Guest Post with Author Lia Davis and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome author Lia Davis to RFTC. Lia is celebrating the release of Forgotten Visions and has stopped by to chat. Before I give the floor over to Lia, lets learn a bit about her.

Lia Davis is a mother to two young adults and two very special, equally different kitty cats. She’s a wife to her soul mate, who drives her crazy during editing/revisions. She and her family live in Northeast Florida battling hurricanes and very humid summers. But it’s her home and she loves it!

An accounting major, Lia has always been a dreamer with a very activity imagination. The wheels in her head never stop. She only recently got serious about publishing her work and loves it more than she imagined. Writing a stress reliever that allows her to go off in her corner of the house and enter into another world that she created, leaving the day job where it belongs.

Her favorite things are spending time with family, traveling, reading, writing, chocolate, coffee, nature and hanging out with her kitties.

Places to find Lia:
The Magic of Love

The heroine’s heart beats a little faster as the hero enters the room. The feeling intensifies when he prowls towards her, his gaze locked with hers. The air grows thick and everything around them disappears. Than all plans of their ten year anniversary are forgotten and they slip away from their guest for “private” time.

Magic of love is that spark, the instant attraction between a couple. It draws them together. Sometimes the magic is there from the moment they meet. Sometimes it takes times to make an appearance. The hero and heroine will mostly likely deny that it’s even there until it grows to the point of intense need that seems to never die down.

It is why I love romance so much. I love the journey the couple goes through, the conflict and struggle to be together. And then the happily ever after.

Could love really survive a broken heart or a betrayal? What if your perception of that betrayal was nothing like it seemed? That the one who broke your heart doesn’t remember the love you shared.

Ayden Daniels knows that feeling all too well. He returns to the small town of Maxville, Florida to face the woman responsible for his shattered heart and find he must work with her to fight in an ancient war between witches and demons.

Kalissa Bradenton isn’t your average coffee shop owner. Born to an elite witch bloodline with a rare genetic mutation, she’s a Divinity on a mission. The death of her parents sends her away from her Maxville, Florida, home and into an ancient war between witches and demons. When childhood friend Ayden Daniels comes to her aid after an almost fatal accident, visions of a past she doesn’t remember sparks an old flame and new desires. With the past slowly becoming clearer, she eagerly sets her sights on mending Ayden’s heart and gaining his trust–until a ghost from her past returns to claim her as his demonic mate.

Ayden, the new Sheriff of Maxville and grandson of the oldest living Divinity, is investigating a series of Divinity killings. When he comes face-to-face with the one woman he hopes to have little to no contact with, old pain rises, quickly followed by anger and resentment. Through his rare power of adaptability, he learns actions from the past may not be what they seem. Hope fills his broken heart and determination pushes him to do whatever it takes to win Kalissa’s heart once more before he loses her forever.

Together they must find the strength to mend their tormented souls, while fighting an evil out to destroy the world.

Places to Purchase:

Kalissa needed answers. Eighteen months was long enough to sit by and wait for the authorities. The mounting frustration said it was time to take matters into her own hands.

After much debate and hours of heated discussion, she’d finally convinced her twin to go into the attic to search through their parents’ things in hopes of finding some clue to their deaths. They’d avoided it far too long, afraid of facing the heart-breaking memories.

On her way up the stairs of the mansion-size farmhouse that familiar country-vibe their mother loved swirled around her, warmth and love turning into gut-tightening grief. She and Khloe shared the same overflowing love for their home and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. That was why, at thirty-two, they still lived there. It was almost customary. Witches lived in covens, communities where magickin–witches, fae, and other magic-born beings–lived away from human judgment and prejudices. Magickin lived together most their lives.

The fact that she and her twin were Divinities was even more of a reason to stay close to the coven. There were things lurking in the shadows that wanted possession over the god-like powers running in their blood. Their life essence, the magic that gave them youth and longevity.

In the attic, she cased a longing, tearful gaze around the room and the boxes that held their parents’ lives. Converted to a home office a month after her parents moved in, it matched the rest of the rooms throughout the house. Walls painted white with maple honey wood trim. The office was intertwined with their mother’s personal touch, with lavender and sage-colored curtains hanging from the single small window. Family photos of all stages of life littered the shelves and walls. Kalissa didn’t have the heart to take any of them down. That would be too much of a good-bye. So they would remain, as a positive reminder of the loving family they had once been.
