My Favorite Book Boyfriend with Macy Beckett and Giveaway

Macy Beckett writes hot and humorous romance set in Sultry Springs, Texas: where first loves find second chances. Her debut novel, SULTRY WITH A TWIST, released in October, and book two, A SHOT OF SULTRY, is now available in stores and online. A third Sultry Springs novel will release in August. Additionally, Macy writes young adult science fiction under the name Melissa Landers. Her debut, ALIENATED, is coming in February, 2014 from Disney-Hyperion. You can learn more about her books—for adults and teens—on her website.

I’ve been reading romance from an inappropriately young age, so this is the mother of all difficult decisions for me. But if you twist my arm, I’ll have to claim Dare Macintosh as my book boyfriend. Why? Because I love alpha males—big, tough, burly, hairy, manly men. And when it comes to alpha males, Lori Foster’s “men who walk the edge of honor” really delivers the testosterone!

Check this out:

The tougher they are, the harder they fall…

Professional mercenary Dare Macintosh lives by one hard and fast rule: business should never be personal. If a cause appeals to him and the price is right, he'll take the mission he's offered. But then the lovely Molly Alexander asks him to help her track down the men who'd had her kidnapped—and for the first time, Dare's tempted to combine work with pleasure.

Fiercely independent, Molly vows to trust no one until she's uncovered the truth. Could the enemy be her powerful, estranged father? The ex-fiancĂ© who still holds a grudge? Or the not-so-shy fan of her bestselling novels? As the danger heats up around them, the only anchor Molly has is Dare himself. But what she feels for him just might be the most frightening thing of all…

Trust me, Dare is smokin’ hot!

I’d love to send you a copy of WHEN YOU DARE, along with my own release, A SHOT OF SULTRY, which follows another alpha male, the deep-dimpled golden boy, Trey Lewis.

How about you, readers? Did we pick the same book boyfriend? If so, we may have to fight, because he’s MINE, ALL MINE! =)

Welcome to Sultry Springs, Texas: where home can be the perfect place for a fresh start.

For West Coast filmmaker Bobbi Gallagher, going back to Sultry Springs is a last resort. But with her career in tatters, a quick trip to her hometown might get her the footage she needs to salvage her reputation. She just can't let anything distract her again. Not even the gorgeous contractor her brother asked to watch over her. As if she can't handle filming a few rowdy Texans.

Golden boy Trey Lewis, with his blond hair and Technicolor-blue eyes, is a leading man if Bobbi ever saw one. He's strong and confident and--much to her delight--usually shirtless. He thinks keeping his best friend's baby sister out of trouble will be easy. But he has no idea of the trouble in store for him...

  2. I admit that I am not much of a contemporary romance reader but I love my alpha males! One that comes to mind is Adam, the Earl of Gresham in Wicked Delights Of A Bridal Bed by Tracy Anne Warren

  3. Dare is a good one (all the blokes from the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honour series would make good book boyfriends)... but I have to go with the ultimate Navy SEAL hotness that is Gage Brewster from Laura Griffin's SCORCHED.

  4. Mine would have to be Ryder Montgomery from Nora Roberts Inn Boonsborro trilogy. He is all man, but can treat a lady right, besides that he is hot hot hot!

  5. They are all my favorites...love them all...

  6. My book boyfriend would be Jackson Rule by Sharon Sala. He's so tough and yet gentle at the same time. He spent half his life in jail for a crime he didn't commit to protect his sister. If that isn't unconditional love, what is? Also he's gorgeous with a rocking body and a slow drawl.

  8. I actually haven't read that book yet, but I agree with the concept! This is an older book by Nora Roberts, but my book boyfriend would be Shane from The Fall of Shane MacKade. Can't wait to read your book!

  17. Dare is definitely one of my BBF's but I'm not sure if I would pick him as my absolute top BBF. Of course who would top that list changes daily for me and if I was standing in the room discussing books with you I would probably end up naming about 25+ guys without ever deciding who was at the top...I love them all so much!

  18. I love any Alpha Male so Yea I could see Dare as one of many BBF I have and or had....:)

  28. Well we don't have the same book boyfriend, but that might be because I haven't read this book. ;)

Oddly enoug, while I've thought of the men in some of the books as serious hotties, I've never felt the urge to declare one as my book boyfriend.

  47. Hmmm...favorite book boyfriend...Definitely Stan from Over the Edge, by Suzanne Brockmann. I think Stan is who my husband would be if he were a Navy Seal. Which is probably why my imaginary pen name self married him and took his first name as my last name...

  55. I don't think I have a favorite book boyfriend because I tend to love the male character in most of the books I read. I love when I find a book where I can become invested in the characters and find things about them that I love.

I have not read about Dare yet, but he sounds great! My fingers are crossed for luck.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

    Best Wishes,
    Lindsey V.
