Feature and Giveaway: Fournicopia by Delilah Devlin

Forget the sugar. Send her the spice.

Delta Heat, Book 2

Gus Taggert knows a setup when he sees one. The doughnut shop his police officer buddies have sent him to, Cornucopia, is too frilly. Too pink. Then the woman behind the counter serves up a mini-lesson in submission that leaves him ready and willing to obey her order to see her tonight at La Forge BDSM club.

The large, burly cop is exactly the kind of alpha guy that newly minted Domme Aislinn Darby has been dying to tie up and spank. Yet after she puts him through his paces, she finds herself eager to let him take control—something she’s never before enjoyed with a man.

Determined to find out once and for all if she has what it takes to control a scene, she orders him up for one more go. Only this time, she intends to ensure he remembers who’s in charge. She’s even willing to offer a little bribe: accept her dictates, and his reward is her—any way he wants her.

Except when it’s time for payback, it comes with several twists she never saw coming.

Product Warnings: When a male sub decides to turn the tables on his pretty Domme, he calls for backup from his best friends. Contains scenes with m/m/f, m/f/m, f/f, spanking, restraints, and an orgy of pleasure no woman can resist.

Places to Purchase:

“There any cameras in this room?”

She gave a curt nod toward a far corner.

He didn’t look toward it. He didn’t give a damn who watched. But did she? “Mistress…Ash,” he pleaded, every muscle in his body alert and ready to act.

She shook her head. Closed her eyes. Then she glanced to the corner and signaled with a wave of her hand beneath her chin for their watchers to cut the feed.

“We alone?” he ground out.

“Completely,” she whispered, her eyes wide.

Was she feeling as desperate as he was? Gus swooped toward her, picked her up by the waist and laid her on the bench. “No more slap and tickle.”

She cupped the corners of his shoulders then glided her hands across his chest. “I’m still in charge,” she said, but without any force behind the words, like she was reassuring herself.

“Yes. You can decide whether you want me or not. But choose quick.”

She wrinkled her nose. “You’re a terrible sub.”

One side of his mouth curled up. “Not really into rules.”

“Funny, I don’t seem to mind a bit that you’re not.”

“Punish me for the lapse…later.”

Her mouth curved. “My pleasure.”

He bent and took her mouth, rubbing away the smile. Her hands framed his face. Fingers cupped his ears then bit into his lobes to hold him back.

He didn’t like the uncertainty causing her eyes to darken. “Need control?”

“I do.”

“I’ll give it. Always. Tell me what you want.”

Her chest rose and fell so swiftly, her breaths came in tiny gasps. “Undress me.”

  1. Some authors go into deep detail to develop a background and life for the main characters of their stories. They may or may not use all the details, but it's there if they need it. What about you; do you do a comprehensive workup sheet of your character's background?

  2. I always wondered what kind of research goes into writing a BDSM book.. Do you talk to people, visit clubs, wikipedia???? Or do these ideas just take form in your head and come out on paper in words...Love your books Great giveaway Thanks

  3. Congrats on the newest release! Thanks for a fun post and excerpt!

  4. Sounds like another great read... CONGRATS on the release!!!

  5. First, thanks to Ramblings for hosting me today!

Karen, I don't do in-depth character workups before I begin writing. I let the characters lead me through the story, uncovering their secrets as I go.

Fingers! I read a lot of kink books. Mostly short stories from publishers like Cleis Press. Then I try my best to forget "the rules" and let the characters behave however they want. Which might get me into trouble with "experts" now and then, but I don't believe people follow rules in real life. They go with what feels right for them. I know that's true for me, personally.

    Erin! YVW! And thanks!

    Yadkny! Thank you!

  6. Delilah, I love your work! I love the playfulness you write into your books. What gave you the idea for a cop in a doughnut shop? Carin

  7. Carin! It's so cliche! But I've known a lot of cops, and guess what? Some of them love doughnuts and coffee, so they turn up in those shops. I thought, why not have some fun with it?

  8. This sounds so very, very good...would love to read about a male sub!

  9. Anon! Well you can. *wink*

  10. Congrats on the new release. It seems like Aislinn's mind knows she's a Domme but her body just wants Gus. This book sounds fantastic. Can't wait to read it. Thanks for the giveaway.

  11. Joanne! You nailed her conflict!

  12. Sounds really good! Thanks for the excerpt and the chance to win!

    1. Natasha! YVW! Good luck!

  13. "Forget the sugar. Send her the spice" Ohhhh. That's awesome ;-)

    1. Chelsea! Glad you liked that logline!

  14. Great excerpt. Definitely caught my attention. I love the titles, was it hard to come up with the titles?

    1. The hard thing about coming up with the first two titles of the series was not thinking too hard. I just let them come to me. I like to doodle on my desk and play with words and phrases.

  15. I haven't ever read a BDSM book with a male submissive! I look forward to reading this!

    books4me67 at ymail dot com

    1. They are out there, but certainly not as popular as books featuring female subs. Hope you enjoy my take.

  16. Congrats Delilah!! How did you come up with the idea of numbers for this series?
    luvfuzzzeeefaces at yahoo dot com

    1. I like series, but usually don't worry too much about having themes in the title. I thought a countdown, where each member of the posse finally met his mate, would be fun! So making it a numbered countdown was a natural progression. :)

  17. After so many lifestyle books featuring strong alpha male doms, finally a womam in a lead role... I can't decide which situation is more read, but I wonder which one is more challenging to write...

  18. I do love the Product Warnings!! How far is too far for you to write?

  19. Mina! I let the characters lead me where they will. Gus made it easy.

  20. Marybelle! The only place I won't go with a story is where a character deliberately causes true harm to his or her partner. Otherwise, I'm game for anything.

  21. Thanks for the blog tour, Delilah! I'm not sure how I feel about a domme suddenly getting the urge to switch, but your excerpt is fun and stranger things have happened.

  22. I love Delilah's stories, and am so happy to see more in the Delta Heat series! More, please, DD! ;)

  23. Sounds like a great book, I can't wait to read it!!

  24. Kathleen! I can't seem to follow rules. They make me itch. Instead, I went for what felt right for Gus and Ash.

Fedora! I'm starting the next book this weekend!

Emily! I hope you enjoy it!

    1. Excellent! I know I'll see it on your updated list then ;) Thanks, Delilah!

  25. Hi Delilah,
thank you for the chance at such a great giveaway and the post was wonderful today. i am looking forward to hearing more about them all.
    have a great weekend.

    tammy ramey

  26. Hi Tammy! Today's the last day of the tour. Boohoo! But I'm so glad you took time to drop in along the way!

  27. This is good. I have already read this excerpt. I still want to know more but it isn't driving me crazy. Of course, now I am drying to read Five Ways To Sunday. But that's easy to take care of. jepebATverizonDOTnet

  28. Thanks to everyone who posted a comment last week! The winner of a free book (digital) is Joanne! Congratulations, and I'll be sending you an email shortly!
