Today I would like to welcome author Anne Lange to RFTC. Anne is currently on tour for her book, Worth the Risk and has stopped by to chat about characters. Please give Anne a warm welcome.

Anne Lange grew up with a love of reading. In fact, if you take a close look, she’s got a book with her where ever she goes, and will usually sneak in at least a chapter or ten whenever she can spare a few minutes. She reads many genres of fiction, but prefers to write sexy romance with attractive men, strong females, and always a happily ever after.

While embarking on a career as a romance author, Anne juggles a full time job and a family. She grew up in Southern Ontario (Canada), but now makes her home in Eastern Ontario where she lives with her husband and three children, and Rocky the bearded dragon.

Guest Post with Author Amber Lea Easton and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC author Amber Lea Easton. Amber is currently on tour for her book  Riptide and has stopped by to chat. Before I give the floor over to Amber, let's get to know her some.

Amber Lea Easton is a multi-published fiction and nonfiction author. For twenty years, she's worked in the fields of journalism and advertising with a brief detour into the financial industry. Although she holds a BA in Communications & Journalism, she is a perpetual student of life who enjoys taking post-graduate courses on a wide variety of subjects when time allows. Smart is sexy, according to Easton, which is why she writes about strong female characters who have their flaws and challenges, but who ultimately persevere.

Easton currently lives with her two teenagers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she gives thanks daily for the gorgeous view outside her window. She finds inspiration from traveling, the people she meets, nature and life’s twists and turns. At the end of the day, as long as she's writing, she considers herself to be simply "a lucky lady liv'n the dream."

Guest Post with Author Ava Archer Payne and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to RFTC author Ava Archer Payne. Ava is celebrating the release of her book Out of Her League and has stopped by to chat. Before I give the floor over to Ava, let's get to know her a bit.

What exactly is a ‘Hot Historical’?
A ‘Hot Historical’ is a classic historical romance—only shorter and steamier! Hot Historicals are perfect for fans of traditional romance who occasionally like to spice things up. One of my readers calls them a secret indulgence ;)

Many of your novels are set in Victorian England. What attracts you to that time period?
I love playing with the exquisite manners of the day. What does our heroine do when she finds herself completely in lust with an utterly unsuitable man? That creates such lovely sexual tension.

How long have you been writing romance?
I’ve been writing historical romance for 15 years under a variety of pseudonyms. I’ve been published by several mainstream houses, but with the advent of ebooks, I’m able to place my work directly in the hands of readers. What a fabulous privilege for an author!

ARC Review: Tell It To The Marine by Heather Long

I hate to say it but I did not like this novella at all. In fact it was my least favorite in the Always a Marine series. It was just so slow. It just dragged on and on and I never felt any real connection between the James and Lauren. Their story just seemed too convoluted and far fetched.

James is a PFC who also happens to work as a clinical psychologist at Mike's Place. He cares about the work he does helping rehabilitate fellow Marine's when they come back from war. He devotes all of his time to his work and because of it his love life is seriously lacking. When his boss recommends that he try 1Night Stand dating service he figures "why not." It worked for the captain so maybe he'll have good results also.

Lauren Kincaid is a popular movie star who has been in the lime light for the past twenty years and she's so over it. She's tired of people being fake and using her just to get ahead. She wants to meet someone who likes her for her, not the movie star actress she plays on-screen. Lauren decides to take up her agents offer to get her set up with the 1Night Stand dating service. Lauren never expected to meet anyone special. She just wanted to spend the nigh in the company of someone who wasn't using her. She never expected to find a connection with someone she never met before, but that is exactly what happens when she meets James.

Both feel an instant connection and are reluctant for the night to end. But when a patient of James needs help, cutting the night short, Lauren is quick to offer up any assistance that is needed.

Like I said before, for me this story was just too slow. Most of the novella is spent with James and Lauren talking. By the time things start to happen, I just didn't care. I had become so bored with the story and the direction that it took. For me, the romance was lacking and that was such a shame because I really enjoyed the first story in this series so much.

ARC Review: Retreat Hell! She Just Got Here by Heather Long

This was one hot short story. It's packed with passion and lust and I loved it. Though it may have been missing the emotional connection I crave, it sure made up for it with hot sex!

Jazz has spent the last ten years serving her country and is tired of being treated like one of the guys. For once she wants to feel sexy and wanted. Not only that, but she wants to be girly and flirt with guys that desire her before she has to go off and fight again. She figures one last night to get everything she wants before she re-enlists with the Marines.

Logan and Zach have been the best of friends for as long as they can remember. Both do everything together including sharing woman. At least they used to before both were in an accident and were injured. Logan's injuries were pretty bad and he faces the possibility of never being able to be with a woman. Zach feels horrible for what happened but he thinks Logan's issue is just mental. He knows that if the right girl came along Logan will be able to forge ahead. So they both join the 1Night Stand dating service with the stipulation that they go on a threesome date.

As soon as Jazz arrives to the hotel room things get heated pretty quickly. There is no getting to know each other first. They just hop to it. They are driven by the fierce passionate connection they are all experiencing.

I really enjoyed this story and thought it was wicked hot. I liked the dynamics with the three. I really enjoyed being inside the guys heads. Both are extremely attracted to Jazz and are enjoying themselves immensely.

I hope the author revisits these characters either in another short or perhaps in the series. I feel there is much more to their story and I would love to seem them together again.

Feature and Giveaway: Tell It To The Marine by Heather Long

PFC James Westwood wasn't a typical Marine. A clinical psychologist who devotes time to his brothers by working at Mike’s Place, James recognizes that his band of brothers need a helping hand on their journey home. When Captain Dexter encouraged everyone to sign up for the 1Night Stand dating service, Westwood committed himself, what did he have to lose?

The last thing he expected was screen goddess Lauren Kincaid.

Movie star Lauren Kincaid grew up splitting her time between the cold reality of the Hollywood scene and her family home in Plano, Texas After two decades of artificial friendships and inflated egos, her greatest desire is to meet a real man, not a Hollywood talking head. Her agent suggested the 1Night Stand service for its discretion and exclusivity. When she arranged to meet her date at Dallas' famed Sybarite Club, she wasn't sure what she was expecting, but the gorgeous psychologist with rapier wit blew her expectations away.

Everyone needs someone to hear them.

James and Lauren share an unmistakable connection, but when one of James’ patients suffers a crisis, Lauren more than proves her mettle. Can one night turn into happily ever after for this Marine and his movie star?

Feature and Giveaway: Racing To Love by Amy Gregory

From the outside, Molly West had everything, beauty, brains, and a career she’d retired from not once, but twice. Being in the limelight and in a sport that was male driven, she was often surrounded men. She ignored first the boys, and as she got older, the men. Unfortunately, they were all the same, all after one thing, and she had absolutely no use for them. Her cold shoulder and patented not a chance in hell look were usually enough to get her point across. Occasionally, she had to resort to her sass—and her brother.

Molly had no plans in changing what was a perfectly good system. That is until she walked into the pits. When she stood toe-to-toe with the sex in jeans, she knew right then and there that the man her adoptive mother always told her was out there, was now standing right in front of her.

Carter Sterling had traveled the racing circuit since he was a boy. He’d heard all the old standbys, She’s out there somewhere, love comes along when you least expect it. Good things come to those that… Yeah, he’d heard them all. The last place he expected to meet the love of his life was on a pro track. All she did was smile, and he knew, looking into her sapphire blue eyes, Molly West was his. Forever.

If it was only that easy. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he had a gripping feeling in him. An overwhelming need to protect her. A girl he’d just met. Carter had learned a long time ago that gut feelings are almost never wrong.

Molly now held his heart in her hands, but it was going to take a lot more than just love to protect her from the past she thought she’d buried a long time ago.
