ARC Review: Wild by Sophie Jordan

I have been waiting for this book a very long time. When I finished the first 2 books of this series and I remember screaming at my friend "Where is Georgia?" I could not wait to find out what happened to her and the book did not disappoint.

At first, I was unsure of how things would play out being Logan was still in high school when this all started. I was worried that he would come off as immature and inexperienced. Instead, Sophie Jordan made Logan deliciously sexy. His age was made irrelevant with his sexiness and experience. He knew exactly what he was doing when it came to women and definitely had a thing or two to teach Georgia.

Georgia on the other hand, seemed act like a child. I was so concerned about her when reading Tease, and had high hopes for her but I found she acted very immature. I didn't like the way she was so easily manipulated by her mother and even Connor. She was slightly annoying with the way she kept playing with Logan's emotions but he was just so irresistible, she had no choice but to fall into his arms whenever Logan came around, and really who could blame her? Their chemistry was so intense and they left me wanting more every time they were together.

I must say I really enjoyed this series. Foreplay and Tease were fantastic but I must say Wild was by far my favorite. I did not think it could get any hotter than Reece and Shaw but Sophie Jordan really surpassed any standards I had set. She blew me away when she described Logan. I only wish this book would have kept going just so I could have more time enjoying him. He is incredibly hot and I was certainly left wanting a lot more of him.

ARC Review: The Wedding Hoax by Heather Thurmeier

A girl always dreams about that one guy that got away. The Wedding Hoax by Heather Thurmeier turns that classic fantasy into a fun and entertaining story.

I loved how Daisy and Cole were first brought back together in the coffee shop. I couldn't help but find them so adorable as they spoke after the spilled coffee. I was a little worried about how things would work out after I heard the arrangement. The marketing plot to benefit both their professional careers was a great publicity stunt but I'm not sure there is any woman out there who would put themselves in that kind of position with someone who had broken her heart. Also, I wasn't sure how believable the story would be to sell to the people since Cole had a reputation of hooking up with a lot of women. On the other hand, I guess there's also that fantasy of being the girl that finally gets the uncontrollable bachelor to settle down. In the end though, I loved how Daisy was such a hard working and caring person and I loved Cole's focus and determination. It made for that celebrity power couple that you always find yourself rooting for.

The Wedding Hoax was a very enjoyable story from start to finish. The way the characters were drawn to each other was undeniable and in the end made this second chance love story very charming. I'm looking forward to reading more from Heather Thurmeier in the future, hoping I can get just a little more provocative and enticing read.

ARC Reivew: Composing Love by Audra North

This book was a bit of a challenge for me to read. I was really disappointed from the beginning. The first time they met, the way they interacted and the way things worked out just felt awkward. Also, everything happened within such a short amount of time that the book felt rushed. The whole feel of the book was like I was running a race and it was not a good run.

Minh was such a hard person to relate to. She was annoying at times, especially when she would refer to “the rules.” I couldn’t get my mind around the idea that a person could be so close-minded. I could not understand why she connected so well with Chris. A person that is so into “rules” would not have even looked twice at a guy like Chris.

I loved the way Chris was described. The tattoos and piercing had me intrigued. Unfortunately, I quickly lost my admiration for him when he would start speaking about his ex and always compared Minh to her. It seemed as if he just could not let that go and I was almost certain he would never be able to get over it.

Overall, I just could not get into this book. It seemed so unrealistic and hasty. The story lacked something, almost like Minh’s music. It was ordinary and didn’t have that special something to make it stand out. Unfortunately, the whole mathematician and musician story just did not add up for me.

ARC Review: Temptation by Robin Covington

Temptation was a book I was very interested in reading. The book cover alone had me intrigued from the beginning. Everyone fantasizes about meeting a celebrity and falling in love. Who wouldn't want that?

I must say Max was very sexy. He's everything you would imagine a hot firefighter being. The way he handled Kit and took care of her is just what you would expect from a hot fireman. I couldn't believe how he went from being so close-minded about relationships to being completely committed to Kit in such a short amount of time. Their connection was undeniable, but I just couldn't understand how he was against a serious commitment one minute and the next he couldn't live without her.

As far as Kit goes, she was a bit boring for a celebrity. She came with a good amount of drama as far as her mother and her career were concerned but I just couldn't get into her character. The only time I really liked her was when she was with Max. Their chemistry was unbelievably hot and I found myself wishing they would get back together just for the sex.

The ending of the book was not my favorite. It felt rushed and chaotic. Maybe it would have been better had the last chapter not been as long as it was but it was just too much to take in.

I don't know exactly what it was that left me feeling a bit unsatisfied but I just feel like there was a hole in the story. The sex scenes were amazing but the desire was not fulfilled. All in all, the book was good it just missed in some areas that I think could have made the book that much better. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author as this book left me craving just a little bit more.
