Guest Post with Author Lacey Wolfe and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome back to the blog author Lacey Wolfe. Lacey has stopped by to chat and has brought along some guests. But before I give the floor to Lacey, lets get to know a bit about her.

It's always been my dream to be a writer. Ever sense I was a child, creating stories has been a passion of mine. I have always said that one day I would be an author. Finally, I am working on this dream of mine. I have two children who have been keeping me busy for the past 7 years. My youngest is starting pre-k this year and I have more time for me and to concentrate on what I want out of this life. So I am picking up pen and paper...well I guess keyboard and screen, and working on this dream. It isn't going to be easy. There will be many ups and downs, but I am ready. I know this dream will come true, my mom told me so, "You can be anything you want to be when you grow up." Thanks mom, here goes nothing!

Hi Danielle, thanks for having us on your blog. I’m Lacey Wolfe and today I’m going to be chatting with the two heroines from the first two books in my Hot Bods Series. Skylar is from Fool Me Once and Amy is her best friend and is the heroine in the latest, More Than Useful.

Lacey: Hi Amy and Skylar. Thanks for chatting with me today.

Amy: No problem. I’m excited. Unlike Skylar, this is my first interview.

Skylar: Its fun.

Lacey: Up first, Skylar, how are you are Drew?

Skylar: Great. Getting everything all finalized for our wedding.

Lacey: Great. Amy…how are you and Adam?

Amy: Dreamy and fun. Would you believe I have to convince him that I want to have a big wedding. Every day he begs me to elope. Nothing like the Adam we know from More Than Useful.

Lacey: That’s for sure. Are you two still as close as ever or have your relationships gotten in the way of your friendship?

Amy: As close as ever—if not closer. We talk almost every day. Especially since we are each other’s maid of honors. We have to talk about the weddings.

Lacey: Possible double wedding?

Skylar: No, we need our own special days. I know I don’t want to share my spotlight.

Amy: I agree. A day we can each feel special and all eyes are on us. *Stares off dreamy eyed*

Lacey: Amy, any readers who are just now reading your story and learning about the time while you and Adam were ‘just having fun.’ You two never really hit the sheets, just any other surface. Are you still creative in that department?

Amy: The bed is so boring. *giggles*. We put a lot of surfaces to good use. We sleep in the bed and get crazy everywhere else.

Skylar: I don’t think it’s safe to sit anywhere in their house.

Amy: Especially the recliner.

Skylar: Eeew, really?

Lacey: The recliner, huh?

Amy: It’s also a rocker.

Lacey: Interesting. Skylar, has Drew whisked you away on any trips lately?

Skylar: Oh yeah, he loves taking me away for the weekend. And I love it, I get to get away from life. And work. The gym has been hectic lately.

Lacey: Well Ladies, I won’t keep you away from your men to much longer. I really enjoyed chatting and writing your stories.

Skylar: Whose story is your favorite?

Lacey: *blushes* I have to choose? I don’t think I can. I love Fool Me Once because of you Skylar and I love More Than Useful for…Adam.

Amy: Huh?

Lacey: I better get out of here. *runs*

Right now I have a big giveaway going on for my readers. Stop by my blog on my website and in the side bar, click on Thank-You Readers. Lots of prizes up for grabs.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

Drew is the last person Skylar wanted to see across from her at a local bar. A month ago he'd wined and dined her all weekend, leaving her feeling fully in love, but then she awoke alone in an empty hotel room and she hadn't heard from him since.

The weekend Drew spent with Skylar was phenomenal. There had never been anyone who made him feel as complete as she did. He shouldn't have disappeared, he should have called, but his feelings for her scared him, so he distanced himself. But when he saw her again, he knew he couldn't stay away any longer.

Skylar's determined not to give Drew another chance to hurt her, but he's just as determined to win her back. Although it won't be easy, he's up to the challenge, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

What the hell was he doing there? Skylar was finished with her aerobics class. Grabbing a bottle of water and squirting some in her mouth, she checked her schedule. She had an hour before her next class. That meant she had an hour to figure out what he was doing at this gym.

Taking a towel, she wrapped it around her neck and wiped off the sweat. She headed out of the room, intent on finding him. He was easy to spot. He was in the cardio area, in the back row like a typical man, watching the ladies' butts jiggle as they worked out. Rolling her eyes, she started his way.

"Hi, Drew," she said sweetly.

He turned off his machine and grabbed his water bottle. She watched as he touched it to his full lips, taking in a long sip.

"If you're done, do you mind following me so we can talk a minute?" she asked. She knew a confrontation in the middle of the gym wouldn't look good for either her or the business.

"Sure."

Spinning around, she headed toward the staff only break room. Once there she stepped aside so he could come in. Luckily the place was empty. She shut the door and locked it.

"What are you doing here?" She placed her hands on her hips, trying to portray she was irritated by him, when all she really wanted was to feel his mouth on her again.

"Honestly, I had no idea you would be here."

"Yeah, and I should believe that. I haven't seen you in a month until last night and then today you show up at my work place."

He took a seat, clearly worn out from his run. "My company just switched gyms. I was having a tough morning, so I wanted to blow off some steam by taking a run."

"Sounds convenient," she retorted.

"Shit, I didn't know you would be here. It's a plus though." He eyed her belly, and she imagined his tongue there, licking her sweat off.

Silence filled the room. She didn't know whether to believe him or not. His explanation sounded logical, and she would hate to think fate worked this out. Fate was what she first thought brought him into her life to begin with. He seemed so perfect for her. When they made love, it was so hot it almost seemed like sparks were flying off their bodies. At least at the time she considered it making love. Now she knew it was just sex to him, nothing more.

"Come here." He motioned to her.

She snickered. "I don't think so."

"Please, I just want to feel you again."

"Ain't happening, buddy. You had your chance." She knew all she had to do was resist him; that was the hardest part.

He reached out, grabbed her arm, and pulled her to him. Yanking away from him, she took a step backward.

"Come on, Sky, I know you still have feelings for me."

"Oh, I definitely have feelings for you, just not the ones you're hoping for."

He chuckled. "You know, there's a thin line between love and hate."

"That line is pretty thick for me."

"I'm not so sure."

"I am." At least she hoped.

He stood, closing in on her. As he stepped toward her, she found herself once again flat against the wall. Shit, how does this keep happening? His mouth was too close for comfort. Her eyes drifted to it for just a second, knowing it was a mistake.

"This is not a good idea," she whispered. Desire stirred in her.

"I want to have you. I need to have you. You're all I have wanted."

Placing her hands on his toned chest, she pushed him back. "You're not doing this to me again, got it?"

"I will win you back," he said.

Can she settle for just a little fun?

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning Adam stops by Amy's bakery for one of her delicious muffins…and a little flirting. When he finally asks her out, Amy is thrilled.

Adam informs her from the beginning that he isn't looking for anything serious. Just a little fun. Amy agrees, even though she isn't entirely sure that's what she wants.

She does her best to play it cool, but Adam is sending so many mixed signals he's confusing her, which she finds incredibly frustrating.

Adam is terrified by the feelings he's developing for Amy. It would be so much easier if he just backed away from her. Then there's his sister, who is insisting that Amy is not the right girl for him.

Will Adam be able to figure out what his heart desires before it's too late and he loses his chance at true happiness?

Amy walked to the sliding glass door and peered out. An unfamiliar blue sports car pulled up. Biting her lip, she watched as it parked in front of her building. Out stepped Adam. Good God, he was hot, wearing dark jeans and a white button-down shirt. He walked with confidence radiating off his body as he approached her building. A knock sounded on her door and slowly she crossed the living room. Trying hard to gather the courage to answer, she wiped her palms together and counted to three.

As she opened the door and saw him standing there she was speechless. His eyes sparkled and as he smiled she noticed a dimple on his right cheek. An urge came over her to kiss him. It took everything in her not to yank him in by his shirt and throw him onto the couch.

"You look beautiful," he said.

"You look g-great too," she stuttered, wanting to kick herself. "Uh, you want to come in for a moment?"

"Sure." He stepped into the apartment.

"My roommate isn't here. Can I get you a drink?"

"You got any whisky?" He laughed.

"Uh." She wasn't sure what to say.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous. Thought it might take the edge off."

She smiled. "Me too, maybe we both should take a shot to get over our nerves."

She went into the kitchen, grabbed a stool, and climbed up. Opening the cabinet above the fridge, she pulled down a bottle of Jack and two shot glasses. A warmth crept up behind her. His hand was then on her waist.

"Don't want you to fall." He spoke in a raspy tone.

She said nothing, just tried to concentrate on not passing out. One small touch on her lower back sent tingles shooting through her whole body. She was already feeling moist between her legs.

Climbing down, she set the whisky on the counter. Amy unscrewed the top and then filled each glass halfway. Picking both shots up, she turned and handed one to him. He let his fingers linger against hers a moment. If she wasn't careful they wouldn't be leaving this apartment.

"Count of three?" he asked.

She nodded.

"One, two, three."

Each put their glass to their lips, eyes on one another, and tipped the glass up. The liquid was warm as it slid down Amy's throat. Hopefully this would calm her nerves and hormones.

"Can't say I've ever done a shot with my date before we went out," he said as he set the glass down.

"Yeah, this is new for me too."

Her head was already starting to get a little cloudy. Damn, she hadn't eaten since lunch. There was nothing to absorb the alcohol. She just might be feeling real good, real soon.

"This might be forward, but if I don't kiss you before we go out, it's all I'll think about." He looked longingly into her eyes and grabbed a hold of her waist, tugging her against his chest.

Without any hesitation she leaned forward, letting her lips press into his. Her eyes closed as his mouth took hers, lightly at first. She expected the kiss to be short and sweet but urgency took over her. She tangled her fingers into his hair and thrust her tongue into his warm mouth with a strong desire to taste the whiskey on his breath.
