Forever Blog Tour: Interview with Author Jill Shalvis and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to the blog author Jill Shalvis. Jill is currently on tour promoting the latest releases in her Lucky Harbor series, At Last and Forever and a Day and has stopped by to answer a few questions. Before we get to the questions, lets get to know a bit about Jill.

New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis lives in a small town in the Sierras with her family and far too many assorted quirky animals. Any resemblance to the quirky animals in her books is, um, mostly coincidental. Look for Jill’s bestselling, award-winning books wherever romances are sold and visit her website at www.jillshalvis.com for a completely booklist and daily blog detailing her city-girl-living-in-the-mountains adventures.

A la Twitter style, please describe your book in 140 characters or less.
Matt Bowers ia badass forest ranger who helps a damsel in distress. Except Amy’s no damsel, she’s beautiful, tough, jaded … and in desperate need of rescuing. She just doesn’t know it yet.

If you could have dinner with any three authors (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?
Only three?
NOT fair! I need more.

Last question, are you working on anything right now?
A brand new series to come out next year … the setting is the wild Sierra Mountains.

HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .

Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

  1. Actually I do. They have their own form and brand of magic. Being from a moderately small area where most peope either know your mother or father. It can be strang at times but it always means if you need help someone is there.

  2. I love stories set in a small town. You can be more creative with small town settings than with a city setting in my opinion. In big cities, it is also easy to get "lost" within yourself. With small towns, you can define who you are as a person.

  5. thanks for a great post and giveaway and congrats to Jill on the new releases!

I like stories set in small towns b/c you get to know everyone a bit better. It's always fun to have a great supporting "cast", especially when you know that some of the characters you like will get their own book :)

  8. I have quite a few small town stories on my favorite's shelf. Love the sense of community, the humor of everyone knowing what's going on, and that inhabitants of the town get a chance to tell their own story.
