful Series, but can easily be read as a standalone. I would recommend starting at the beginning though as the books are fantastic and you don't want to miss a single thing about these characters! I have loved these books since the start, and the characters in this series are some of my all time favorites. I was really intrigued by this book because up until this point, Blake has only been mentioned a few times and we really didn't know much about him. I really enjoyed his story, and it was great getting to know him better.

Blake Johnson has been serving his country as a Marine for the last eight years. But after everything that he has seen and done, he is finally back home for some time off until he decides what to do next. When he meets Audrey Hampton through his brothers and their friends, he is instantly drawn to her. Audrey is closed off though and doesn't allow others in, even her longtime friends. But Blake is determined to get through her tough shell and won't give up easily. The more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. But Audrey is convinced that she will never fall in love or get married after what her parents have put her through for so many years. But can Blake show Audrey that love is worth taking a chance on?

I really liked Blake. He was sweet and kind, loyal and genuine. He was a soldier through and through, and felt that his purpose was to help others and serve his country. I loved how dedicated he was, even when he struggled with what direction his life should take next. He was exactly what Audrey needed, and I was glad that he didn't give up easily. He fought for what he wanted, and he showed Audrey that he was always there for her. Audrey was sweet and loyal as well. She dropped everything in her life in order to help her parents, even when they didn't deserve it. She put up with so much from them and never asked for anything but love in return. I felt so bad for everything that she had been through, and I was so glad that she had Blake to lean on. It was great to see him show her how to have fun and want things for herself for once.

Blake and Audrey were really cute together, and I loved seeing these two get to know one another. They had a lot of chemistry together, and I thought that they were perfect for one another. This series is so great, and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed each story in this series. Alicia Rae always delivers a well written story filled with real and believable characters that are easy to relate to and that you enjoy rooting for. A Beautiful Purpose was no exception, and I honestly can't wait to read more from her in the future. I highly recommend the Beautiful series if you haven't already read these books, and I think they offer something for everyone.

ARC Review: A Beautiful Thought by Alicia Rae

A Beautiful Thought is the fifth book in Alicia Rae's Beautiful series, and I have loved every single book so far. I have been anxiously awaiting this one because I absolutely loved Damon right from the start. Seeing him through the previous books really drew me to his character and I have wanted to get to know him better and see him get his HEA. This book was every bit as good as the rest of the books in this series, and I always end each book feeling happy. Alicia Rae is a fantastic writer, and I adore her characters. This book can be read as a standalone and you do not need to have read the previous books, but I would highly recommend reading them all because they are so good and it is really great to see how the characters are all connected.

When Gail's hours at work are cut back, it becomes hard for her to fulfill her financial commitments while also helping her parents provide for her autistic sister. Gail's best friend Abbey comes up with a great solution to help her lessen the financial strain. Abbey suggests that Gail ask Abbey's fiance's brother Damon to move in as a roommate and help her split the bills. Damon has just started a business with Kyle and Jason, and is looking for a place temporarily while he decides if he should relocate permanently. Damon and Gail are attracted to each other from the first moment that they meet, and both are unsure how living together will work. But they decide to give it a try. Soon they are getting to know one another better and are finding it hard to avoid the connection and attraction between them. They decide to see what is between them, and before long are falling for one another. But with Damon still not decided on if he will live there permanently and with the possibility of a job on the other side of the country, the future of their relationship is uncertain. Damon and Gail will have to make the choice of if their future together is worth making a sacrifice in his career, or is it possible to figure out a way to have it all?

I really loved Damon. He has been great from the beginning of this series, and I really loved his relationship with his brothers and his cousin Lily. But it was really nice to see a whole other side to him in this book, and to finally get to know him better. He was sweet and thoughtful, and I really liked how great he was with Gail and her family. He seemed to be interested in her from the start and didn't have a ton of commitment issues which I really enjoyed. He was open to meeting her family and helping them in any way that he could, even when Gail tried to fight him on it. I also really liked Gail. She was so dedicated to her family and those that she loved, and she was willing to do whatever it took to help them out. She worked so hard, and she didn't ask for anything in return. She also didn't feel like helping those around her was an obligation, and it made me like her so much more because she genuinely just wanted to help despite getting nothing back. I liked seeing her open up to Damon, and give him a chance after having been hurt in the past. It was really nice to see her take the risk because of her feelings and the connection between them. I thought that they had great chemistry, and they also were just a really great match for each other.

Overall, I really loved this book. I think that this series is a must read, and I would definitely start at the beginning even though it isn't necessary. To me, these books are ones that pretty much anyone can relate to and I think it is because of the fantastic characters. Alicia Rae has a way of bringing these unique and deep characters to life and making them likable and extremely personable. I love her writing style, and each book I have read of hers is always well written. I do think that this book had the relationship develop a bit quickly, but honestly it still felt real to me. I could see the attraction between Gail and Damon, but I also felt like they were developing a strong emotional bond as well. If you haven't read this series yet, you are definitely missing out. I can't wait to read more from Alicia Rae in the future, and look forward to seeing what she writes next!

Review: Beautiful Ties by Alicia Rae

Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely love the Beautiful series by Alicia Rae. I first fell in love with Lily and Kyle, and as they got closer and we were introduced to their families I began to fall in love with those characters as well. I have been waiting to get Abbey and Jason's story, and this one was definitely worth the wait. These books are written so well and are so heartfelt and beautiful. I honestly cannot recommend these enough. If you are looking for must read romance stories that will draw you in instantly and make you fall in love right along with the characters then these are definitely the books for you.

Abbey is a hardworking and successful businesswoman who works alongside her brother Kyle. She has watched him fall in love with Lily and also seen her brother Ryan fall in love as well. She wants the same thing for herself. When she meets Lily's cousin and Kyle's new business partner Jason, sparks instantly fly between them. Abbey is determined to keep things professional though since they work together. Despite being drawn to each other, Abbey does her best to turn him down, but Jason isn't taking no for an answer. Jason begins to win her over though, and soon she realizes that he has a place in her heart. But Abbey tries to balance work and her new relationship with Jason, she also strikes up a friendship with her seven year old neighbor who always seems sad and lonely. As Abbey begins to grow closer to Pearl, she realizes that something is not right with her home life and sets out to make things better for her. But can she find a way to have a relationship with Jason and Pearl, or will she have to sacrifice one in order to keep the other?

I really liked Jason before reading this book, but after this one I loved him. He was so sweet and kind and really thoughtful. He took care of Abbey and respected her as well as her ambition to be successful in her career. He was really great with Pearl though also, and I loved seeing that side of him as well. He was able to be serious and protective, but also playful and loving. Abbey was hardworking and devoted to doing her job well, but she was also so kind and open when it came to caring for others. She was determined to help Pearl because she wanted to and liked her not because she felt like she needed to or out of pity. I thought that her and Jason worked well together and were a great pair. But they also had a ton of chemistry and a really strong emotional connection as well. They were really hot together and had plenty of steam, but they were also able to give Pearl a great place to feel comfortable and loved.

I really loved everything about this book, and Alicia Rae impresses me so much with each new book of hers that I read. I love her writing style, and I always feel so invested in her characters and their HEAs. The characters are always unique and different, and full of depth. I thought that Jason and Abbey's relationship was so real and believable, and their story could not have been written better in my opinion. I felt like everything was so true to their characters, and I really loved how everything played out for them. I honestly can't wait to see what Alicia Rae has in store for Jason's brother Damon and Abbey's best friend Gail next. These books are must reads, and I think they offer something for every romance fan out there. The characters are likable and easy to relate to and will have you rooting for them the entire way through.

Review: My Beautiful by Alicia Rae

My Beautiful is the second book in the Beautiful series by Alicia Rae. Kyle and Lily's story continues in this book, and should only be read if you have already read Beautiful Chances. This series is one that I have really enjoyed, and I find myself becoming lost in Kyle and Lily's beautiful story. There is so much to overcome and yet their love makes that possible. If you haven't read this series yet, you should definitely check it out. This series will make you experience so many different emotions, and yet you just can't help but fall in love right along with the characters of the story.

With Kyle's help, Lily has begun the difficult path of moving forward with her life. At the end of Beautiful Chances Kyle asked Lily to move in with him at his Lake Tahoe house and leave Florida behind. Luckily, Alicia Rae didn't make readers wait long to find out what Lily's answer is. As Lily and Kyle begin to move toward a future together, there are many things that first need to be dealt with. Lily has begun to see a professional and share her feelings and thoughts. Lily also must deal with everything that her family left behind, including the house in Colorado. As Lily begins to heal with Kyle's help, she realizes just how much she needed him in her life. Even though letting someone in and loving someone again scares her, she knows that her and Kyle feel right together. Lily also begins to reconnect with her family and those that she left behind. With Lily's stalker still out there though, things begin to escalate and soon Lily is being threatened more than ever. Will Lily and Kyle be able to have the future together that they envision, or will the opportunity of forever be taken away from them?

I loved Lily and Kyle in the first book, but I loved them even more after reading My Beautiful. Lily and Kyle really are perfect for each other, and it shows in everything they do. Their love and connection is so strong and solid. They are always there for each other and push the other to be better. I love how intense their feelings are and their amazing chemistry, but I also really love their playfulness as well. These two can go from being serious to playful, to absolutely steamy and it all works so seamlessly. They have a natural fit together and the ease of their relationship is something really rare. I absolutely love the fact that when it comes to their relationship there is never a ton of drama. The drama in these books is saved for things outside the relationship, and their bond is unshakable in the face of anything. Lily and Kyle seem so real and believable and their relationship has always felt the same to me. I know that Lily and Kyle will always be a favorite book couple of mine and that I will reread their story in the future. These two grab a hold of your heart and refuse to let go.

Overall, this series just keeps getting better. I really enjoyed this story and thought that it was beautifully written. I think the characters are ones that most readers can identify with and and very easy to relate to. The connection between Lily and Kyle continues to grow as they face their troubles together and I love watching them heal and move on together. I think that these two have off the charts chemistry and their steamy scenes never disappoint. I do feel like sometimes there is a bit much of them and that it sometimes takes over the story a bit though. I wish that we would be given more insight into Kyle's background. I feel like these stories have focused mainly on Lily, and that is understandable considering everything that she has gone through. But I find myself curious about Kyle and wanting more. I hope that we get more of his life in the next book. I really love Lily's cousins. They are entertaining and fun, and I love their banter. Their relationship with Lily is really special, and I love how close they all are. I also really like the developing bromance between Kyle and Jason. I think that this series is a must read for fans of the New Adult genre. There is absolutely everything you could hope for in a great book with this series. I can't wait to read more in this series and see where the future takes these wonderful characters. I also can't wait to see what Alicia Rae comes up with in the future, as I am quickly becoming a huge fan.
