Macy Beckett writes hot and humorous romance set in Sultry Springs, Texas: where first loves find second chances. Places to find Macy:
I’ve been reading romance from an inappropriately young age, so this is the mother of all difficult decisions for me. But if you twist my arm, I’ll have to claim Dare Macintosh as my book boyfriend. Why? Because I love alpha males—big, tough, burly, hairy, manly men. And when it comes to alpha males, Lori Foster’s “men who walk the edge of honor” really delivers the testosterone!
Check this out:
The tougher they are, the harder they fall…
Professional mercenary Dare Macintosh lives by one hard and fast rule: business should never be personal. If a cause appeals to him and the price is right, he'll take the mission he's offered. But then the lovely Molly Alexander asks him to help her track down the men who'd had her kidnapped—and for the first time, Dare's tempted to combine work with pleasure.
Fiercely independent, Molly vows to trust no one until she's uncovered the truth. Could the enemy be her powerful, estranged father? The ex-fiancĂ© who still holds a grudge? Or the not-so-shy fan of her bestselling novels? As the danger heats up around them, the only anchor Molly has is Dare himself. But what she feels for him just might be the most frightening thing of all…

Trust me, Dare is smokin’ hot!
I’d love to send you a copy of WHEN YOU DARE, along with my own release, A SHOT OF SULTRY, which follows another alpha male, the deep-dimpled golden boy, Trey Lewis.
How about you, readers? Did we pick the same book boyfriend? If so, we may have to fight, because he’s MINE, ALL MINE! =)
Welcome to Sultry Springs, Texas: where home can be the perfect place for a fresh start.
For West Coast filmmaker Bobbi Gallagher, going back to Sultry Springs is a last resort. But with her career in tatters, a quick trip to her hometown might get her the footage she needs to salvage her reputation. She just can't let anything distract her again. Not even the gorgeous contractor her brother asked to watch over her. As if she can't handle filming a few rowdy Texans.
Golden boy Trey Lewis, with his blond hair and Technicolor-blue eyes, is a leading man if Bobbi ever saw one. He's strong and confident and--much to her delight--usually shirtless. He thinks keeping his best friend's baby sister out of trouble will be easy. But he has no idea of the trouble in store for him...

I admit that I am not much of a contemporary romance reader but I love my alpha males! One that comes to mind is Adam, the Earl of Gresham in Wicked Delights Of A Bridal Bed by Tracy Anne Warren
ReplyDeleteDare is a good one (all the blokes from the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honour series would make good book boyfriends)... but I have to go with the ultimate Navy SEAL hotness that is Gage Brewster from Laura Griffin's SCORCHED.
ReplyDeleteMine would have to be Ryder Montgomery from Nora Roberts Inn Boonsborro trilogy. He is all man, but can treat a lady right, besides that he is hot hot hot!
ReplyDeleteThey are all my favorites...love them all...
ReplyDeleteMy book boyfriend would be Jackson Rule by Sharon Sala. He's so tough and yet gentle at the same time. He spent half his life in jail for a crime he didn't commit to protect his sister. If that isn't unconditional love, what is? Also he's gorgeous with a rocking body and a slow drawl.
ReplyDeleteThey are all my favorites...love them all...
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read that book yet, but I agree with the concept! This is an older book by Nora Roberts, but my book boyfriend would be Shane from The Fall of Shane MacKade. Can't wait to read your book!
ReplyDeleteDare sounds yummy, I have not read him yet. I love Vlad from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. So glad he has his own series now! Sigh
ReplyDeleteI have tons of book boyfriends lol, but my favorite book boyfriend is Vishious by J. R. Ward.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. :)
Those are some awesome bbf! I have many of them myself but I always return to Nick Allegrezza from Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson.
ReplyDeleteZOMG, I forgot about Nick! He's SO hot! Okay, he can be secret boyfriend...just don't tell Dare. Or my husband.

I would say my book boyfriend is either Rhage or Vishious from the BDB series! Love them! I've been wanting to read about Dare. Hes in my stack of books to read...so maybe he'll be my new book boyfriend soon! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have never read When you Dare, but hot alpha males, yes please <3 love em. Recently my book boyfriend was Logan from Alpha one, protective alpha male with commitment issues ;) but amazing.
ReplyDeleteAlpha males are always fun and trouble.
ReplyDeleteDare is so sexy, but I like Bones and Vlad from the Jeaniene Frosts Night Huntress series.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun post! I like the sound of Dare but I still love the Seal Team 16 guys from Suzanne Brockmann's series ;)
ReplyDeleteDare is definitely one of my BBF's but I'm not sure if I would pick him as my absolute top BBF. Of course who would top that list changes daily for me and if I was standing in the room discussing books with you I would probably end up naming about 25+ guys without ever deciding who was at the top...I love them all so much!
ReplyDeleteI love any Alpha Male so Yea I could see Dare as one of many BBF I have and or had....:)

Dare is defiantly a hottie but my boyfriend is Ian MacKenzie/The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie by: Jennifer Ashley.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my book boyfriends are Cord McKay from Lorelei James' Rough Riders and Jericho Barrons' Karen Marie Moning's Fever series!
ReplyDeleteRANGER from the Stephanie Plum series. Now HE'S hot, hot, hot!! Yummy!!!
ReplyDeletecc_clubbs[at]yahoo[dot]com
LOLOL that is hilarious. Dare is always my choice for these things. Lori has a big selection of great boyfriend choices. But Dare was my first (Lori book :-)) So I always pick him. Therefore, you might be right, it could be a throw down. haha lisakhutson(at)cox(dot)net
ReplyDeleteIt's on like Donkey Kong. Someone hold my hoops...
DeleteDon't know Dare yet, but I do love Barrons from the Fever series and Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse series!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Leanne
I might have to try Dare out...Looking forward to checking out the books.
ReplyDeleteMine will always be Jamie from "Outlander."

We didnt but I like the boyfriend you picked. Love this story. Emilyb0924 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOh, Dare is totally yummy, actually all the guys from that series are yummy! Thanks for sharing!

Well we don't have the same book boyfriend, but that might be because I haven't read this book. ;)
ReplyDeleteOddly enoug, while I've thought of the men in some of the books as serious hotties, I've never felt the urge to declare one as my book boyfriend.
I haven't read these books unfortunately. Too many good books to read and not enough time!
ReplyDeleteLove Lori Foster's heros. That is the only series of hers I have read and I loved them all including Chris! They are some awesome boyfriends!
ReplyDeleteLori Foster is a fav of mine!
ReplyDeleteI like Lori Foster and Dare is quite hot! hmmm very hot =)
ReplyDeleteI like all of Maya Banks books. Thy all have great sexy heroes.
ReplyDeletelauratroxelatyahoodotcom
Right now, I'm loving Dante from The Collector by Victoria Scott. I like them tall, dark, and sexy.
ReplyDeleteWith each book I read I have a new book boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this yet, so no, we didn't pick the same.
ReplyDeleteI love Lori Foster's alpha heroes, but Noah from Too Much Temptation is my Lori Foster boyfriend. Maybe because that was the first Lori Foster book I ever read.
ReplyDeleteI'm so fickle - or in the moment
ReplyDeletevampires - werewolves - alpha males in general
and lets not forget the men in kilts !!!
I haven't yet read either of these and they both sound so yummy!
ReplyDeleteJolene A
No, we did not pick the same book boyfriend. I haven't read the book so I haven't yet met your friend. And I really don't know who to pick as my book boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI Love Lori Foster's books & her heroes - it's so great the way her guys love and support their women!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that one yet, so not yet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
Lori Foster does write some strong alpha males. But I prefer mine a little...harrier? Curran is in my top five, totally alpha and in your face. Yum.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this book yet, so I don't know if we have to fight yet. I'll be sure to read it and get back to you on that :)
ReplyDeleteMust say I have not read those books yet although I do understand liking strong alpha males. Roarke is one of my faves!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by Lori Foster yet...hangs head in shame lol
ReplyDeleteHmmm...favorite book boyfriend...Definitely Stan from Over the Edge, by Suzanne Brockmann. I think Stan is who my husband would be if he were a Navy Seal. Which is probably why my imaginary pen name self married him and took his first name as my last name...
ReplyDeleteI like Dare, but I won't fight you for him.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I've yet to read this series...but that's easily fixed with one-click! Thanks for the awesome recommendations :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read either book yet, so I can't way in on your choice.
ReplyDeleteI'm more into the paranormal and historical heroes, Jamie Fraser being my favorite.
ReplyDeleteDare sounds hot but I love Charles from the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs.
ReplyDeletemythic021@gmail.com
No, I have not read either book TBR list.
ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite is Rhett Butler, but I must admit I'm fickle. I fall in love with each hero as I read their book.
ReplyDeletekscathyATyahooDOTcom
I don't think I have a favorite book boyfriend because I tend to love the male character in most of the books I read. I love when I find a book where I can become invested in the characters and find things about them that I love.
ReplyDeleteI have not read about Dare yet, but he sounds great! My fingers are crossed for luck.
Thank you for the giveaway!
Best Wishes,
Lindsey V.
