My Favorite Book Boyfriend with Shana Galen and Giveaway

Shana Galen is the bestselling author of fast-paced adventurous Regency historicals, including the RT Reviewers’ Choice The Making of a Gentleman. Her books are published all over the world and have been featured in the Rhapsody and Doubleday Book Clubs. She taught English at the middle and high school level off and on for eleven years. Most of those years were spent working in Houston's inner city. Now she writes full time. She’s happily married and has a daughter who is most definitely a romance heroine in the making.

Places to find Shana:

If there is a perfect hero, JD Robb (aka Nora Roberts) has created him. Smart, sexy, dangerous—all of these adjectives describe Roarke. But he’s also ridiculously rich, sweetly protective, and the consummate gentleman.

In love yet?

Here’s a little about Roarke. He’s a billionaire living in New York in the world of the 2050s. He’s Irish (have to love the accent, right?), and he has exquisite taste in everything from food to clothes to jewelry. He’s a mostly reformed criminal with black hair and amazing blue eyes. A bad boy with the soul of a poet. He can have any woman he wants, and the woman he wants is Eve Dallas.

If Eve didn’t scare me a little, or actually a lot, I’d tell her to move aside. Instead, I’ll just admire Roarke from the pages of Robb’s latest book. I’m giving away Naked in Death, the first book in the series and the book where Eve and Roarke meet. If you haven’t read the series, this is the place to start. If you have, you’ll enjoy re-reading the book that started it all and introduced my book boyfriend Roarke.

The first book of the In Death series, featuring New York City homicide detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas and Roarke.

It is the year 2058, and technology now completely rules the world. But New York City Detective Eve Dallas knows that the irresistible impulses of the human heart are still ruled by just one thing-passion. When a senator's daughter is killed, the secret life of prostitution she'd been leading is revealed. The high-profile case takes Lieutenant Eve Dallas into the rarefied circles of Washing-ton politics and society.

Further complicating matters is Eve's growing attraction to Roarke, who is one of the wealthiest and most influential men on the planet, devilishly handsome . . . and the leading suspect in the investigation.

HER MYSTERIOUS PAST IS THE BEST REVENGE . . .

Fallon, the Marchioness of Mystery, is a celebrated courtesan with her finger on the pulse of high society. She's adored by men, hated by their wives. No one knows anything about her past, and she plans to keep it that way.

ONLY HE CAN OFFER HER A DAZZLING FUTURE . . .

Warrick Fitzhugh will do anything to protect his compatriots in the Foreign Office, including seduce Fallon, who he thinks can lead him to the deadliest crime lord in London. He knows he's putting his life on the line . . .
To Warrick's shock, Fallon is not who he thinks she is, and the secrets she's keeping are exactly what make her his heart's desire . . .

I love that guy and need to read more of those books! I think I read 30 of them in a row since I only discovered them about a year ago. Great book boyfriend choice!

  39. To be honest, I will never understand why women love Roarke so much. I'm not a big Nora Roberts fan in the first place, but I try to give every book a fair shot. I've read the first two in the "In Death" series and really disliked both of them. I didn't find Roarke that appealing. Sure, he's rich and good-looking but so is almost every male hero in romance novels!
My book boyfriend is definitely Jamie Fraser from "Outlander." He's not rich, but what makes him so endearing is his innocence, raw passion and his compassion.

  43. Ah Roarke. He only gets better as the series goes on. He was sexy and interesting in Naked in Death, but only gets better as you get to know him. I know him well as I own and have read every single book in the series, and own (and read) every book she's ever published. I also confess to naming the cat Nora.
