My Favorite Book Boyfriend with Stefanie Sloane and Giveaway

A native Northwesterner with the pale skin to prove it, Stefanie Sloane credits her parents’ eclectic reading habits—not to mention their decision to live in the middle of nowhere—for her love of books. A childhood spent lost in the pages of countless novels led Stefanie to college where she majored in English. No one was more surprised than Stefanie when she actually put her degree to use and landed a job in Amazon.com’s Books editorial department. She spent over five years reading for a living before retiring to concentrate on her own stories. Stefanie currently resides with her family in Seattle.

Places to find Stefanie:

Oh book boyfriends, I love them so. Lined up on my shelf, just waiting for the day Mama needs a little something something.

In fact, I have a book boyfriend for every day of the week. Don’t believe me? Well read on, ladies, and try not to fall in love. No, really. Don’t fall in love. They’re all mine! (Full disclosure: every last hunky hero could be yours, too, by visiting your local independent bookseller!)

Monday

I’m a lioness, fresh from the weekend and ready to take down my prey. And at the end of my exhilarating turn around the plains, do you know what I want? Devil Cynster from Stephanie Laurens Devil’s Bride. Now that’s a man who can match my passion and appetite for love. Rawr!

Tuesday

Slightly less lioness but still gung-ho, I take on the second day of the week with a full serving of feisty and fierce. Hmmm, might need a cop to keep me in line. I choose Joe Morelli from Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plumb series. Hot sex, donuts, and coffee. That Joe knows how to treat a girl right.

Wednesday

Say it with me: Hump Day! I’m half way to the weekend, but feeling like I could use a little help. Let’s call in Kenneth Sutherland from Monica McCarty’s The Recruit. This Scottish hottie with a heart of gold can carry me through the day—and all the way into the wee hours, thank you very much.

Thursday

Wait, it’s only Thursday? I am a really tired lioness that’s had it up to here with irritating pride members and the assorted monkeys, hyenas, and gazelles who cannot manage to just do their jobs! I think I need a lawyer to talk me out of a killing spree. Send in US Attorney Cade Morgan from Julie James’ Love Irresistibly, your honor! A powerful prosecutor and former football star? He can prepare my legal brief any time he likes!

Friday

I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, dog walker, business owner, volunteer, and a hundred other things, too. I made it through the week. And I kicked ass. Gimme a tall, lean cowboy who will smooth away my stress and convince me that it’s really worth doing all over again next week. Cade Coulter, from Lois Faye Dyer’s Cade Coulter’s Return, should do nicely. A prodigal son with hidden depth and a sexy, dangerous dark side? Yes, please!

Saturday and Sunday

Wait a minute! You didn’t think I was going to share all of my book boyfriends, did you? I want to hear about yours first. So tell me, who floats your boat? I promise not to fall in love and steal them away. (Full disclosure: I probably will fall in love and steal them away. Thankfully, there’s plenty to go around.)

When he left Montana thirteen years ago, Cade Coulter swore he'd never return. But Joseph Coulter's first-born couldn't turn his back on the ailing family ranch. Or the woman who'd been given a home at the Triple C.

With his irresistible blend of danger and potent masculinity, Cade was the quintessential cowboy. But Mariah Jones believed that beneath the loner's gruff facade was a man who secretly longed to reconnect with his family. Why else would he have come back to Indian Springs? She'd made a promise to Cade's father—one she intended to keep. And now she was in danger of losing her own heart to the sexy, guarded rancher….

Lady Sophie Afton wants one thing and one thing only: Revenge against the man who ruthlessly killed her mother fifteen years before. Painstakingly preparing herself for the task and awaiting just the right moment, she approaches Lord Carmichael armed with the skills required of a spy and the knowledge that the Corinthians have reached an impasse in her mother’s case despite all the progress made by her dear friend Viscount Hardwicke. The Rook was only the beginning. Another man cut her mother’s throat, but it will take a woman to bring his identity to light.

Carmichael cannot refuse her. And just at the moment Sophie believes she’s on the cusp of experiencing the defining moment of her life, Nicholas Young appears. The younger brother of her betrothed, Nicholas had disappeared years before into the wild of the East Indies, where, if rumors were to be believed, he’d made his fortune through questionable means. In truth, Sophie had given little thought to her childhood friend. Until now. There was no denying that she adored Langdon Young, Nicholas’s older brother and the man she was meant to marry. But the moment Nicholas stalks back into her life, Sophie knows she will never belong to another. His touch inspires desire, his kisses need, and his skin on hers brands Sophie for life.

Aided by her Corinthian counterparts, with Nicholas at her side, Sophie delves into the dangerous depths of the London crime world in search of what she’s longed for her entire life. Or is it? Can revenge mean more than love?

  1. Hmm, I haven't actually read any of these, but they are from authors/series I want to try. And a lot of the time I love a 'book boyfriend' within the context of the novel, but would have no idea how to act around them in real life.

  2. LOL Devil by Stephanie Laurens is also one of my Fave~! So you can't have him to your self, silly girl~ XD
I also love Nicholas St. John by Sarah MacLean in Ten Waysto be Adored when Landing a Lord but also Michael, Lord Bourne, from A Rogue by Any Other Name! Who else? James Rutherford in Sinful Surrender by Beverley Kendall and of course Alex Cartwright, heir to the Duke of Hastings, in An Heir of Deception. David Hillsborough, Viscount Hastings in Tempting the Bride by Sherry Thomas, Lord Adrian Smythe in Lord and Lady Spy by Shana Galen, and Duke of Castleford in Dangerous in Diamonds by Madeline Hunter. Ah I love so many~

  4. I have only read the one with Devil Cynster in it and he was yummy. I love Vlad from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress and the guys from JR Ward's BDB.

  5. I haven't read any of the books yet but have several of them on my list of books I want to read. My book boyfriend changes with each book.

  8. I love all the authors mentioned in both your post as well as everyone's favorites above but my biggest crush will always be the very first true romance hero ever written - Don Quixote!

Now if we are all to be honest, who doesn't want a hero that only sees the best in you - in fact even sees the best when it doesn't exist! Think of being able to get up in the morning with "bed head" and having good old Don tell you how beautiful you look the first thing in the morning!

Have you ever wondered what the world of romance would be like today if Cervantes hadn't written his story? Isn't it nice to think of a romance novel being one of the greatest works of art ever written - and you can't beat his hero and if you try watch out for the windmills - they might be attacking you next!

  9. I'm easy when it comes to book boyfriends, so I'm picking a different one each day. Today's is Roarke, from J.D. Robb's IN DEATH series. Serious hotness.

    ReplyDelete
  10. LOVE Joe Morelli! But my book boyfriends are still Rhage and Vishous from the BDB series!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sounds fantastic! Thanks for sharing... I'd have to say Roarke :)

  12. Since I have to come up with another book boyfriend each day it seems here (loving this btw, Danielle!), and you mentioned Julie James, I will tell you that Nick McCall from Julie's A Lot Like Love is my fave hero of hers. Love that he is all manly man but Jordan can bring him down to his knees with a little wine - nothing pink, though.

  15. I just finished Shana Galen's If You Give A Rake A Ruby, and I have to say...I found a new book boyfriend! Warrick Fitzhugh! He was just so yummy. I found myself grinning like an idiot every time he spoke! Yum!

  16. I want Joe Morelli. He's a hot cop, with a big, goofy dog, and he buys his girlfriend birthday cake when it's not even her birthday. He's perfect!

  17. Just finished reading Dana Marton's "The Third Scroll". Not sure how to describe the genre, but it was a wonderful story. Batumar was a gentleman, considerate, strong, gentle -- even if he probably would be classified as a barbarian. A real boyfriend (except I've been married 46 yrs to my ever after boyfriend so don't need another real one) would do well to have the same characteristics.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hum? I guess I would say Sean Connery or Tom Selleck. They are both hot older men. Whew!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I just have to say Joe Morelli is hot, but Ranger is my choice. He is sexy, mysterious, and can sex me up in a closet. I also like Chris Merritt from If I Were You by Lisa Renee Jones. And of course Brian Sinclair and Jace from The Sinners series by Olivia Cunning. Okay all the Sinners band mates. I also am madly in love with Lucy from Robin Covington's His Southern Temptation(which just came out). And my two newest ones are Braden from On Dublin Street by Samantha Young and Jack Henry McLaughlin from Beauty From Pain by Georgia Cates.
I guess maybe I will need one for each day of the week. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  41. So, I'm going with a historical boyfriend this time. That would have to be Brandon Birmingham from the first romance I ever read, the Flame and the Flower by Katherine Woodiwiss. A southern gentleman with just a bit of scoundrel, Brandon was truly a hero to his bones.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love all the heroes of the books I read. There are too many to name. I am currently reading Shana Galen's IF YOU GIVE A RAKE A RUBY, and love it! I would say my all time favorite would be Rhett Butler from GONE WITH THE WIND.

Chase by Sandra Brown, Michael Stirling from When He Was Wicked by Julia Quinn, Ian Mackenzie from The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley.
Roarke ... for the sake of his wealth and power only. :D

  54. I'm more of a paranormal romance reader, but several books from the authors on this page are on my TBR list. Now if I can convince my employer that I need a little time off to catch up on my reading I'll be good to go haha! Thanks again for all these recommendations.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have never heard of these! So yay more to check out and add to my list! My list of BBFs is humongous!!!!! I could probably go on for hours and hours and list 50 in just about every genre! Well except horror. I despise horror, but then again I doubt horror really has hunks in it! So...

    ReplyDelete
  56. I haven't read any of these books except Love Irresistibly by Julie James. Cade is a great choice for a boyfriend.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I really like the way you have a daily BBF. So much fun.

    ReplyDelete
  58. No, you haven't pick the ones I would. I haven't read these books but there are on my TBR list.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't think I have a favorite book boyfriend because I tend to love the male character in most of the books I read. I love when I find a book where I can become invested in the characters and find things about them that I love.

I have not read either of these books, but I'd love to read Cade Coulter's Return. I love western books – especially those by Catherine Anderson in the Kendrick/Coulter/Harrigan series. I love reading books about the tough cowboy who loves deeply and completely. Yum. :-)

    Thank you for the giveaway!

    Best Wishes,
    Lindsey V.
